So, as the title suggests, going to pause the writing for the rest of the month starting next week (I will finish off this week's worth of chapters first). The will be paused for a month, effective today. Writing will be paused for the rest of October (the next two weeks) with the intention to resume in November, but I will play it by ear for the first week or so.

Now, if you’d like to know the reasoning…well, fatigue mainly. I was apparently overambitious with trying to maintain business as usual with both writing and editing during a month with two weddings. We’re in the week between, the week I’m supposed to be most productive if I’m going to hit my goals…and instead I’m falling behind. So, when I consider that next week is another wedding I have to travel for, which will mean I’ll likely be even more fatigued the week after that as well…it honestly just doesn’t seem doable.

So…I’m going to acknowledge my limit here. My plan now is to finish off this week’s chapters, then pause the writing, attend the next wedding, rest as much as necessary, and use what productive time there will be over the next two weeks to catch up and hopefully get a leg up on the editing work. Then, hopefully, I’ll not only be rested but also in a good spot regarding the next manuscript for publishing come November, such that I can refocus on the writing with less pressure. Well, that’s the plan, anyways. We all know how well planning usually goes for me…

So yeah, sorry about the extended break. And sorry for the short notice, hoped I would be able to pull it off but wouldn’t be the first time I underestimated my fatigue this year. Hope you’ll all survive the egregious lack of bees…
