Chapter 79: Chapter 79

Members cried all over the Trevisan Mansion, panicking and praying for their lives. In a splash of moment, everything turned chaotic with the death of Ashley's mother a.k.a Damien's aunt. The dead body was found inside Viona's room. Obviously, all the arrows of accusations were on her. The important figures of Trevisan Mansion were missing from the house until the news reached their ears.

The front of the door of the pack house had been pushed open with a loud bang, silencing the crying members momentarily before turning into whisper again. Damien had his hand, locked around the doorknob. His muscles were all sweating as they made a quick run over the pack house. Damien was gone with his members to place secret patrol guards around the border when the news broke into them.

Damien lost his one last family that he had!

His heart was howling in pain but he put a tough feature on his face. As an Alpha, he couldn't show them how badly he was hurting inside. His eyes followed Ashley over the couch, sobbing and uttering a series of incoherent words. The body had been taken away already. The children were already in fear after knowing that there had been a murder in the house. Now, they were even afraid of going inside the room.

Damien marched forward, Inquiring Ariana who was holding Viona,

" What happened exactly?"

Viona was still in daze. With the sight of Aunt's beheaded face, her flashback memories of her mate made her bewildering. Ariana sighed after stealing a glance of Viona on the stairs. She decided to speak to Damien first,

" Alpha, we are clueless honestly. The body was found inside your bedroom when Viona was asleep. Regardless of that, we don't know anything. We didn't even hear any scream or other noises. I suspect that someone must have barged into our pack house when we were sleeping inside the room."

Damien clenched his fists tight, growling furiously,

" How could it be? There are CCTV footages everywhere. How can someone just come and go out of my pack house?"

" She did it!", a low, trembling voice stunned everyone, looking over at Ashely who lifted herself from the couch. Her pointy finger was reffering to Viona who didn't come out of daze yet.

Ariana raised her tone, protesting on behalf of her Luna,

" Ashley, stop it! Luna can't never hurt a member of her own pack let alone murdering brutally."

Ashely wiped off her stubborn tears swiftly. Her voice cracked as she spoke to Damien,

" My mother was found inside her room. This definitely has to do something with him. Everyone is against you because of her, Damien. Can't you see that she is bringing destruction in our pack?"

The last portion of her words rang out yelling as she brust into tears. Ashley's father had died long back. To her, her mother was the only hope in her life. Besides, she didn't find her fated mate yet.

Who would be on her side?

Damien softened his tone, realizing her mental state right now,

" Ashley, stop it now. We all know that Viona would never do it. You need to calm down."

Ashley sobbed hard, pulling her eyes up over Damien,

" How..how could I do this, Damien? My mother is gone forever. I can't accept it. It hurts so much."

Damien had already stepped ahead to pull her into his arms. After all, Ashley was his childhood friend. They grew up together and she did save his life once. Practically, he cared for her.

Ashley cried in Damien's arms. Her eyes blurred as she mumbled her words out, clear enough to reach everyone's ears,

" Nothing would have happened Damien if you could just claim me as your mate. She isn't any good for our pack. She is destroying our lives."

Her words reached Viona's ears who finally came back to reality and looked up to see Ashley crying. She tried her best to keep her tone soft, knowing that her mother's death had broken her entirely. Viona murmured getting on her knees as Ariana helped her to get up in trance,

" I don't know anything, Ashley. I have no idea how did Aunt end up in my room. I didn't hear anything."

Ashley rebuked sharply, taking advantage of the fact that Damien was soft to her today,

" It's because you are the Luna Queen now. Nobody wants a jinx like you."

Although Viona wanted to restrain herself from speaking anything harsh, her wolf became angry. Raising her Alpha voice, she challenged Ashley who shrieked in fear backward,

Viona dissapared behind the door, leaving everyone in silence. By that time, Celeb was done checking all the CCTV footages. He rushed into the scene panting heavily. Damien urged him to speak fast. Celeb reported the Alpha, still fighting to catch his breath,

" The footages...all are okay Alpha bur we still haven't seen anyone coming. How can it be possible?"

The news broke into the members in second round of uproars. Now everything made sense and more terrifying. If the enemy couldn't be seen, it would be more dangerous for them. Ariana glanced up at Damien in worry and exhaled heavily. They just barely made up into their marriage but seems like, dangers were never leaving them alone. Besides, Damien would feel more responsible for Ashley now. She just hoped that Viona wouldn't give up on Damien so easily.

After two long exhausting days, the murder was still unknown to Blood Moon Pack members. It's like it dissapared into the ashes but some members blamed Viona for everything. Just some of them delibaretly pushed the blame upon her head. Viona felt lonely since she could feel the distance between Damien and her this days. Hence, most of her time spent with Ariana who was the most reliable person in the house now. Viona noticed that Ariana skipped her question each time she questioned about Brian. At the end, she stopped asking about anything.

Ariana entered into the bathroom after the long exhausting day of working. Standing underneath the cold water, she let her thoughts running wild and rubbed onto her arms softly. She was so engrossed into the thoughts that the sound of door opening missed her eardrums. Cold, shivering hands wrapped around her waist. She jerked snapping open her eyes to smile widely,

" Brian!"

Brian hummed nibbling on his mark over her neck. He missed her too much to say anything. Everything he wanted to do with his actions. He sucked onto her mark hard to hear her loud moan. Ariana huffed without turning her back to face him,

" Where have you been these days? You haven't come to meet me once."

" Hmm! Pack duties! Father wants me to take the pack within next two weeks."
