Aviena's POV

I was starting to get annoyed with myself too. I can't control my emotions anymore.

I tried not to think about him because he also had no responsibility to me. After all, we don't really need to update each other. I was the only one who thought that it was needed when in fact he's just replying to me because I'm just always trying to talk to him.

It's your fault, Aviena. You were thinking that everything about the two of you is normal when in fact it's not. You know you're going to get hurt too but you always say that it will just be in the end.

I just smiled to myself before staring at the ceiling of where I was staying.

I also heard a knock from outside so I knew immediately that it was my Big Sister, she had called me earlier but I keep on telling her that I'll just follow them.

I was also irritated to get up from my bed before I went out. I just acted like I was okay when I was already outside.

"Let's go?" I asked with a miserly smile now.

“The crow already turned white, but you're still lying on your bed!” she was so angry with me that I couldn't help but roll my eyes at her.

"Overacting, you just called me," I said before walking with her.

"Don't you dare answer back at me, Aviena. I've been calling you," she said so I didn't speak so that she wouldn't be high blood while walking with me. I also continued walking until we reached the car. I just kept quiet so we would not argue anymore.

I tried not to think about River but I couldn't do that either.

"Someone saw your husband, huh?" I just closed my eyes because even Big Sister was planning to remind me of River again.

“So he's finally dating someone else? Don't worry, it looks like your image won't be damaged because private people are the one who only knows about it. It's will only spread in the industry. You don't have to think about it,” she told me so I couldn't help but sarcastically laugh. That's right. I shouldn't be worrying about him.

"And that's better than falling even though you know you'll be separated in 2 years." I just nodded and didn't speak at all. She knows me too well that's why she noticed that I'm not fine at all.

“Why are you acting like that? Don't say you already like him?” she asked me. She even folded her arms while looking at my eyes. She also seemed to be waiting for me to deny it but I didn’t. I just shrugged so she laughed while looking at me.

“Oh my gash?! Don't tell me you already really fallen for that guy? Are you kidding, Aviena?” I could see the insult in her eyes so I couldn’t stop myself from shrugging.

“Stop with your nonsense, Big Sister. Can you let me rest now? Can you please stop stressing me out? It's already been so tiring this week,” I said irritably. Her smiling face gradually became more serious now.

“How many times have I warned you never to fall with him but what happened? You didn't listen to me! This is your fault,” she said angrily so I just bit my lip so hard. I know. I know it very well. But still, can I really say to my heart not to fall for him? I can't dictate my heart either.

It's really my fault so I shouldn't get mad at River for dating someone else.

For the whole ride to Morong Beach, I tried not to think about him.

When I got there, I slowly walked toward the shore. I should forget River for a while. Even just for a moment.

I couldn’t help but smile when I saw the place, it was really pretty. The sea was more gentles than the other seas. There seems to be a rhythm that accompanies the wave with each stroke of it on the shore. I couldn’t help but smile on my lips as I approached it.

Somehow I had fun touring all day in the area. But by noon I couldn't help but stare at my cellphone. He really didn't bother to text or call me. I was even able to check out Kylie Denise’s Instagram account. I just smiled bitterly when I saw that there was a new post with River.

Hmm, that's the reason he's not texting me, huh? He's really busy dating. Good for him.

“What are you doing there, Aviena? It's time to eat. Let's go. Don't tell me you're thinking about River again? You're just wasting time,” he said, still looking annoyed with me. It's like it's my fault for falling to River. But she's right though, Aviena. I couldn’t help but roll my eyes before standing up. I just followed her to eat.

When we finished eating, the staff had some game but I had no intention of joining so I decided to head near the beach, under the coconut tree.

I was just mesmerized on the beach for a long time, remembering some of my travels together with River. He even said that he'll go here. Why am I even so hopeful?

"Vena." I looked up when someone called my name. I immediately saw Tom who seemed hesitant to even call me. I look at him for a while.

"Hey," I said, smiling at him slightly.

"You look unwell," he said to me so I turned to him before I smiled a little.

"I'm fine," I told him before shrugging. He didn't leave his seat and just kept looking at me. I turned to him again so he spoke hesitantly.

For days, he seemed to regret what he did, I was also really serious about what I told him to stay away. I don't understand why he is here now.

