Vienna entered the car and the two bodyguard were waiting for her already, she discard them after calling Alan to inform him about everything then she told him she will be going to pay a quick visit to her parent and he consented to it
Vienna start the car and drove towards her parent’s house, they decided to come live in the city after a year and only just settled down, her mind went to Sam's question and she had a doubt in her mind
She run her hand through her hair hoping whatever it id Benita had said about being her stepsister is a lie because that will means that her father cheated on her mother, she knows her dad very well and she cant trust him enough knowing the kind of person he is but he accept Benita then without any complaint
Vienna soon arrived at her parent’s compound and park the car then get out and went in and was surprised to see that Vanessa is also at home crying in Victoria's arms, she was alerted and rush forward to them
“What happened? Why is she crying so much?” she asked turning to Victoria
“I don’t know, she wont talk” Victoria answered and pull Vanessa away a bit then motioned to Vienna to sit down then pull Vanessa into her arms
“She’s your sister, deal with it she has been crying for an hour and my hands are feeling numb” she said and entered the kitchen stretching her hands
“Isn't she your daughter?” Vienna called after her but her mother wasn’t listening so she turned back to Vanessa instead and pat her back gently
“what’s wrong? If you cant talk to mum then you should tell me what it is” she persuade but Vanessa keeps crying
“Are you going to turn yourself to a crying baby? do you think you are still a child?” Vienna said impatiently but Vanessa still didn’t say anything but keep crying and Vienna decide to take a guess
“Is this about Nisan?” she asked hoping it not but Vanessa just cried more and that confirmed her guess
“What about him again? I thought you were already over him” Vienna sighed feeling angry at Nisan
“How dare he maltreat my sister, that idiot” she said angrily and pick her phone to make a call
“Don’t call him!” Vanessa yelled snatching the phone away from her hand
“Then why are you here crying? What happened? Talk to me” she urged her and Vanessa stopped crying to explain
“He’s getting engaged” she said and Vienna sighed heavily while Vanessa continued
“That’s not even why am angry, everyone is talking about me in the company that I tried to seduce him and break his relationship with Jennie” she yelled more annoyed and start to cry again
“How dare him do that to you, don’t worry I wont let him treat you this way and go scot-free with it, I need to teach him a lesson”
“Am never going to resign no matter what, he met me at the company so he should be the one to leave”
“Exactly, you are right. What’s the name of the company? I will have Alan acquire it”
“How can you not know the name of the company your sister is working?” Vanessa snapped at her and left the room angrily
Victoria came out of the kitchen and watch Vanessa walk out of the room angrily, she walk up to Vienna and sat down next to her placing the plate of fruits in her hand on the table in front of them
“I thought you will be able to console her, guess you are as bad as I am” Victoria commented
“Where is dad?” Vienna questioned changing the topic
“He should be home soon, are you here to see him?”
“Yes, I need to speak with the both of you about something” she answered, Victoria nodded and pick her phone to call her husband and confirm his location
“Hello dear, when are you getting home?” she asked him
“Am already her but I forgot to get the meat pie you wanted so am going back to get it” he answered
“Forget about that and just come here, Vienna is here to see us” she told him and he agreed before cutting the call
“Are you staying over?” Victoria asked her taking another fruit from the plate
“Am not sure I should” Vienna told her also taking a bite and in less than a minute, Miner entered the house and the both of them stood up to greet him with Victoria hugging him and taking his bag
“I wonder what is the cause of this excitement” Miner said noticing the change in his wife normal behaviour
“Are you not satisfied that am happy?”
“No, am just pleasantly surprised”
“Vanessa is also here” Vienna informed him and Miner nodded knowingly and sat down putting off his suit and shoes while Victoria took them and went to the room
“I will leave you two to talk then” she said before leaving
“What is so urgent?” he asked her
“Dad, I just need to confirm something from you. Its about Benita” Vienna started
“Benita? what about her? Is she disturbing you again? I shouldn't have let her get out of jail”
“Did you help her to get out?” Vienna questioned
“No I did not, someone did it” he answered
“And how did you know that? Were you planning to help if someone did not?”
“She was like my daughter so am just saying” Miner answered and smiled nervously
“Dad, is there any other thing I need to know about Benita? Any secret about her?” Vienna asked sternly
“What do you mean by secret? I wont keep anything from you and your mother” he defended
“But you’ve always kept a lot from us” Vienna pointed out but Miner was silent
“Dad, did you cheat on mom with Benita's real mother?” she questioned accusingly
“What! Who told you such ridiculous lie? I have never cheated on your mom with anybody” Miner denied raising his voice which attract Victoria
“what are you accusing your dad of?” Victoria said as she entered rebuking Vienna
“How can you think of your father as such, he will not cheat on me”
“Then how do you explain your relationship with Benita?” Vienna asked again still not believing him
“What kind of a question is that? You know we just took her in then because…”
“Mom, please let dad speak for himself” Vienna said cutting her off and Victoria turned to face Miner
“What does she mean?” she queried
“I don’t have that kind of relationship you are thinking with her, I just happened to know her biological father” Miner explained and continued with Victoria and Vienna listening attentively
“A friend of mine gave birth to her out of wedlock but his wife wouldn't accept the fact so he told me to help take care of her when she was two years old, I couldn’t take care of her nor inform you so I dropped her at the orphanage house but then after some years, her father died and his wife took over so I had to look for a way to get her back” he said and paused before continuing with his explanation
“Then Vienna suddenly came out with the idea of us taking in a girl, when I found out she is the same girl I left at the orphanage years back I agreed instantly”
“Which of your friends? Spencer?” Victoria asked and he nodded yes
“Why didn’t you tell me about it?” Victoria asked buy he couldn’t reply
“I think Benita is having a misconception that you are her biological father and you abandoned her
“Is she stupid? There is no resemblance at all”
“Maybe she remembers your face from when you dropped her at the orphanage, I will have to leave now” she told them and stood to leave
“Didn't you say you are going to sleepover?”
“I said am not sure” Vienna corrected
“What about your sister?” Victoria asked not wanting her to leave so soon
“I will take care of it” she replied as she walks and leave the house.
