Chapter 268: Chapter 268
Zi Yunsui looked at Yu Bao and said coldly, "This isn’t the Qi Family’s place, nor is it the Qi Family’s home. This is our master’s place. If you don’t want us to call the police, you should leave immediately!"
Yu Bao wanted to say something more, but Qi Longbing suddenly lifted his arm, stopping him.
The corners of Qi Longbing’s lips curled slightly, his gaze shifting from Xia Shuangming’s face back to the "Blue Moon," his tone incredibly light and unhurried.
"If you’d like to involve the police, then please call them now. I wonder, for the ’Blue Moon’ incident, how many years in prison should you get?" Qi Longbing smiled faintly.
The corners of his eyes lifted slightly, a blend of dark charm and ruthlessness fully apparent in the depths of his blue irises.
Zi Yunsui was about to say more when Xia Shuangming’s eyes suddenly darkened.
He stared intently at Qi Longbing’s face, a stir in the depths of his heart. Did he think he could threaten him with this?He was determined to get the "Blue Moon"!
Suddenly, Xia Shuangming also slowly smiled, replying at an unhurried pace, "Thank you for the reminder, CEO Qi. I really should call the police immediately. I think... those certain risqué photos I’ve recently obtained would pique the police’s interest even more! And oh, shouldn’t the colleagues at the news agency also get a glimpse of someone’s splendor?"
Though not stated explicitly, the provocation and danger in his words directly pushed the CEO to his limits.
Qi Longbing’s handsome face turned dark, rage flaring within him. His blue eyes seemed to emit a dense, dark smoke.
"You fucking want to die, don’t you?" Qi Longbing snarled chillingly, pulling a small, black gun from an inner pocket of his jacket and aiming it at the other man.
Only Hua Xiaomo dared to threaten him ; anyone else, he would make them pay with their life!
As soon as the gun appeared, Zi Yunsui also raised the hunting shotgun she had hidden behind her.
It looked like a gunfight was about to erupt.
Qin Feng’s eyebrows furrowed deeply. He stepped forward, positioning himself between them.
"Don’t act rashly! Please, don’t be impulsive!" Qin Feng said, looking at them both. "We’re all part of the Qi Family. Is there any misunderstanding that can’t be resolved? Why resort to knives and guns?"
Of course, what Xia Shuangming—no, what Qi Lingfeng—had said made him wonder. Could the risqué photos he mentioned actually be of Qi Longbing? But why would Qi Longbing have compromising photos taken of him? Who would be so bold as to do such a thing?
"What Qi Family? Ridiculous!" Xia Shuangming replied coldly with a laugh. "That name, ’Qi,’ I abandoned it ten years ago. I don’t want to be part of the Qi Family—never!"
Suddenly, "COUGH, COUGH, COUGH..." A coughing sound came from outside the door.
The sound startled everyone in the room.
The color drained from Xia Shuangming’s face, and his palm clenched slightly.
Qin Feng immediately walked toward the elder who had entered, supporting his elbow. "Old Master Qi, I’m so sorry. We still ended up disturbing you."
"It’s not your fault. If anyone’s to blame, it’s me, for having descendants of the Qi Family who are growing too bold! So accomplished! Their wings have hardened, and now they listen to no one. They even dare to discard the Qi Family ancestors as if they’re nothing! If this isn’t ingratitude, what is?" Qi Haitian glared coldly at the man wearing the mask, fuming.
Seeing Qi Haitian, Qi Longbing immediately lowered the gun in his hand and walked over to him. "Old Master, what brings you here?"
"If this old bag of bones hadn’t come, were you two brothers going to have an internal feud? Fight amongst yourselves? And become a laughingstock for others, is that it?" Qi Haitian said, greatly displeased, his tone laced with anger.
This was one of the rare occasions Qi Haitian had spoken so sternly, making Qi Longbing lower his gaze slightly. He had indeed been impulsive drawing his gun just now. Or, if this person truly was Lingfeng, the Old Master would certainly not want to let him go.
On the other side, Zi Yunsui had just called out, "Master..."
"Who told you to raise your gun? Put it down!" Xia Shuangming rebuked, his voice suppressed, a torrent of indescribable, complex emotions welling in his chest. After all these years, these Qi Family members had sought him out again. He really couldn’t shake them off, even if he wanted to.
For a moment, the suffocating tension in the air eased slightly, but the strange atmosphere persisted, pressing down on everyone’s heart and causing discomfort.
Old Master Qi, Qi Haitian, looked at Xia Shuangming. "You refuse to acknowledge you are my grandson. You haven’t called home in all these years, not even to your own mother. You intend to sever ties, is that it?"
Xia Shuangming was silent for a good while, looking at him. After a long pause, he said in a low voice, "Old Master Qi, is it? I’ve heard much about your great name. My surname is Xia—Xia Shuangming. Not Qi. I am merely a Feng Shui Master and have no relation whatsoever to the Second Young Master of the Qi Family."
Having said that, Xia Shuangming, with his arms folded, walked over to the glass cabinet. "This ’Blue Water Shining’ was indeed stolen, but I reclaimed it a few days ago. Since you are here, I can return this item to you. But please, do not disturb my life again."
"You have already broken my rules. In the future, I will not be available for any matters!" Xia Shuangming finished, then directly took a key from his pocket and opened the crystal glass cabinet.
Qi Longbing watched him, his eyes narrowing slightly, his gaze sweeping past Old Master Qi Haitian’s face. The other man’s words had clearly distanced him from the Qi Family. It seemed that getting him to return would be difficult.
"Fine, fine! Quite the personality! I don’t care how you obtained this diamond that was stolen from the exhibition. That has nothing to do with me, Qi Haitian. That’s Ah Bing’s affair. Now, if you want this old man to give up on his idea, there’s only one way." Qi Haitian stared at him, his gaze sharp and unwavering.
After a moment, Qi Haitian continued, "And that is for you to take off the mask on your face!"
Xia Shuangming looked at him, his expression beginning to sour.
Just then, a cell phone rang.
Qi Haitian flipped open his phone, saw a number, and quickly dialed it.
Halfway through the call, Qi Haitian’s expression changed. "What? Say that again?... Alright, I’m on my way."
"Old Master, what happened?" Qi Longbing, who had been silent, asked.
Qi Haitian glanced at him, his peripheral vision fixed on Xia Shuangming. "Somehow, word that we found news of Lingfeng reached your Aunt Shen’s ears. She was in a car accident on her way here..."
Qi Longbing fell silent, not saying a word for a long moment. Looking at Qi Haitian’s expression, it didn’t seem like he was lying.
"Old Master, there’s no time to lose! We need to go see her quickly!" Qin Feng urged anxiously from the side. Tʜe source of this ᴄontent ɪs 𝖓𝖔𝖛𝖊𝖑~𝖋𝖎𝖗𝖾~𝖓𝖊𝖙
"I’ll go with you," Qi Longbing said, his face also becoming grave.
