Chapter 88: Chapter 88
The burning passion joined with slow moans had all turned into fire now. Damien's wolf purred more likely in delight though that Viona was welcoming him to mark her as his. Pleasant wave of spring dance coursed through his veins. With another animalistic growl from his lips, his cannies shot out. Viona tilted her head on the other side, giving her love a better access to mark her forever as his.
With their adjoined pleasure down between legs, Damien dug his long protruding cannies into her neck, leaving the eternal mark to carry as their symbol of love. In a matter of seconds, Viona felt all these new emotions from Damien as if they had become two bodies one soul. Through the mate bond, she could feel his burning passion.
As soon as the mark was done, Damien's movements turned vigorous, soon reaching the climax. Viona was a few minutes away from catching him. Before she could find her own release, her cannies also popped out of her mouth.Arching her head up slightly, she dug them into Damien's neck, earning groan and moan from his mouth. Her release soon coated his manhood, staying sensitive as Damien pulled himself out of her wetness. Both of them laid next to each other with a pleasant smile. They were still panting, catching to breathe. Finally, they were together, stronger than before and no enemy could tear them apart.
At the same time, several miles away, Alaric was going through some tragic pain. His heart wrenched inside his chest, pains shooting through his body hard. Tears pricked from the corner of his eyes, knowing very well why he was having this unexpected pain suddenly. Viona had tied her mate bond with Damien. At the same time, she refused to accept their bond which was equal to rejection. If only Alaric accepted the rejection, they would be over officially.
Rosemund had appeared to give her brother the news but she was chased away even before she could say anything,
" Get out from here, Rose! I don't want to talk now!"
Angered by her brother's behavior, Rose stomped on her feet, turned around vigorously to go and complain to their mother. After she disappeared, tears spewed over from Alaric's eyes. He kept murmuring in a broken voice,
" Why can't it be, Viona? Why can't you accept me like him? Am I that bad in your eyes?"
__________
" I reject him as my mate!", Ashley's piercing voice echoed inside the pack house. Frustrated, she paced back and forth, holding her hips impatiently. Vincent was standing steps away from her. Shirtless and bandaged body, he appeared calm and nonchalant about her tantrums. The day when he saw her first, he barely had the feeling that she was actually his mate. Until today, their touch confirmed everything and his mate loathed her more than he could imagine. Because, he was the Alpha of those rogues.
Damien and Viona were still silent, unsure about how to resolve the situation since they both came from the same situation. Emotions couldn't be forced and Viona knew it very well. Damien muttered softly, putting everything to convince Ashley,
" But Ashley..this is fated.. Vincent is a nice man besides an Alpha..I believe that you should give him a chance..."
Ashley sneered, shooting Vincent a glare,
" Yes, an Alpha..An alpha of those rogues.. I don't want him, Brother Damien.."
She spoke in a begging tone, squeezed his hands tightly. Vincent noticed the act of her hand and was immediately angered. He stormed next to her to shout,
" Who do you want then except me? Tell me, who is the fucker?"
Ashley nearly jumped on her feet in fear. After all, Vincent was an Alpha. His dominance scared the hell out of her wits. Damien saw through Ashley's fear, growled at Vincent furiously who was about to lose control,
" Step away, Vincent! You are scaring her, Goddess!"
After Damien growled, Vincent had to step away in order to show his respect for the Alpha who offered them shelter. Viona suggested, shifting her eyes between them,
" Alpha Vincent, I truly think that you should give her more time to cope up with everything. Ashley has lost her mother very recently. Let her stay a few more days here and figure out what she should do."
Vincent let out a frustrated growl, pushing his curls on the other side,
" It's not possible, Luna. You know, our mate bond drives us crazy."
Ashley again repeated her decision, not caring how her mate felt at that moment,
" I don't want to go, Luna! Fuck! I am not living with rogues."
" You...", Vincent pointed his finger at Ashley. When he saw her crunching away in fear, he cursed himself before getting away. Viona explained in a reasonable voice, looking between the new couple,
" I can understand everything but Ashley needs time. You have to respect her boundaries."
Vincent had a complicated face as soon he agreed as Ashley had just lost her mother. After a heavy exhale, he gritted his words out,
" Fine but for 2 weeks. If she isn't going to change her mind, I am going to claim her either willingly or forcefully."
After giving his final words, Vincent didn't stay any longer and left in a hurry as it was getting on his nerves to act so far around his mate. Tears of frustration poured from Ashley's eyes. Viona sighed softly, went over to pat on her back. No matter how bad their relationship was, Viona believed that Vincent treated Viona like his family. So, he wanted her to be happy.
Viona tried her best to convince Ashley,
" Ashley, I didn't like Damien at the beginning just like you but things change when you start living together. I really think that you should give him a chance. It is always okay to try. If you still don't want to live with him, you can always come back to us. Remember, this pack will always be your home."
Ashley was moved to tears. She said such horrible things to Viona before yet she cared for her after everything. Ashley was too ashamed to look into Viona's eyes and choked on her saliva before muttering,
" I..I understand . Luna.. it's just..I despise Rogues.."
____________
2 days later, Alaric made an unexpected visit to the vampire Temple. He thought and thought for days and nights, even praying silently for Viona's return but it never happened. She kept her promise, stayed faithful Damien and their mate bond only. Regardless of his consistent heart breaking, Alaric knew that he couldn't force her to love him.
" Your Highness!", the priest from vampire Temple bowed shortly at the crown prince. Alaric looked devastated, pale in expression as if he was dead inside.
After a long silence, Alaric pursued his lips in a cracking voice,
" Priest, may I know how I can break a mate bond?"
The priest was startled to hear Alaric. Composing himself quickly, he spoke in a serious voice,
" My prince, it's not recommended to break a bond especially since you are a Royalty. In vampires, it's rare to have a second chance mate. What if you don't get a second chance mate then the clan will have no heir, my prince. But if you really want this badly, your mate has to come to our temple too to take the vows in front of our Vampire God."
Alaric's face turned grim as Viona made it clear that they shouldn't see each other. How could he tell her to come here in their territory? Besides, it was already painful for him.
Alaric asked again in a frustrated voice,
" Is there no other way without my mate? Must she come here?"
The priest nodded thoughtfully, his voice once again coming out serious,
" I am afraid that No, my prince. This bond can be broken only through physical presence."
Alaric sighed heavily and departed after thanking the priest. Once his back disappeared, the queen mother came out from her hiding place. She praised the priest with a wicked smile,
" You did well! I needed this badly."
The priest smiled gratefully to the queen,
" It's my honor to assist you. Now, the hybrid girl will be trapped as soon as she enters our temple."
The queen nodded satisfyingly and went to the other side to grin big,
" Pretty well! We should arrange something big to welcome her."
