Chapter 81: Chapter 81

Andrea pulled the door open and Sean stepped into the room, his tender gaze not leaving her delicate face. "Why aren't you sleeping yet?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

She looked up at him and suddenly hugged him tightly, as if he were about to run away. "I couldn't fall asleep. I was waiting for you. Where have you been?" she demanded, her face buried in his chest.

Sean sighed silently, knowing well he couldn't tell her the truth at the moment. "I met an old-time business partner in the hotel lobby, and he insisted I accompany him to his new club. That's all." In a gingerly manner, he stroked her hair.

Andrea broke the hug and wrapped her arms around his neck, beaming a sweet smile at him. "Mr. Wilson, from now on, you are not allowed to go to clubs. What if someone snatches you from me?" she said possessively.

He let out a chuckle. "I'm afraid, but no one can steal me from my darling wife. We forever belong to each other, and without her, I'm incomplete." He replied and kissed her gently yet passionately.

Andrea broke the kiss, and with her brows arched, she questioned, "Did you drink?"

"Just a little," he uttered, and he captured her lips again. His hands slowly moved down to her ass cheeks, and he gently massaged them. The kiss gradually intensified. "Do you want it?" he breathlessly whispered in her ear.

"Mhm. I want this night to be a wonderful one," she smiled and bit on his lower lip.

Sean lifted her up and carried her to the bed, where they both undressed. The only thing remaining was their passionate lovemaking in the air.

"DARLING, WAKE UP," Sean whispered as he slipped his hand under her nightie to gently caress her nipples with his thumb.

Andrea groaned loudly. "What do you want? Just let me sleep in peace before Pearl or Ruby wakes me up," she murmured, still half-asleep.

Sean smirked slyly and climbed out of bed, making his way towards the bathroom.

Andrea smiled and buried her face into the pillow, sensing the tension in the room dissipate. However, her moment of relaxation was abruptly interrupted as cold water was splashed on her face. She quickly sat up, gasping for air.

She wiped her face and blinked rapidly until her vision became clearer, only to find Sean's annoying face staring back at her.

"How could you?" she stuttered, exasperated.

"It's already dawn. I want you to go freshen up, have breakfast, and then we'll fly back to New York today," Sean said nonchalantly.

"What?! Today? Why?" she questioned, her brows furrowing in displeasure.

Sean could tell she was against his decision, even though he knew it was for her own good. For the first time ever, he had refused her desires.

"Yes, you heard me right. I have a lot of work to do at the company, and Sonny has proven to be completely useless. I can no longer rely on him," Sean explained.

Andrea sneered. "It's always work first for you, before anyone or anything else. Sometimes I wonder if I truly matter to you," she muttered as she stomped into the bathroom.

The sound of her footsteps vanished, and Sean stopped sorting out the documents in his hand. He plopped down on the sofa with his head lowered to the carpet. "You matter to me the most," he whispered.

Mrs. Williams' words still linger in his mind, and he finds them unbelievable. It was a shocking revelation to him last night.

At this moment, he's starting to see the reason why Mrs. Williams said what she did. It's for the best if Andrea stays away from her and tries to forget about her existence. Coming closer to Mrs. Williams will only bring her unimaginable pain.

Jacob picked up his phone to answer Tyler's call.

"How did it go?" Tyler asked immediately.

"The old bitch said she has no idea. I'm so glad karma has finally caught up with her," Jacob replied bitterly.

Tyler's concern showed in the deep line that appeared between his brows. "Jacob, what did you do to her?" he asked cautiously.

"Nothing, okay? She's currently sick and might die anytime from now. What more damage can I cause to her miserable life?" Jacob replied defensively.

Tyler let out a sigh of relief. "Thank goodness you didn't do anything crazy. I hate to say this, but I think it's high time you give up. This will not take you anywhere," he advised.

"You know what? I don't need your fucking advice or opinion. In the first place, I never asked for your help anyway," Jacob snapped before hanging up.

......

"Why isn't she here yet?" Sean glanced at his watch impatiently.

"Relax, she will be here soon. I already texted her earlier. Too bad she won't be coming with us today," Andrea pouted with her chin resting on her palm.

"Don't worry, you have me, remember?" He held her hand and gave her a reassuring smile.

"Be quiet. It's all your fault that we are leaving earlier than planned." She looked away from him furiously.

"Mama!" Pearl babbled the word for the first time ever, and Andrea's eyes immediately turned teary.

"Sean, did you hear that? Pearl called out to me!" She said happily and kissed her all over her face.

"No, I didn't hear that. Ruby say da-da again. You called me that the other night, right? Do it again," he coaxed her gently.

Andrea burst out laughing hearing this. "Oh, so you were only feeling jealous. I hope you get better soon." She stuck out her tongue cutely.

Just then, the sound of approaching footsteps and the clattering of a suitcase hitting the ground caught their attention. They raised their heads in unison to see Elena walking towards them with puffy eyes, her right hand clutching a suitcase.

Andrea stood up with a puzzled look on her face. "What happened to you, Lena? Where's Ryan?"

"It's over between us, this time for good," Elena choked out through her sobs.

"Why? What is going on?" asked Andrea, her concern growing.

"I... I just found out Ryan is gay," Elena exclaimed, muffling her mouth with her hand, her sobs getting louder.
