Chapter 116: Chapter 116
Claudia's eyes widened in shock. She wanted to speak, but words refused to come out of her mouth.
“So this is what you've been planning, Claudia? You just want to kill me and take everything I own away from my biological daughter?” Mr. Watson blurted out.
Patricia sniffed hard as she rushed to Mr. Watson. “Dad… Dad… I've always loved you as my father. I have never colluded with her to hurt you.”
“Get your filthy hands off me, you daughter of a bastard! I have lived with you for so long without knowing that you're not my daughter.” He continued.
With that, Claudia went on her knees, sobbing helplessly. Of course, she knew her little show was about to go down. “Eddy, you heard wrong. I didn't mean it that way… I… I…”
“Shut your mouth, you chronic liar! You think I wouldn't find out, right? All you've ever done was tear my family apart, and give your bastard daughter a place where she has no place. How dare you, Claudia?” He yelled at her.
Sobbing uncontrollably, Patricia rushed to hold Mr. Watson's hand, but he slapped her hand off. “Daddy… I'm your daughter, please don't send me away. You are the only one I know as my father. I promise you, Dad, I will never try to hurt Valerie again. I'm willing to confess that the video at Valerie's wedding was as a result of her being drunk.”
Flustering his brows, Mr. Watson turned to Patricia sharply. “Don't tell me you and your mother know something about the humiliation Valerie went through on her wedding day?”
“Patricia! You knucklehead, will you keep quiet?” Claudia spoke in between gritted teeth.
“I would rather not do this anymore, Mom. If you're willing to be kicked out of this family, I'm not willing. How do I show my face to the public as a bastard daughter? I can't take that! I'll do anything to prove that I'm eligible to be a daughter of this home.” Patricia cried out.
Fuming angrily, Mr. Watson landed a resounding slap on Claudia's cheek, causing her to lose balance and hit her buttocks on the hard floor. “How dare you try to hurt my daughter? You even had her humiliated on her wedding day. What exactly is your purpose of coming into this family, you scheming witch?”
“Daddy, I'm not as cruel as she is. Please, don't send me away.” Patricia continued pleading.
Mr. Watson yelled at Patricia. “Shut up!”
“Yes… Yes, Dad.”
“And don't you dare call me your father. You don't deserve to call me that after what you and your mother did to my Valerie. Firstly, you will go with me to the press, and publicly clear my daughter's name.” Mr. Watson snapped.
Patricia nodded her head in agreement as tears flooded down her cheeks. “Yes… Yes, I will.”
“What do you expect me to do, Mr. Watson? You've always loved your daughter more than the way you love me and Patricia. Of course, Valerie has always been a stumbling block, so do you expect me to let her be? Too bad, I already have all your properties signed up in my name. It is too late for you to get them back.” Claudia struggled up and continued ranting. Her mouth was already bleeding from the slap her husband gave her.
Mr. Watson smirked. “I've suspected you a long time ago, Claudia. You don't think I'm a dummy, do you? All the documents you think you have been fake. I started suspecting you the moment I learned that you threw my daughter out of the house just because I flew abroad to get treated.”
Shocked and disappointed, Claudia's jaw dropped. “You…”
“Officers!” Mr. Watson called, and Claudia's eyes widened in shock.
Blinking hard, she cried out. “Did you… Did you call the police? How could you?”
In less than a second, the corps marched into the sitting room and dragged Claudia up as she struggled to free herself from their grip.
“How dare you? You're going to lock your wife up, huh? You'll regret this. Let go of me!” She continued yelling.
Ignoring her, Mr. Watson turned to the other policemen. “What are you waiting for? Handcuff her and take her away.”
“Daddy, please… you can let me go to jail. I won't be able to survive there. Daddy… Please, don't let them take me.” Patricia burst into fresh tears.
Turning his back to her, Mr. Watson snorted. “You should have thought of that before turning my daughter into an object of ridicule. The press will visit you in the prison to get my daughter's name cleared. Please, take her away.”
With that, the officers dragged her out, and she continued screaming on top of her voice.
At the Davison's villa, President Ethan walked down the stairs with a smirk on his face. Glaring at Rebecca, he walked to Valerie and kissed her forehead passionately. “Are you deaf, Rebecca? Didn't you hear what my wife had said? You're not wanted here, Why do you insist on forcing yourself here?”
Rebecca stared at him in awe. She had expected him to yell at her and, of course, let her into the house again. “Ethan… Ethan, are you sure that you are okay? Don't you remember what happened a few hours ago?”
“I don't care whatever it is that happened, what matters is that I trust my wife. She would never do something like that.” He replied.
Staggering backwards, Rebecca's mouth was wide in shock. “You trust her after seeing her making out with her ex-boyfriend and…”
“Hush. She did nothing of such and…” President Ethan was still speaking when one of the servants rushed in.
“President… President. Ma'am, Valerie's name is being cleared on the television.”
Valerie gasped. “Really?”
“Turn on the projector.” President Ethan ordered.
