Chapter 41: Chapter 41

Unknown's POV

As soon as I leave the pack house, I proceed to the cell while tightly holding the already-stolen keys .

I covered every area of my body that was exposed by pulling over my mask, gloves, and hood .

I am certain that they would be preparing for tonight's full moon .

giving me a 100% chance that the cell will be unguarded or that the small rank guard will be the only one on duty at this time .

I walked a short distance into the cell, opened the door, and began to spray the sleeping scent I had been using ever since .

Using my nasal mask, I enter the cell a little further . to where I'm going .

Only lycans who still have a pack are intended for this sleeping perfume .

However, this sleeping scent has no effect on rogues or other creatures .

When I reached Athena's cell phone, I dialed " hey . "

" When the full moon feast begins, they will ask you to provide their judgment . "

" And they may either band you or give you a cleaner job in the pack . Don't, however, argue against whatever ruling they make . " I warned her by saying that .

" You said it wouldn't go down like this, I thought . Where am I now, though ? " She lashed out at me .

" You're still the cocky bitch, even now you're behind bars," the guard said .

" It's not your fault; if it were, my plan would have succeeded right away .

I won't have requested your assistance . "

I sputtered, wanting to smack her .

She simply snarled while glancing down at her already unkempt nails .

You were the one who made poor card plays .

I made a poker face as I spoke .

" What if I had ? Despite your assurances, what did you do to Ashley ? " She questioned angrily .

" You actually fired four death arrows, not just one . He might not be alive today if not for that girl ! " She yelled indignantly .

Simply if she is aware that I only intend to use her to murder the foolish Ashley and his mate .

Why ? Because he always wants the same things that I do .

Because he is the Alpha son, he will undoubtedly receive it before I do .

He will always get his way with the girls, even if I was in love with several of them .

Then he will throw them away as if they were nothing .

Even Athena, with whom I had once been in love, is lustful for the position of Luna . She treated me like I was nothing .

I'm going to use his mate, I mused, grinning at how lovely it would be .

" I'm speaking with you ! " My thought was interrupted by her yell .

" I'm trying to help you, but you're letting garbage out of your lips ! " I snarl at her indignantly .

" You killing Ashley wasn't in the plan, " the man said . She spoke quietly, but her snarky attitude persisted .

" You stay in your lane, so I'll stay in mine ! " She responded to my eye-rolling by doing the same to me .

This Ashley you're fighting over has a wolf and a mate of his own, and he wouldn't even look at you again .

I said in an irritated tone .

" And you ! "

I asked the rogues I had paid well to assassinate Ashley to come, but they never came .

Ye, yes, yes, sir . He answers nervously, shuddering .

You are aware that your only right at this time is death . I said with a menacing expression .

I apologize, sir . I had no idea the child could smell and hear that quickly .

True, I had no idea she had super-human sight, hearing, and scent detection abilities .

I should not have undervalued her, I grumbled .

I was furious and wondered what more she might be holding onto .

God alone knows, but I'm sure going to find out, I reasoned as a grin started to appear on my face .

" I have no idea what they'll do to you . You are a rogue, and it is against the law to let one get too close to their pack .

But you were discovered on their property close to the pack house, and I'm not sure how that will affect your Faith

However, if you manage to survive . If so, you ought to follow Athena . Athena got a piece of paper from me, I said .

A house where they can dwell is located there, along with some instructions I've prepared .

Remember all I told you and gave you before I have to leave . I said as I fixed my gaze on both of them .

And don't do anything else or cause trouble . Before the guard could begin to wake up, I said and quickly turned around .

That should do it for today . Watch out, Ashley , I'm coming for you . Before vanishing into the little air, I whispered .
