Chapter 346: Chapter 346

"He’s doing well. Master and his wife are very much in love. They’re getting ready for a trip to Europe, and they asked me to send their regards to you," Zi Yunsui said, a hint of envy in his eyes when he mentioned Qi Lingfeng.

Perhaps Qi Lingfeng is the happiest of all! Zi Yunsui thought. And yet... there’s something else I want to tell her.

"By the way, the wife Master found looks a lot like you," Zi Yunsui told Hua Xiaomo.

Hua Xiaomo was taken aback, then broke into a smile.

"Are you talking about Yuan Youya?" Hua Xiaomo asked with a smile.

"Yuan Youya? The girl we met in America, at an American University? And now she’s married to Master, and they seem really happy together," Zi Yunsui said, looking at Hua Xiaomo, a glimmer of light in his eyes.

For some reason, he sensed a profound emotion hidden deep within Hua Xiaomo, one not easily reached. He desperately wanted to get closer to her, to understand her true feelings. Yet, the closer he tried to get, the faster she seemed to withdraw, preventing him from reaching the depths of her heart.

"Yuan Youya really is a good match for Qi Lingfeng. They both seem to genuinely care for each other; it’s a really good feeling," Hua Xiaomo said. A sudden thought struck her: I actually miss Qi Lingfeng quite a bit!

After all, I was with him for nine years, and Qi Lingfeng helped me so much during that time, teaching me so many things.

"Yeah, as long as two people care for each other, they can definitely be happy – that’s really well said," Zi Yunsui smiled. He brushed his long hair back from his forehead, accentuating his handsome features.

Hua Xiaomo looked at Zi Yunsui and was suddenly reminded of Ye Xiangxue.

"Speaking of which, Zi Yunsui, I’m thinking of bringing a good friend of mine back to the company," Hua Xiaomo said to him.

I didn’t expect Hua Xiaomo to discuss such a matter with me, Zi Yunsui mused. After all, it’s trivial. She doesn’t really need to inform me. The company is mine, and as chairman, I have the authority to decide on many things. "You can decide on that sort of thing yourself; you don’t need to tell me," he laughed.

"Well then, I’ll make the decision. The girl’s name is Ye Xiangxue. I hope you’ll get along well with her, Zi Yunsui," Hua Xiaomo said with a smile.

Zi Yunsui nodded without saying a word, glancing at the time.

"It’s almost dinnertime. Would you care to join me for a meal?" Zi Yunsui asked Hua Xiaomo.

"Sure, where do you want to go?" Hua Xiaomo nodded, her eyes shining faintly.

"Let’s go wherever you like; I’m actually very easy to please," Zi Yunsui said with a smile, his eyes sparkling as he quickly draped a casual suit jacket over his shoulders.

He looked particularly dashing.

Hua Xiaomo watched him. He really is a tall, handsome, and distinguished young man, and so young too – only twenty-three this year! And I’m three years older than him! In fact, I’ve only ever seen him as a younger brother.

But isn’t this the prime of his life? He should be dating more, instead of being cooped up at work, Hua Xiaomo thought. In the future, I must work harder for the company so he can have time for his own life.

"360 Degree Perfect Restaurant," Hua Xiaomo suddenly recalled the restaurant’s name and said it aloud.

"No problem, let’s go now." Zi Yunsui nodded, then, with one hand in his trouser pocket, accompanied Hua Xiaomo to the 360 Degree Perfect Restaurant.

「360 Degree Perfect Restaurant.」

When Hua Xiaomo stepped into this place once again, she was suddenly filled with a flood of emotions.

I still remember the complex feelings I had when I came here with Qi Longbing. Qi Longbing once told me the minimum charge here was 20,000 yuan. Per person! At the time, I thought it was so extravagant. Even though Qi Longbing could pay for me and was very generous, using someone else’s money always felt somewhat embarrassing. Yes, I’m just not used to this kind of lifestyle. I prefer to live freely and easily.

"Have you been here with him before?" Zi Yunsui easily picked up on something. They must have many memories here, he surmised.

"I have been here before, but I don’t remember it anymore," Hua Xiaomo said with a smile, then found a seat and quickly ordered.

They chatted while eating but didn’t delve into any specific topics, mostly making small talk.

The atmosphere was quite harmonious. Yet, for some reason, it was in places that one often encountered people one would rather avoid.

Qi Longbing came over with his girlfriend Pan Yutong.

"It’s a small world! Bumping into him again," Zi Yunsui said, his tone nonchalant, his gaze already drifting towards Qi Longbing.

However, he didn’t say anything else; he just looked at Hua Xiaomo across from him. A pang of heartache struck him as he saw the gloom in her eyes.

"Xiao Mo, are you full? How about we leave now?" Zi Yunsui suggested. She looks so uncomfortable seeing that man, he thought. We shouldn’t stay here any longer.

"Alright," Hua Xiaomo nodded and was about to signal for the bill.

Unexpectedly, Qi Longbing had already spoken first. "I’ll take care of the bill for their table."

Zi Yunsui looked slightly displeased, but he quickly said, "There’s no need for President Qi to trouble himself! We’ll pay our own bill." ʀᴇᴀᴅ ʟᴀᴛᴇsᴛ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀᴛ 𝕟𝕠𝕧𝕖𝕝✶𝕗𝕚𝕣𝕖✶𝕟𝕖𝕥

"Business isn’t just about profit, but about courtesy too, right? You came all the way from City B to our City A; it’s only right that I play host, isn’t it?" Qi Longbing said with a smile, then glanced at the silent Hua Xiaomo. I really want to see just how interesting her expression is right now.

Just moments ago in the bridal shop, she was so pliant beneath me, and now she can laugh and chat with another man. Her composure is truly impressive! An unconscious wave of hatred surged in his heart.

Just as Zi Yunsui was about to say something more, Hua Xiaomo interjected, "Since President Qi insists, then we’ll trouble you to settle the bill. Zi Yunsui, let’s go." Hua Xiaomo said no more and quickly brushed past Qi Longbing.

Just encountering him again makes me feel even more awkward. Yes, I won’t forget what he just did to me. It makes me hesitate, filling me with such a resentful, heartbroken feeling. Why must they torment each other when they’re no longer together, no longer in love?
