Chapter 40: Chapter 40
36.1
Wrum just wants me to go back to my room. Wim wanted the same but I preferred to sit on the sofa, according to Don Guillermo. Even when I could see Wrum’s stares at me, he was staring like he was about to kill me. I just want to know about my father. Wrum and Wim always refuse to answer it.
Even if I am afraid that Don Guillermo hurts me again, even if I am afraid that he might repeat what he did to on the ship, but still I need to do it. To find out where my father is. I wouldn't look for my father to him if he didn't threaten me. Although, I'm not sure yet, I have a good feeling that he has it.
Don Guillermo is sitting on the other sofa in front of me, while Wrum remains standing. He looked angry with me.
"Go back to your room," Wrum commanded me, but I just shook my head to him.
"No, I do not want to" I stutter weakly.
"Let's just follow Wrum's order, Silic. Let's go. Let's go back upstairs." Wim also said to me on the other side.
I shook my head again. I am not afraid if they will call me hard-headed.
"I am not going upstairs unless he will tell me everything." as I am referring to Don Guillermo.
"Why do you have to hide Sili? I am not a monster. In the first place, I know you brought her here to Cebu." explained Don Guillermo. "We did meet there on the ship. Isn't it right, Silic?"
Staring at him, I didn’t like what he did on the ship. It looks like poison was put in the champagne I drank to make me lose consciousness at that time. Thankful that they didn't bring me anywhere.
"Damn," Wrum said weakly. It seems like nothing has been done yet. He sat on the sofa near where he was standing. He even slightly motioned to Wim and the rest of his people as if he wanted to get rid of it.
"What did you do to my father?" I asked him. "You probably wouldn't be threatening me there if you didn't do anything to him." as I am referring to what he did to the ship.
He smiled. "Nothing will happen to your father."
"You're lying," I told him. "Where's my father? Tell me, Don Guillermo!"
He sat properly. "You know Silic I didn't do anything to your father. I just gave you a warning," he explained. "If I did something bad to you, I would have taken you anywhere for a long time. But you're here. Healthy, alive, and breathing like a princess, not as a slave." he said and turned his gaze to Wrum.
"Let's say we warned you because something bad was going to happen to your father. You didn't know that the person you trusted would kill your father," he said while looking at Wrum, then he turned it back to me. Like as if that's already a clue he gave me.
Wrum said, I had to trust him and I am afraid he will ruin I am giving at him.
"Trusting these days is so hard for you Silic. You can't even trust me, and you can't even trust the people around you," he said to me. "The people around you might be the one who kills you and your father."
I was suddenly nervous. He told me that seriously. He has a point. I should not give my full trust to any of them. To Wim, Xander, Wim, and even Don Guillermo.
"Stop that stupidity. You're just scaring her." Wrum groaned at him.
"Why my dearest son? Are you afraid that Silic might know the truth?" Don Guillermo asked him.
Wrum just turned to me. He just looked at me, but he immediately returned it to Don Guillermo. "I'm not afraid." and Wrum. "Why I am afraid? I'm not hiding anything from her. So stop talking about nonsense!"
"I'm not talking about nonsense here. I am just telling the truth. The truth she needs to know." and Don Guillermo said.
"She already knew everything. She doesn't have to know anything else." Wrum said.
I just sighed. I don’t know who I will believe I need to trust. No, I can't trust all of them. I should trust no one except myself. That's the motto that I need to do right now.
"Then, answer it now," I said to Don Guillermo. "Where is my father?"
"You'll know it if we go back to Manila Silic," said Don Guillermo. "For now, maybe, Wrum needs to stay here for how many days to finish his businesses here in Cebu."
"And, I am going to tell you this Silic. We are all your enemy, and your enemy can never be your friends," he said to me again.
"I need an accurate answer, Don Guillermo!" I shout at him. Why doesn't he just tell me that my father isn't with him or that with his? Damn him. That’s what I want to hear from him.
Don Guillermo just smiled at me. "Let's say no, we can also say that your father is not with me but it is in the hands of the person you trust," he said.
What?
Wrum immediately stood up from his seat and approached me. He grabbed my hand and he immediately pulled me away.
"Wrum heck!" I just shouted at him. He did what he did to me before. He pulled me back up the stairs.
"Remember what I told you Silic!" I heard Don Guillermo shout.
"Don't listen to that idiot. He is just scaring you." I heard him just say that to me as he continued pulling me back into the room. "Listen to me instead. He is just playing you!"
"You are just playing me too!" I shout at him.
He did not listen to me. He kept pulling me until we finally entered the room. Then he let go of me and I just saw his evil gaze from him.
"I told you not to go out!" he preached to me again. "And I told you that don't listen to him!"
"Why do you have to hide me? Why you want me to stay here?" I just asked him too. "Is it because your father is here and you're afraid he'll tell me the truth? Isn't it?"
"F*ck!" he cursed a word to me. "Do you believe him than me? I told you to believe me! I told you to trust me!"
"How can I trust you ?!" I just asked him. "How can I trust you if you're going to hide me the truth!"
He sighed and fell silent. He just avoided looking at me and turned it in the other direction. If he wanted me to trust him, he would have told me the truth. How can I trust him if he is always like that?
He turned his gaze back to me. "This is not just a Silic play. You're my slave and you need to follow what I need you to do." .
I can't do it.
"My slave, I want you to trust me. That's an order from your master." he said to me again.
