Chapter 21: Chapter 21
IVY:
Ivy went to meet Meredith and after a while, Blake left with Ian, so they would prepare for the hunt. Somehow, Ivy was not really about leading the hunt stuff. She wasn't a wolf yet; how was she going to pull that off?
"You are so lucky you got chosen to lead the hunt." Meredith squealed.
"You seem more excited than I am," Ivy said.
"My dear, you don't know the half of it. I expected to jump at the news, but you looked like someone who wasn't willing," Meredith said.
Of course, she wasn't willing to do it. She doesn't like being placed in the spotlight. Now, all eyes would be on her. She wished she could scream to Meredith and tell her that she wasn't interested, but she couldn't do that.
"It's not like that, though. I was surprised, and also, I wasn't prepared." Ivy defended.
"Are you nervous?" Meredith asked.
"No, not at all." She answered.
"Then, you have nothing to worry about." Meredith smiled at her and she smiled back.
Word came that it was almost time for the hunt, and that they should all get ready. Ivy sighed heavily.
"Aren't you going to change?" Meredith asked, and Ivy looked down at what she was putting on. She was wearing a long black pencil skirt, which stopped a bit below her knees, and a pink T-shirt with Barbie drawings on it.
"They are hunt-friendly." She teased with a playful smirk, and Meredith laughed.
"No, they are not. Follow me, you need a makeover," Meredith said, and took the lead while Ivy followed.
They got home and Meredith made Ivy wear thick brown pants, a striped long sleeve which was neither too big nor too small and brown boots, giving her the cowboy feel.
"The only thing missing is a gun," Meredith said jokingly.
"The only thing missing is a hat, because I look like a cowboy," Ivy said.
"Come on, it fits you perfectly." Meredith pouted.
"I get you. Can we go now?" Ivy asked.
"Of course." Meredith smiled.
They already organized those that were to go hunting and awaiting the Alpha's order. Ivy came to meet them, and they all waited for Blake to show up, which he eventually did.
"Are you ready?" He asked.
"Yes!" they chorused.
He waved his hands as they marched into the woods. When they got in, he raised his hand and they halted. Ivy did not understand what he was up to. Were they not supposed to keep moving forward? She saw Blake scrunch up his nose and sniffed something.
"Let the hunting begin!" He yelled, and Ivy took over. She was to lead the hunt, and that was what she was going to do. When the hunt started, she used her strength and all that Ava had taught her. She hunted well, leaving the wolves who were doubting her before in shock.
It was time for them to shift, but Ivy stepped back. "I can't shift yet because I haven't learned. You guys can continue without me," she said.
They all turned to the Alpha. "Continue with the hunt, I will be here with poison Ivy," He said.
They nodded and shifted, running at a fast pace.
"Let me take you somewhere," He said.
"Where?" she asked.
"You'll see when we get there." He answered.
He stretched out his hand for her to take. She was reluctant at first, but after a while, she dropped her hands in his while he led her deep into the woods.
They got to a very calm place which looked like a bed of roses. By the side was a pool, and it surprised Ivy that the water was neat. She had always thought of the woods as a dirty place, clueless that it had such an amazing place. She looked around and smiled at the different species of flowers which decorated the place.
"Wow! This place looks beautiful." She couldn't contain her joy.
"This is my favorite spot in the woods," He said as he sat down on the rose filled ground. He patted the side, inviting her to sit. She sat beside him and he intertwined their fingers together. "I come here whenever I'm in the woods and need to clear my head. It's quiet, relaxing and calm," He said.
"Yeah. It looks like a flower garden," Ivy said.
"I know, right?" He smiled and looked up. "The sky sure is pretty today,"
Ivy looked up, too. "Yes, you're right. The sky is pretty."
"But, you're prettier." He complimented, and Ivy found herself smiling.
"Thank you," she said.
Blake leaned closer and touched her face. He used his hand to pull a strand of her hair behind her ears. The way his hands grazed her skin built up an unexplainable desire inside of her.
"I love your outfit today. It made you look adventurous," He said, and she smiled cutely. He leaned closer to her, but she didn't move back. Instead, she leaned closer and allowed him to kiss her.
She closed her eyes and enjoyed the feeling. He let go of her arm and brought his other hand to cup her face, caressing her cheek.
They kissed, slowly, softly, and it felt perfect. His lips were moist and soft, his touch firm and gentle. It made Ivy want to lean back even more.
As if they weren't enough for one another, he pulled away just slightly and rested his forehead against hers. "You are so beautiful."
She didn't respond; she couldn't think clearly. His words echoed in her mind and made her feel all tingly.
He leaned forward again, and she met his lips with hers. Their lips moved smoothly, exploring each other, taking their time to learn their own rhythm. They stayed like this, kissing for a while, until he broke apart once more.
His eyes shone with passion, lust, and happiness. His hands went to her back, and he caressed it gently before leading her to lie down as they made love under the moonlight.

After their hot make-out session, they held hands as they talked about themselves.
"How do you like being an Alpha?" Ivy asked.
"It hasn't been smooth sailing, but I'm okay with it. There is no life without ups and downs, right?" He asked, and she chuckled.
"You're right." She smiled.
"What about your parents?" Blake asked, and Ivy's mood changed immediately. "What is wrong?" Blake asked, but she didn't answer. Instead, she stood up and ran off, leaving Blake confused.
They finally found the Omega, and they took him back to the pack for questioning. Ivy stole a glance at Blake and saw that he was actually relieved that I found the Omega. She stood by the sidelines and watched how the Omega was being interrogated. She was somehow glad he was not treated harshly.
"Are you okay?" Blake asked the Omega, who couldn't look him in the eyes.
"Yes, Alpha. I am fine." He answered.
"What is your name?" Blake asked.
"Kaden." He answered and Blake nodded.
"Now, Kaden, it came to my notice that you bit a vampire," Blake said and Kaden gasped.
"Me?" He asked and Ivy furrowed her eyebrows. Why was he pretending not to know what he had done?
"Yes, you. I want you to tell me why you would do such a thing. Did you and the said vampire get into a fight or what?" Blake asked.
"I'm sorry, but I don't seem to understand what you are saying," Kaden answered.
They all glanced at themselves in surprise. Ivy was also surprised. Did they in any way hunt down the wrong Omega? But she was sure they followed his scent.
"Admit that you bit a vampire, Kaden. We won't hurt you, okay?" Ian cooed but Kaden became more confused.
"I didn't bite a vampire. I haven't even met a vampire," He said.
"Try to think. What we are talking about happened today," Blake said.
"I don't remember anything. As much as I try to think really hard, I don't remember," Kaden said.
"We didn't follow the wrong scent, did we?" Neil asked.
"Of course, we didn't! He is the one, I'm sure of it." Ian snapped.
"I didn't do anything, I swear. I don't remember biting any vampire." Kaden defended himself.
Ivy felt for the Omega and sensed he was saying the truth. If he didn't do it then who did? What about the scent? Or was he controlled?
All these questions ran through her head as she watched everything. After a while, she saw Blake dismissing the hunting party while the Omega was taken away, maybe to be protected so the furious vampire Lord wouldn't lay his hands on him.
"Ian, Neil, you are in charge of this issue. It seems the Omega was controlled. Investigate and get back to me immediately I return." Blake ordered and Ivy wondered where he was off to.
"You can count on us," Neil said.
Ian just nodded before they left.
Ivy sighed and hoped things wouldn't take a turn for the worse, but it was like she spoke too soon, because the vampire died.
