Chapter 90: Chapter 90

Meanwhile, Brian stopped visiting Ariana for a while. His father had forced him to take harsh treatment these days. After the marriage ended, Brian was going to take the position of Alpha in this pack. His elder brother had never been interested in becoming an Alpha. All he did was travel around the world. But Brian was quite the opposite of that. He dreamt of ruling a pack of his own. He was thankful to Ariana that she didn't stop him from the wedding or else he didn't know what to do with himself.

Blowing his cheeks out, Brian stretched his arms out, pointing at the target to fix his gun. Their pack had recently gotten permission to use guns in their valley. Ever since, these packages of guns had arrived in their pack house, he spent all his time learning these.

Bang! Bang!

The loud gunshot echoed, scaring the little birds hiding nearby. When Brian noticed that his target had been missed, his expression turned pale. Grabbing the bullets in his hand impatiently, he loaded the bullet one after another. There was no doubt that Brian was strong as an Alpha. But in comparison to his other siblings, Brian was impatient to learn everything quickly.

" There,my proud son!", Mr.Rogers squealed happily, appearing from behind with Brian's fiance and his father. They all seemed happy together. With this fixed marriage, their packs were going to be stronger than before. The girl named Silvia immediately flustered as soon as her eyes fell on Brian's bicep.

Mr.Rogers feigned the joke innocently, praising his son indirectly in front of Silvia's father,

" There, my son is always in fights. When are you going to pay attention to your fiance? Huh! Leave it, Brian! Spend some time with Silvia. "

Brian didn't bother to turn back. He kept shooting guns, pretending to be focused on his practice. Mr.Rogers gave them space on purpose, leaving Silvia to spend some quality time with Brian alone. After the two fathers left, Silvia made her move. She had a crush on Brian from childhood. They met on events only and it was impossible to get his attention.

Silvia tugged her hair behind, smiling from ear to ear,

" Brian, would you like to go to a party tonight?"

Brian dropped the gun aside, turned back to see that Silvia was alone there. Sighing frustratingly, he replied looking away from her,

" I have works, Silvia. You go!"

Silvia pouted unhappily and was disappointed. Although, their marriage was finalized now, she had a feeling that Brian wasn't happy about it. But she wasn't willing to give up. After years of waiting, she finally got her crush.

Jumping forward, she grabbed onto Brian's arms, clinging intentionally to pursue him,

" Brian, we are fiance now. Please.. Please...Just once..My friends would like to meet you..Brian.."

Silvia kept shaking his arms, pleading in a cajoling voice. Brian let out a frustrated sigh, wishing that this marriage was over as soon as possible. Knowing that if he refused to go, Silvia would surely go to his father's to complain. Reluctantly, he promised in a cold voice,

" Just this once, Silvia! Then we are coming back."

A big grin formed on Silvia's lips. She couldn't hide her happiness and suddenly did something repulsive. Sticking her tongue out, Silvia pecked on Brian's lips suddenly. Brian was completely off-guard. Before he could push her away, Silvia ran away, giggling shyly.

At the same time in Trevisan's pack house, Ariana closed the door shut with a loud bang. Tears poured down from her eyes, holding her chest in the other hand. Her heart began to howl in pain for a few seconds. She knew the meaning behind it. Brian was being intimate with another woman. Her wolf was feeling the betrayal through their mate bond. They didn't married yet. How could Brian do this to her? Did he lie about his marriage then?

As the thoughts ran through her mind, more tears spewd over from Ariana's eyes. She sobbed harder, holding her stomach.

Did she do any mistake by trusting her mate?

Viona arrived the border of vampires territory, spotting Alaric few steps away. Staring at his face, she was a little sadistic to see the changes. The gleam of smiling face had gone long lost, replaced with a pain of losing his beloved.

Alaric forced a smile on his face, waving at Viona who scooted down from the car. Viona walked over to Alaric hesitantly, returned a small smile. At the same time, a wave of air brushed past off them, pushing her scarf away slightly to see the mark that she was carrying. Alaric's eyes followed her neck. A deep pain shot through his heart when he spotted the mark of an Alpha. Damien had claimed her officially. It was his bad luck that Viona didn't want any connection with him.

Composing himself quickly, Alaric spoke to Viona in a calm voice,

" Our priest said that we can break the bond in the presence of our God. So, you have to enter in our temple."

Viona didn't like the idea since it was too risky to enter as a Luna into vampire territory. She pursued her lips after a long silence,

" Is there no way, Alaric? You know, I don't feel safe among vampires."

Alaric assured, stressing his words out,

" No one knows that we will be coming. Besides, no one will dare to harm you in my presence, Viona. I will let you out.. safely..If I had the intention to hurt you, I could have done it long back."

Viona dropped her eyes a little guiltily. He was also her mate but she wanted to be loyal solely to Damien. Nodding her head after a long silence, she agreed with his decision,

" All right! Let's make it faster then!"

Minutes afterwards, they both arrived at the destination temple under Vampire Territory. Alaric scanned the surroundings, making sure that no Royal guards or his family members were nearby. He didn't want his family to confront Viona under his surveillance.

The temple was built up in an old place, away from the living zone of vampires. Hence, it was easy to escape the attention. They both entered together and Viona felt her wolf, turning inactive inside. She panicked momentarily, asking Alaric in a low voice,

" Something is wrong with my wolf, Alaric."

Alaric assured her softly, keeping her closer to avoid any unexpected danger,

" It will be all right when you go out, Viona. This temple is a holy place for vampires. No wolves can use their powers here. So, you will have to bear it for a while. "

Viona nodded with understanding but deep down, she was a little scared. Damien didn't know that she was coming here. So, she had to rush as much as possible.

" Priest!", Alaric summoned the priest, standing in front of the statue of their believed God. The old priest came out of the darkness, smirking after staring at Viona.

" Such a powerful soul! Why don't you want our prince, child?", the priest spoke, shifting his eyes between Viona and Alaric.

Viona pressed her lips tightly, unsure about what to say but Alaric saved her an embarrassing moment,

" Priest, she has to go. Turn it faster! "

The Priest nodded humming and brought a water bowl in his hand. Standing between them, he instructed Alaric slowly,

" Stay a few feet away from her, my Prince."

Alaric thought that it was part of a ritual. So, he complied without arguing and stepped away from Viona and the priest. As they waited for the ritual to start, the priest started chanting something in a different language. At the near end of his spelling, he spilled water on Viona.

Viona cried out as if her body was caught on fire. The water felt so painful in her skin that she howled in pain, failed to stand on feet.

" Aahhh!", her cry echoed out, startling Alaric who was on the side. Immediately, her skin began to emit white smoke, her wolf getting weaker than before. Alaric couldn't control his harsh tone, stormed forward to crunch beside Viona who was groaning in pain. When he saw the skin burnt, he whipped his head back to bark at the priest,

" What have you done to her? If anything happens to her, I will kill you single-handedly."

The priest was a little scared after seeing the prince's eyes turning red in anger. He just did what was instructed. Stumbling a few steps back, he mumbled fearfully,

" I...I don't know..my prince.. it's actually.."

At that time, a voice broke through the silence, stunning everyone again,

" I told him to do this.."
