Viona kept rumbling in pain and heard the shocking transition of Ariana's word. Though she wasn't very aware about this mate-bond feelings, something terrified her mind subconsciously. Ariana's breathing came in pant as she sutured clearing off all the sparking curiosity of Viona,

" I..I feel bad.. Brother Damien must be hurt. That's why you are aching. It's your mate's bond that caused you sudden pain."

Viona's mind went blank after her clear explaination. Whether she accepted Damien as her official husband or not, she never wished to see him hurt. Fear became evident in her brown eyes and she questioned most like a growl,

" Where.. where is he now?"

Ariana replied still supporting Viona's weight with her bare arms,

" I..I don't know..They are securing the border sides. Luna, what are you thinking about now?"

Viona gave her a brief reply and attempted to stand straight in case she felt better,

" I am going to check on him."

Ariana wanted to stop her but the door was suddenly pushed open by an external force from outside. Viona already started to change her shift, thinking that those rogues had barged inside their mansion. But all her thoughts turned into a mere assumption when Celeb entered into a panicking state.

Having stared at everyone angrily, Celeb informed Viona within just a few words,

" Your Highness got stabbed by the rogue unfortunately. He is making his way back to the mansion."

Everyone gasped out in shock including Viona whose stomach felt a tight knot after his information. She practically swallowed the uneasiness and muttured incoherently,

" Did you call any healer? Is it too serious?"

Celeb shook his head unknowingly and replied thoughtfully,

" We still don't know."

Ariana exclaimed fearfully,

" What about the situation out there?"

Celeb assured with a heavy heart,

" The situation is under our palms but only your highness was hurt. Hope, this doesn't get serious."

Viona forced her mind to think faster. She urged Celeb hastily while looking around the frightened members,

" Take him back to the mansion fast. I am preparing the room for him but please don't lose hope. Continue fighting until they all are demolished."

Celeb hummed before bowing respectively and went out to comply Viona's command. After Alpha's ill state, they could only follow Viona's order now.

Viona once again reminded Ariana to send those pups in the hidden room. Then she strode upstairs to prepare the bed and some first aid for him. Perhaps he would need it as soon as he would come back.

Her random thoughts didn't stay much longer. Because soon after someone knocked on the door and opened it up, she saw Celeb and another gamma carrying a half unconscious Damien in their arms. Viona's eyes travelled down to his stomach subconsciously from where blood was flowing out like a natural stream.

Her wolf snarled in pain and wanted to hug him to pass her comfort but rather stayed back for the sake of other presenters here. Celeb stumbled on his feet and finally dropped him down on the neatly trimmed bed with the help of gamma.

Viona quickly charged forward to scan the bruised area and asked with worry,

" You guys didn't stop the bleeding? He might have lost too much blood."

Viona reached for some fresh cotton in order to purify his bruise and started to clean it off extra cautiously. The gamma beside Celeb mumbled sorrowfully,

" It's all my fault, Luna. He got stabbed to save me. It's all my fault.."

Viona's hand paused midway abruptly. She looked down at Damien astonishingly, too speechless to know that he had done so much for the sake of others. Pushing away those sudden emotions of her heart, she replied absentmindedly,

" It's not your fault. He has saved you as your Alpha. Don't blame yourself."

The gamma could only hang his head down longingly and heard the door opening slightly. The healer entered in a rush and walked over Damien without wasting any more time.

Viona was seated at the opposite end of his side and saw the healer examining Damien carefully. After wrapping his bandage, he informed with an assuring voice,

" Luna, Alpha King is fine. Lucky the dagger didn't go deeper of his skin. But I need you to watch over him for the whole night."

Viona accepted without any hesitation,

" Sure! I will look after him. Just tell me the way! "

The healer replied after falling in deep thoughts and reasoned casually,

" He might catch favour during this meantime. So I want you to pass your warmth into his body for the entire night."

Viona's eyes dialeted slightly after realizing what the healer meant!

She bit her lips together and sutured with difficulties,

" I understand but..."

The healer interrupted a bit annoyingly,

" Luna, no one can do it except you. You are his soulmate. His body will accept your smell without any inner battles."

Viona's mind fell in dilemma as she didn't wish to stay stark naked with the man whom she will leave after a year. But glancing down at his pale face, she later agreed nervously,

" Okay! I will do as you said."

What if they lose control and mark each other?
