So far so good everything have been going well for Chloe she haven't had any problems except that two girls among the people who were on duty did not like her but she didn't seem to care they were the least of her problem.
It was time for lunch and hotel was crowded with high and important business men and women who came for lunch as chloe went to collect an empty plate a customer used to eat the entrance door of the hotel was pushed open by the door-man and a young man of about twenty six or twenty seven walked in with four hefty men and Chloe assumed that they were his bodyguard.
Everywhere became quiet as all attention was focused on him. You will be living under the rock not to know the business tycoon Cort Mason . Cort Mason is the CEO of the biggest jewelry, clothes, perfume company. All his company were fashion company.
The young man screamed wealth from his crisp black suit to the shoes he was wearing which Chloe thinks it will take only a famous designer to make.
Chloe kept her eyes on him and watched as he was ushered to a private lounge in the VIPs section by the hotels maitre'd. Her eyes met his she gasped in surprise he wasn't looking at where he was going but at her.
Her heart stopped beating for a few seconds and resumed but this time it wasn't beating normal it was beating a little bit faster than it was before the guy came in. she didn't know why but she couldn't tear her gaze from his.
He looked like he was made for the run way with his blond hair and blue eyes, he was six feet tall and lean with straight broad shoulders that the suit did nothing to hide and he had long straight legs.
His blonde hair was neatly arranged on top of his head with a few locks falling on one side of his face he had blue eyes which she thought will twinkle if he smiled and full pink lips, God really took his time create some one like him. He had a feminine beauty that will put girls to shame.
His clothes hugged his body like a second skin and judging from the looks it will surely cost a fortune. He sat down with his eyes still on her then he did something that surprised her he smiled and yes his eyes did twinkle and he winked at her.
Chloe couldn't help the blush that crept up her face she lowered her face and bit her lips which was something she unconsciously did any time she was feeling shy which was quite often.
The sound of the entrance door of the hotel closing as the doorman closed it after a patron left snapped Chloe out of her thoughts and brought her back to her senses she quickly picked up she plates turned and headed in the direction of the kitchen but she couldn't help turning back to drink in his features one last time.
She saw the other waiters rush up to his table to get his order but it was Julianna one of the two girls who does not like her that was lucky enough to get to his table first she watched as Julianna grinned like an idiot and like someone doing an advert for toothpaste not like her teeth was even pure white Chloe thought mentally rolling her eyes.
Chloe snickered as Julianna adjusted her clothes to show off her invisible cleavage, Chloe have always thought that she was too slim but when she saw Julianna when she was being Introduced to the staffs she thought that Julianna wasn't even close to slim she was thin like someone that was on fasting.
Chloe was in for more surprise when he shook his head negatively when Julianna handed him a menu and pointed at her saying something to Julianna.
She tried reading his lips but it was moving too fast so she couldn't grab a word of what he was saying not that she was ever good at lips reading before and that got her frustrated.
What was he saying?
Why was he pointing at her?
Why did she feel like she didn't wanna hear what he was saying to Julianna? and she was very surprised at her thoughts because she was a very curious person.
She turned away quickly and entered into the kitchen but not before seeing Juliannas happy face turn into one of anger and jealousy.
Alex was about leaving the kitchen with the food a customer ordered when Chloe hurried in and they nearly bumped into each other but Chloe was quick to catch herself at the last minute.
" Where are you in such a hurry to? What happened? " Alex asked curiously
" Nothing" Chloe said quickly
" I heard that Cort Mason is here did you see him?" Alex asked anxiously
The name Cort Mason sounded really good familiar she must have heard it before but couldn't remember where she heard it from. So she decided to ask
"who is Cort Mason?"
" Don't tell me that you don't know him girl are you living in Pluto or Earth because who on Earth does not know Cort Mason?" Alex said looking at her like she was really from another planet.
" If I know will I still be asking you?" Chloe eyed Alex
"Okay I will tell you who he is, he is the one and only Cort Mason the CEO of Mason group of companies they deal in fashion, diamonds, you name them girl he is so damn rich and fine"
Now she knew where she have heard the name it was on TV and she have seen his face on the cover of different magazine he owns many clothes designing companies which was one of the best no wonder he was dressed like that.
Before Alex could say anything else Julianna walked Into the kitchen looking so angry that Chloe could see smoke coming out of her ears.
" Mr Mason wants you to serve him" Julianna told Chloe angrily
"Wait what? but why?" Chloe asked quickly. why would he want her to serve him so that was the origin of Julianna's anger?
" I thought you have already given him your menu why would he still want me to serve him?" Chloe asked again.
" I don't know ,why don't you ask him yourself" Julianna shouted angrily siliva coming out of her mouth and raining down on Chloe, Alex was lucky enough because she wasn't standing very close to her. Then Julianna marched out.
Alex dropped the tray of food she was carrying and burst into laughter. " God the bitch face was really hilarious" she said in between her laughter
Chloe ignored her she had important things to do like cleaning the siliva on her face and finding out why Mr Mason would want her to serve him so she did the simple one first she rushed to where she kept her bag brought out a tissue and cleaned up her face after cleaning her face she turned to Alex with a serious expression and asked
" Why would he want me to serve him is it a good thing?" She didn't want any problem and she was sure that she haven't done anything to offend him
" I don't know it has never happened before maybe he likes you " Alex said wriggling her brows mischievously and "if you keep standing here you won't find out so hurry up girl and just so you know he a good tipper so serve him well I wish it's me he asked for" Alex said looking at her jealousy because of the tip she was sure Chloe will get after serving him.
" I can certainly use a good tip" Chloe said
" Then hurry up and go am sure he doesn't bite" Alex said and picked up the tray to go give the food to the customer that ordered for it before she gets into trouble.
When she got to the door she stopped and turned to Chloe. " Maybe he likes so girl if o were you I would grab the opportunity after all it's not everyday you see a rich man that shows interest in you" then Alex hurried out
As soon as Alex left Chloe began to panic why would they want her to serve him what if she made a mistake and he got angry ? She wasn't use to serving important guests because Mr Bradford's restaurant was not a very big one so only the middle class ate there, sure , since her arrival here she have served important people but none of them was as important as he.
She snapped out of her thoughts because if she continues to delay he may report her to the manager and being that he was an important person she may get fired on her first day at work. Chloe took in a deep breath to calm her racing pulse and plastered on a professional smile then left the safety of the kitchen to answer the call from the king himself.
