That night, Brian didn't had his courage to appear in front of Ariana. He watched them, entering into a big house from a distance. He wished that he could rush over to her and hugged her in his embrace to feel their baby. Maybe, he should talk to her alone first. He didn't want to put a bad impression on her parents'mind all of a sudden.

With this final decision, Brian went back inside the city to spend the night, waiting for Ariana to go outside alone. That would be their best opportunity to talk freely. He still had to figure out how she would react to his presence.

" Are you on the way?", a warm, polite voice echoed from the speaker, causing Ariana's eyes to roll secretly.

She was driving to the restaurant alone. Her mother wanted to drive her back safely but she got an urgent call for some serious operation that she could only do. Ariana insisted on coming alone, thought it would be okay and drove to the discerned place. It was Jackson, her mother's best friend's son who was on the phone. Clarie claimed that Jackson and she should become friends just like their mothers. Deep down, Ariana knew that it was nothing but a blind date, only the fact that her mother decided to hide it from her.

" Almost there!", Ariana mumbled, parking her car in front of a five star restaurant. The place seemed rich and costly. According to her mother's talk, Jackson was a nice guy, pursuing his doctorate degree in a renowned college. Since, she was unmated now, her mother wanted her to restart her life again. Ariana didn't blame her mother for this aspect. They just wanted her to be well like other parents.

" Please this way!", Jackson smiled at her politely, pulling out a chair for her to sit down. Her mother really had a great choice of guy. Jackson was indeed handsome with a glass on his face. Even, he gave off the vibe of an intelligent man. But Ariana wasn't really comfortable this time. Her thoughts were still full of Brian's memories.

But she chatted friendly to respect her mom's wishes. Even Jackson sounded friendly and slowly they became comfortable in talking to each other.

" I will take salmon fish!", Ariana chose the menu, licking her lips hungrily secretly. Ever since she was pregnant, she didn't taste salmon fish. She loved sea foods but the doctor said that she could only eat less for the sake of the baby.

Jackson smiled at her hungry expression, replied flipping through the menu card,

" All right but you should avoid papaya. It's not good during pregnancy. I have to know the name of the vegetables which they are putting on the salad."

Right behind their table, Brian listened to their conversation with a deadly expression. He snorted internally when Jackson sounded caring about her foods.

My baby! Here, this guy is showing care! Huh!

Brian had been following Ariana ever since she left the mansion alone. Curious where she was heading alone, he didn't stop her car midway instead of silently until her car stopped in front of the restaurant. All his calm moods were ruined when he saw a guy, leading her way.

Wait till we are mated again!

Brian vowed inside and followed them secretly to sit right behind them. As their bond wasn't workable anymore, Ariana couldn't detect his presence so easily.

Ariana smiled at his kind gesture, replied with a budding smile,

" That's very kind of you, Jackson!"

Brian had a choice but to interrupt their lovely moments. Standing up, he straightened his spine to walk for their table, smiling all the way until he sat next to Ariana,

" Indeed, I appreciate it too."

Ariana's face turned pale in a moment, her widening eyes fell on Brian's smiling face. He was behaving like it was common to sit next to her. Jackson was awestruck as well. So far, he heard that only Ariana would be here. Not to mention, Brian had already snaked an arm around her body.

Ariana blurted, gritting her words out,

" What are you doing here? Brian! Get off of me! We aren't even related.."

Jackson cleared his throat to make his presence clear. He asked to shift his eyes between Ariana and Brian,

" Ariana...is he yours.."

" No one!", Ariana blurted, pushing Brian's arms away repeatedly to see his grin turning wider. She continued through her clenched teeth,

" He isn't my boyfriend or husband or mate.. Jackson.. Don't mind him.."

Brian darkened his eyes at her. This woman had become so brave that she declined his presence here. But Brian had his answer in his mind. He smiled meticulously at Jackson, then hugged Ariana more intimately to say,

" Yes, I am no one to her but I am the father of this child that she is carrying. I hope, it's clear to you, buddy."

Naturally, Jackson understood that it was a feud between couples. So he just laughed, leaning against the chair to reply politely,

" Don't mind me then! We were just hanging out!"

" Ariana! Stop! Stop! We need to talk..Ari..", Brian kept yelling, chasing Ariana who was mad at him. Jackson left after a few minutes of Brian's appearance. Ariana felt embarrassed for him.

Brian grabbed onto her forearms from behind, forcing her to halt in her track carefully. Ariana kept shouting at his face distastefully,

" Brian Rogers! We aren't fucking mate anymore. Stay away from me. Whoever I meet is none of your business."

Brian released her arms instantly, anger flaring from her eyes. Ariana had never talked to him so rudely. It was his first time, listening to her. He had no claim on her because he wasn't her mate anymore. This one line kept angering him more.

When Brian went silent, Ariana turned around to climb into her car. But she froze immediately when Brian gripped her arms from behind with a growl. Before she could react to anything, a piercing pain shot through her body alongside a new surge of emotions.

Her eyes went wide in realization. Holding the burning place of her neck, she stuttered, turning around to glare at Brian furiously,

" Brian...you...."

Brian grinned big evilly and admitted dryly after a chuckle,

" Now, you can't tell me that I am not your mate anymore!"

One month later,

A gunshot fired in the forest of Blue Moon Pack House. Brian supported his heavily pregnant wife with a grim expression.

How the hell does he allow her to use this gun?

Brian regretted the hundredth time this month. Yes, he finally managed to hunt down his mate again. Ariana was again marked by him, forever tied to him with their unborn child. Ever since Brian showed her how to shoot out of curiosity, Ariana couldn't stop making her demand. She wanted to learn about shooting as soon as possible.

Ariana paid zero attention to his words, shot consistently until it hit the target repeatedly. Having no way to stop her, Brian came up with his wicked thoughts. He rubbed on her butt slowly, whispered to stop her from hiring anymore,

" Babe, you are going to deaf my ears. Enough for today!"

He ended up pinching on her butt to hear her gasp. Ariana growled, dropping the gun aside to turn around to face her husband. Yes, they married the second day after Brian marked her forcefully. Brian feared that she would run away from him again. So, he wasted no time dragging her into the church.

Ariana barked at his lustful eyes, knowing all his dirty attention,

" Brian! Fuck! In no way, I am going to have sex with you in this open place."

She grumbled, rubbing on her stomach to glare at Brian secretly. Ever since she got pregnant, Brian noticed that she was acting too sassy. But good to hear that their healer assured that it was nothing uncommon because Ariana was carrying an Alpha baby. It was natural to act sassy on time.
