Chapter 69: Chapter 69

Back to the land of Rainbow, Alaric had made his way furiously towards his mother. The guards left him on the doorway and didn't proceed further since it was their usual family drama.

Alaric stared hardly at the woman with long black hairs. From her backside, he could see her putting something into the bonfire. It might be another spell to increase her witch power.

Alaric growled pointing at his mother's back furiously,

" Mom, don't tell me that it was your plan to abduct Viona? Why the hell have you taken her here?"

The woman in high length black gown turned her face to see his son. Her eyes sparked in happiness at his sight. Leaving the woods to burn on its own, she replied shortly,

" Welcome home, Son."

Alaric growled in frustration. Marching few steps on her way, he yelled out of rage,

" Is that why you have taken her here because you didn't see me coming home?"

Her mother shurgged nonchalantly. Turning her body around to focus on the bonfire, she replied truthfully,

" I was merely trying to figure out what was going on in your life. But it turns out like the girl seems very important in your life."

Alaric gritted his teeth harder in anger. His words came out shakingly as he spoke,

" Do not meddle in my personal life, mother. Whatever happening between us has nothing to do."

The woman appeared highly dissapointed after his rude words. She scoffed coldly before turning around to look into her own maiden bonfire,

" I wouldn't have bothered to poke my nose in your business but Alaric, you aren't any average vampire. The clan needs an heir and I am just trying to confirm that you have choosen the right person for this realm."

Alaric growled at her furiously as his voice bounced in the empty space reverberatingly,

" I am saying you one last time, mother. Please do not interfere between me and Viona. She still doesn't know anything. If you really want me to take the ruling over vampires, stay away from my personal life."

His mother sighed out helplessly and replied walking over to Alaric in a steady step,

" Alaric! You are priotizing her over everything."

Alaric admitted without hiding his feeling anymore,

" That's what should I supposed to do, mother. You and Rosamund are making this hard for me. Where is Viona? I have to see her."

Alaric's mother confirmed putting a momentary end between their argument,

" She is under Rosamund's observation. Let me show her to you first."

They spoke before heading for the Viona's living hut.

****************

Viona rose up her face from huddle between her thighs. Arching her face aside, she saw two men walking inside with a bowl of human food. Her eyes darkened dangerously at their sight. It turned out like that witch had gone from here.

Viona's mind sparked in deep thoughts. The men dropped the bowl in front of her and ordered briefly in their cold voice,

" Eat the food."

Viona's lips curled up mischievously as her eyes rested on them coldly. Lifting herself from the ground, she sneered clenching her fists together,

" Of course, I would but not the foods! You two! "

The second time those two vampires regretted for showing a little generousity towards Viona, she approached them with an extreme force. Her left leg skillfully lifted up in bonaire, made a whirling circle and hit the plump head of those guard vampires.

One of them slumped backward, hit his back against the half wooden door. The other stingy one got bounced against the objects that were stationed at a corner. His muscles turned sagging as he lost his balance after the blow that he received from Viona. Even his vampire muscles couldn't fight against her heavy blow.

The guard who was thrown over the door attempted to get up from the ground. Viona stepped one step back and folded her arms chivalrously. Chin raised up proudly, her words came out as dominant as she was,

" I am going to make you regret for abducting a Luna."

As her words came out, the guard charged forward to fight against her. Viona lowered her height a little, speedily extended her left arm to grab a hockey stick from her side and digged it directly inside the guard's chest. The guard gasped out in disbelief. Eyes dialeted slightly, he puked out a mouthful fresh blood.

Blood spitted out on Viona's wrath filled face as she scrunched her face in disgust. Rolling the stick inside his stomach one more time, she pulled it out from his body and smirked satisfyingly. Wiping one side of her stained face, she challenged the other guard who was groaning lowly in pain,

" You wanna try me?"

The guard gulped without approaching forward. Viona's wolf howled inside in joy and stooped victoriously on the dead body. Dropping the stick on her side, Viona took one large stride to get out of the room and ran towards the direction of forest without knowing where she was heading for.

Rainbow wasn't a common place for her as vampires never allowed others to step in their territory. Having lost in directions, Viona started to run here to there wildly hoping that she would find s way to escape out.

After running for a while, her knees went numb when she felt an external force pushing her down to fall on her knees. Viona growled out painfully before crunching down on her knee.

Panting heavily in pain, she whipped her head back to see Rosamund arching her hand in her way. She was casting her spell to give her pain.

Rosamund snickered forming into a bloodthirsty smile,

" I didn't expect you to behave so wildly, Luna. How about I let you taste a bit of your own medicine?"

Another painful growl came out from Viona's throat as Rosamund used more painful invisible force to keep her grounded. After a while of suffering, Viona's nose sniffed as she smelt a familiar scent around.

But why was she smelling two different scents?
