“ Yes I know” She said. “ what happened?” He asked her. “ I’ll tell you but promise you’ll never yell at Mummy again” She said and he promised. “ Mummy Bake cakes for him when his wife did her birthday” Mara said and he raised a brow. His Uncle didn’t have a wife, his wife died years ago.
“ His wife?” He asked and Mara nodded her head. “ Yes that was what he said but she was so Young. He didn’t pay my Mummy all the money and he threatened her back then” Mara said. Alfred’s jaw dropped, he didn’t know all that happened between Vanessa and his Uncle. Alfred sighed, he looked at Mara and smiled. “ Don’t Worry, I’ll take care of everything” He said and Mara nodded her head. “ No smile for Daddy” She smiled and hugged him.
8:30pm After Mara has fallen asleep, Alfred went to Vanessa’s room. He found her on the bed crying, She was Shocked to have seen him inside her room and she quickly cleaned her face.
“ What do you want?” She asked Sitting upright. “ I…I’m” He sighed and leaned on the wall. “ I’m sorry about what my Uncle did to you, Mara told me all that happened between you two” Vanessa rolled her eyes and lay down. “ I’m also sorry about what Kiara did and truth be told, She’s not my girlfriend , I don’t love her again and I warned her not to come here and disturb you again” He said but she ignored him. Alfred didn’t know what else to do, an idea came to his head and he smiled.
“ I was surprised when Mara told me you baked cakes for my uncle’s wife, his wife died years ago” Alfred said and Vanessa raised up her head “ Really?” She asked and he nodded his head. She sat upright quickly and Chuckled “ I knew it, that man can’t be trusted. S that was his girlfriend, she was too young to be his wife. Wonderful! I’ll make sure I take back my money from him” She bit her lips and Alfred smiled. “ Just forget about him, I’ll pay you back” he said. “ Are you sure? And don’t forget my compensation for Cooking for you yesterday” She said and he smiled. “ Alright” He heaved a sigh of relief looking at Vanessa who was Smiling in a mischievous way.
“ Where did you went early in the morning?” She asked him. “ My Grandma was hospitalized, so I went to the hospital” He said. “ Oh sorry, and how is she?” She asked so concerned. “ she’s Fine, her maid said she collapsed when she was cooking” Alfred said and Vanessa burst in to Laughter. “ Your Grandma is so funny, why would she want to cook? Anyways, I heard your Grandma is so stubborn” She covered her mouth quickly and Alfred smiled. “ You are right, Grandma is stubborn but lovely” He moved closer to the bed “ So now, you love me right?” He asked. Vanessa Chuckled, she pushed him away and stood up from the bed.
“ Get out of my room, I want to sleep” She entered the bathroom and locked the door. Alfred smiled and left the room. As he went out of Vanessa’s room, his phone started ringing. “ Who’s that again?” He brought out the phone and Chuckled. “ What does she want?” He said answering the call. “ Alfred, why would you lie to me?” Mandy said over the phone. She sounded like someone who was crying “ What did I do?” Alfred asked and Mandy burst in to fresh tears. “ You lied to me that you weren’t in the state and you went to the hotel because you knew I was trailing you. You cheated on me!” She screamed on the phone.
“ I cheated on you? How?” He asked Surprisingly. “ There’s a lady in your house, the girl you want to marry. I swear, I would never allow that to happen if I’m still breathing” Mandy cried. “ What do you mean?” He asked her because he Knew what she was capable of doing. “ I’ll make her vanish from your life!” She threatened and ended the call. Alfred Stared at his phone screen confusingly. “ How did she found out? Who told her?” He pondered on it going to his room. He paused at the entrance of his room when his Uncles came to his head. “ Oh no! He told her. I just hope he hadn’t say anything to Grandma” He Opened the door and Entered his room.
“ What should I do now, if Grandma got to find out , Mara and Vanessa might be in trouble” He hit his head with his palm and sighed. “ Oh My God, this is the time I need my parents” He paced around the room frustratingly.
As early as 7:00 the next morning, a loud knock came from the sitting room Making everyone who was in the house scared. Bella and Mary ran out of their quarters but none of them were courageous enough to go open the door. The Knock continued and was getting so loud, Alfred came down to the sitting room and was surprised to see Bella and Mary debating on who should open the door.
“ What are you two doing?” He asked looking at them. Vanessa also came down , she had just woke up from the sleep because of the sound, She Yawned looking at Bella and Mary. “ What’s happening here?” She asked but no one answered her. Alfred went closer to the door, he unlocked it and Mandy made her way inside the house in Anger. She was wearing her pajamas indicating she went there when she woke up. They all stared at her as she scanned the sitting room with her eyes. “ What are you doing here?” Alfred finally broke the silence. Mandy ignored him and she turned to Bella and Mary. “ Where is she?” She asked them.
