Chapter 72: Chapter 72
After they entered into the safe zone, only then Viona breathed in relief. Her sharp gaze still wandered around one more time before picking up her pace towards the shabby hut. Damien was right behind her, dwelled in his thoughts and a part of him felt uncomfortable when he smelled the strong flavour of witch materials.
Holding his confusions inside his mind, he followed Viona until they stopped in front of the door. Much to his surprise, the shabby hut door cracked open upon their presence. Damien crooked his brows, scanned his gaze around wandering if any sensor was stationed here. But the decor and poor state of that door made it impossible to believe that there was any modern technological stuffs hidden there.
Viona wasn't shock at all. She was very natural with this witch powers and entered into the hut casually. After going few steps, she finally spotted the woman, sitting across the ground with her herbs. Viona greeted in a friendly manner,
" Agatha! "
Damien followed her gaze and discovered an young woman in white plain gown. A round glass was holding on her face, a face full of obedient student. One glimpse, Damien could tell that she was an highly educated person.
Damien whispered into Viona's ears,
" Who is she? "
Viona replied looking straight into Agatha's eyes who was busy in chanting some spells,
" Agatha De Meath, the last white witch of nineteen century. She is here to help us."
Damien was surprised a little. He still hesitated to receive any help from witches. In the past, no werewolf had ended up with being good after taking any help from witches.
Viona sensed his uneasiness through their mate bond. Taking his palm into her fist slowly, she tried to sooth his uneasiness,
" Relax! She is a friend of mine. I will never do something to hurt you. You know that?"
Damien relaxed under her soft caressing. Averting his eyes back on Agatha who just ended her ongoing ritual, he saw her smiling that definitely looked cringy. Agatha adjusted the glass over her nose and greeted them back with a smile,
" Vi, welcome back. I didn't expect to meet your mate so soon."
Viona returned her a weak smile. Drawing in a nervous breath, she spoke skipping straight to the point,
" Agatha, we both need your help."
Viona knew Agatha for decades nearly. Meeting this wise, white witch was really a lucky charm for her. She met Agatha during a time of hunting session. The powerful tiger had left her with many bruises and made her weak. Agatha found her at the middle of forest and healed her bruises. They became good friends surprisingly. Agatha promised to stay in touch under one condition that Viona couldn't reveal about her location to others. But her mate didn't count on that.
************
The trio sat across the mattress naturally. A low height table was placed at the center with a lot of witch elements sprawled all over the surface. They came in a peaceful environment when Viona shortly described that what she needed to know from Agatha. After chatting with Agatha for a while, Damien felt her trustworthy and compelled with Viona.
Agatha asked placing her both hands over the table,
" So, Alpha wants to know why couldn't he see the face of his parents murderer?"
Damien hummed in response. Dropping his eyes on the table absentmindedly, he responded quite frustratingly,
" True! I tried to recognize her but I couldn't watch her face completely."
Agatha nodded with understanding and fell in deep dillemma trying to recalculate her previous informations regarding vampires. Agatha streched out her palms together, asking Damien to put his,
" Give your hands, Alpha. Take me back to the scene that you visioned in that spot."
Damien raised his palms hesitantly and put them into hers after an inner battle. He indeed needed to know who was behind everything. His wolf was restless in searching the true murderer. A Royal Wolf was quite vengeful of his own clan and Damien, being the last Royal Wolf had all dominances inside his veins. It was hard to detect who had more dominance he or his Bride!
Agatha clutched their palms together. Squeezing her eyes shut tightly, she began to chat her spell to enter into the vision of Damien's mind.
Viona watched them carefully. Hoping that the process wouldn't make Damien uncomfortable, she stayed closer, ready to offer any comfort to her mate.
Not long after, Agatha's brows tightened together. Her expression became a little complicated when she got the exact vision finally. On the other side, Damien remained calm without any reaction and let the witch enter into his vision.
Agatha snapped her eyes open in shot suddenly. Her breathing heavied and a rows of little pants came through her lips. Viona questioned hurriedly,
" What's wrong? Have you seen her face? Who was she?"
Damien also kept staring at Agatha with an expectant look. His wolf was impatient to know the identity of that murderer.
Agatha replied letting out a deep exhale,
" I couldn't see her face but there is one thing that I am sure about now."
Damien's frown tightened again. Getting closer, he asked in a husky voice,
" What is it?"
Agatha continued reaching out to grab a book and flipped through the pages hastily untill she found the correct piece of news,
" I was right! The murderer belongs to the Royal Clan which gives her extraordinary powers, Alpha. She specifically uses her magic to blurr her facial feature. But we got two clues here. First, she belongs to the Royal family, secondly she was a werewolf hunter."
Damien's veins tightened underneath his clothes. His beast growled inside to come out and create havoc in Vampire's territory.
How could they kill his parents?
Damien questioned again impatiently,
" How..how will I find her?"
Agatha rubbed her palms, still shook by the Alpha power that she felt through Damien. Pulling her lips into a smirk, she replied shortly,
" It's upto you, Alpha. I can't mess with the vampires for the safety of my existence. You know that I am the last white witch."
Viona's powerful voice rang beside his ears, sending him a wave of determination,
" We will find out the culprit, Damien. No one will be left unpunished since we are sure that those vampires were behind our honourable king and queen."
Damien nodded his head vigorously. Letting out a low guttural growl, he agreed stepping up from the ground,
" Absolutely, Viona. I am going back to the car. I am sure that you two friends have something to talk."
Viona smiled at him weakly, watched him going out of the hut with a restless heart. His wolf wouldn't be in peace anymore unless his claws were stained with the blood of those murders.
Viona switched her attention back on Agatha. Pursuing her lips together, she was going to speak something but Agatha spoke first,
" He is here for you."
Viona's heart shuddered in anticipation. Swallowing the discomfort inside her chest, she managed to utter those words,
" Who.. who?"
Agatha dropped her eyes on the table and replied shortly while drawing circles on the table,
" Your other mate, Viona."
