Chapter 135: Chapter 135

Hua Xiaomo took a deep breath to compose herself and asked with a smile, "President Qi, I will work hard until our contract is completed."

"Heh..." Qi Longbing suddenly chuckled. His handsome face was adorned with a bright, sunny smile, yet it gave Hua Xiaomo an unsettling feeling, a sense that something was out of the ordinary.

Qi Longbing sat comfortably in the Osaka chair, idly playing with the pen in his hand. His gaze shifted from her to the pen, a faint, wicked light gleaming in the corners of his eyes.

"I understand. Miss Hua is probably looking forward to this contract ending so she can immediately dive into the next one, right?" Qi Longbing laughed with a peculiar grace; such matters came easily to his mind.

Except, his contract was not something she could just walk away from!

Hearing this, Hua Xiaomo smiled again. "If President Qi prefers to see it that way, I have nothing more to say."

In one month, she could do whatever she wanted. What business was it of his? Ridiculous.

So, she didn’t mind whatever he said at that moment; she would just treat it as a joke—in one ear and out the other.

Qi Longbing’s eyes suddenly hardened. "Hua Xiaomo, don’t test my patience. Otherwise, you’re going to have a hard time."

Hua Xiaomo’s gaze fell. Beneath her faint smile, her beautiful face seemed faintly pale.

She had already humbled herself so much; why couldn’t things just go her way?

After a moment, Hua Xiaomo smiled again. "I’m sorry, I was wrong, President Qi. You’re a magnanimous man; could you forgive me just this once?"

"..." A smile touched Qi Longbing’s lips, but he didn’t speak. Looking at the pen in his hands, his voice was very calm. "Once someone is mine, they are always mine. I hope... you remember that well."

Hua Xiaomo also smiled, lowering her head compliantly.

「As night fell, twilight bathed the sky.」

A sleek black Ferrari sped down the road, heading in the exact opposite direction of the White House Villa.

"President Qi, are we eating out today?" Hua Xiaomo asked from the passenger seat.

"Yes," Qi Longbing replied with a single word. He didn’t elaborate, simply adjusting the chic sunglasses perched on the bridge of his nose.

Hua Xiaomo fell silent. Alright, it didn’t matter where they ate.

He had brought her to a private dining room on the second floor of "Paris Rainy Night."

A candlelit dinner accompanied by live piano music lent the setting an elegant refinement.

"You don’t need to save my money. The average cost per person here is twenty thousand, so eat whatever you want," Qi Longbing said indifferently, cutting a piece of steak and eating leisurely.

"Oh," Hua Xiaomo replied. Looking at the lavish dinner before her, there was indeed no need to be polite, especially since someone else was footing the bill, right?

They ate in silence, the meal passing quietly.

After a while, Hua Xiaomo said, "President Qi, take your time. I’m going to the restroom." She stood up and headed towards it.

But as she was exiting the women’s restroom, Hua Xiaomo heard strange noises coming from the men’s room.

Hm? Mingled with the noises were a man’s groans of pain.

Hua Xiaomo felt her face redden slightly at the sounds. However, an idea struck her, and gathering her courage, she approached the men’s room, stopping just at the door.

A quick glance inside made her eyes widen in shock.

This is probably what Zhou Xiyang was talking about...

"What are you looking at? Scram!"

Hua Xiaomo froze, stunned by the rebuke. Just as she was about to leave, a hand suddenly gripped her arm tightly.

Before Hua Xiaomo could speak, her voice was drowned out.

"So what if I looked? I’m gonna look all I want today!" Qi Longbing said with a chuckle. Then, smiling, he pulled Hua Xiaomo into the men’s room. He leaned against a dark blue-and-white porcelain wall, leisurely enjoying the two men’s awkward predicament.

The two men were extremely flustered. This update ıs available on 𝓷𝓸𝓿𝓮𝓵•𝓯𝓲𝓻𝓮•𝓷𝓮𝓽

"Brother Lan, let’s just get out of here, quick!" the man who had been pinned down said.

"Leave? It should be these two damn pests who leave!" the one called Brother Lan replied.

Upon hearing that, Qi Longbing sneered and took out his phone, snapping a picture of their embarrassing state.

"Damn it, they’re taking pictures!"

"He thinks *I’m* going to let him take pictures?"

Immediately, the two men hastily got dressed and advanced menacingly towards Qi Longbing and Hua Xiaomo.

"What do you think you’re doing?" Hua Xiaomo watched them warily.

"Doing? Hand over the phone! Do that, and *I’ll* spare you!" Brother Lan barked.

Qi Longbing looked at them both and, unfazed, smiled. "Hand over the phone? In your dreams!"

"Kid, you’re asking for death!" Brother Lan seethed, his face twisted into a ferocious snarl. He swung a punch at Qi Longbing.

Caught off guard by the swift attack, Qi Longbing was struck by the fist. Half of his cheek immediately swelled and turned red, and the corner of his mouth started to bleed.

But as the second punch flew, Hua Xiaomo’s leg shot out, kicking Brother Lan’s arm.

"ARGH!" A pig-like squeal echoed through the men’s room.

Brother Lan probably never dreamed that this short-haired woman would know martial arts. Enraged, he clutched his injured arm with one hand and pointed at Hua Xiaomo with the other, cursing, "Woman, you’ve provoked *me*! Get on your knees and apologize now, and *I* might consider sparing you!"

Just as Qi Longbing was about to speak, Hua Xiaomo stepped protectively in front of him. Looking at the arrogant Brother Lan, she scoffed, "You stinking pig, you’ve also provoked yours truly! If you don’t want another fist, then scram!"

"Bastard!" Brother Lan, infuriated, threw another fierce punch at her.

Hua Xiaomo quickly dodged, her voice cutting sharply through the air, "President Qi, run!"

Qi Longbing was stunned. Seeing her grappling with the attacker, he didn’t hesitate and quickly dashed out of the men’s room.

Brother Lan threw several more punches but couldn’t land a single one on Hua Xiaomo. He gnashed his teeth in rage and shouted, "Little lady, you’ve got some skill! *I* really misjudged you."

Suddenly, as Hua Xiaomo rapidly backed away, she bumped hard into someone behind her. Whirling around, she came face-to-face with a delicate-looking young man, about eighteen or nineteen, with hair falling over his eyes, giving him a very alluring appearance. His name was Dong Feiyu.

Dong Feiyu, a cigarette dangling from his lips, had been enjoying the fight from the sidelines. He hadn’t expected the woman to crash into him.

Hua Xiaomo saw clearly; this was the man who had previously been pinned down by Brother Lan.

Hua Xiaomo’s gaze paused on him.

WHOOSH! Just as the punch from behind was about to land, Hua Xiaomo reacted without a second thought. She pulled Dong Feiyu’s body down with her to the ground, then quickly sprang up. Like a gust of wind, she darted out the door.

She had to get out of here fast. She couldn’t stay another minute. She had to leave, now!