"I'm sorry, Vena…" he said so I just smiled. I forgave him too. I feel wrong about what he has done. It was never right to do that with women, single or not.

I did feel sexually wronged by what he has done and I don't really feel like talking with him for now.

“You only ate a little earlier. That's why I bought you dessert and drinks,” he said, handing me what he brought. I was just thankful for that.

“I’m really sorry for what I have done. I know that there's no excuse for that,” he said. He was really sincere with what he said so I just smile at him.

"Apology accepted." He was just looking at me for a while until he did nothing but leave because I had no intention of talking to him anymore.

I also amused myself over the past few hours.

“Come on, Vena. We're playing, ” some who passed by my place said and invite me to play with them. I just smiled slightly before shaking my head. I don't really have the energy to talk with people right now.

It was three o'clock in the afternoon when I decided to go island hop alone because I also wouldn't be able to calm my brain, especially since I can't even take a nap.

"Should I take a picture of you, Ma'am?" the banker asked but I just shook my head and smiled. I don't really want to take photos right now and I'm not really in the mood to post pictures on my social media accounts.

I was enjoying the view and the water when we returned to the place where my acquaintance was. I just quietly walked over there.

I didn't mix with them either, but I just stayed on the beach because the sun was already going down.

I just watched how the wave dances along with the kiss of darkness to the sun. I was just dumbfounded while watching them. It was pretty and I would like to see it again.

Maybe I should really stay here in Batanes for a while, even for a moment, I want to forget River. I want to forget what I really feel about him. I also don't want to see him right now.

"Where have you been? You didn't even say goodbye to us! We didn't know that you tried to island-hop! What do we know if you already drowned?” Big Sister asked me angrily so I couldn't stop scratching my head. I know I'm really wrong this time. I didn't even tell them I was leaving.

“Sorry. I just feel like visiting a different island here,” I said.

"Big Sister," I called her so she turned to me and raised an eyebrow.

"What?" she asked, looking at me like I'm a piece of garbage.

"I'll stay here for a while," I said so she immediately looked at me.

"What?" she angrily asked me.

"I said I'll be staying in Batanes for a while."

"I heard. I am not deaf. Are you losing your mind? You still have a job in Manila. You can't just leave it at that!” she said angrily to me so I turned to her.

“Let me stay here for a while, Big Sister. When I come back, you can fill my schedule… ” I said weakly so I could see immediately how she looked at me. She still couldn't believe it.

“Fine. Just make sure you don't do anything different here and I will get many more projects for you in Manila. Also, be careful of the people you talk to! I'm having trouble figuring out how to block some issues about you. Someone took a picture of you and Tom earlier. It almost spread but because of your husband it didn't,” she said so I was completely stunned especially when I heard the word 'your husband.

"What are you saying, Big Sister?" I asked, still frowning at her.

“One reporter took a picture of you with Tom. Fortunately, River blocked it immediately,” ahe said so I immediately raised my eyebrow. He really knows how to block the media, huh?

That was his job, Vena. It's really right because both of your names will be destroyed.

I eventually just shrugged my shoulders. Maybe I should be thankful to River that he did this.

The next day, the team is already leaving and so will Big Sister. I will also leave our hotel to find another place to visit here in Batanes. I have a week to do it.

“Remember what I told you, don’t you ever cause trouble and make me work,” Big Sister seriously said so I just shrugged before continuing walking. I saw her looking at me while narrowing her eyes.

“I won’t. Don't worry,” I said with a shrug.

“Post pictures. Don't let your fans forget you for even one day,” she reminded. I just nodded because I'm sure we won't end talking until she gets the answer she wants.

"You're going to stay here for a while, Vena?" Julie asked me so I smiled and nodded.

They're curiously looking at me but I just smiled a little before saying goodbye.

After that, I went straight to the songsong ruins which I really wanted to visit. It was really pretty and I'm suddenly interested in ruins right now because I'm also watching scooby doo.

When I got there, a smile immediately curved my lips. I was about to take pictures when I stare at my phone. I slowly realize that River doesn't text me at all.

That's when I realize I was the only one who keeps on updating him and trying to get messages from him when in fact, he doesn't care about me.

Right. Reality sucks.
