Chapter 102: Chapter 102

" Are you really her parents? How come it is possible? We have never heard of you guys before!", Viona doubted their words. A well dressed couple stood on their front couch, claiming that Ariana was their biological daughter.

The couple looked harmless. The woman who was supposed to be Ariana's mother had worn a stylish dress and glass on her face. Her husband sitting next to her had a suit more like a fashionable bachelor. From the look in their eyes, Viona could say that they were educated and modest.

The woman named Clarie nodded, sipping from the coffee with her legs crossed,

" Oh yes, Luna! We have brought DNA tests too. It's understandable that you will doubt our words. Ariana got changed in the hospital. Ever since that time, we looked for her but she changed places too many times. So, we couldn't find her. Even any pack refused to help us since we started to live like humans. Actually her father and I had always been interested in studies. Instead of leading a werewolf life, we always preferred human lives. So, we lived like free wolves. After years, we finally managed to track her location when she started working in the city. Now, we two are successful pack doctors in town and would like to spend our last days with our daughter. Even, we don't have any children except her."

Clarie stared at her daughter emotionally. She had been waiting for years for this moment. Her missing daughter was finally back to her. Ariana was silent all the time. She was shocked like others and had lost her voice to speak anything.

Viona tapped on Ariana's hands to remind her slowly,

" Ariana...say something...You can stay if you want.."

Although, this pack was her family in her heart, she believed that she had also responsibilities for her parents. Heaving a long breath, she blurted out truthfully,

" I have rejected my bond with my mate and am currently pregnant with his child. No matter what, this pack is my family. I can't promise to stay with you guys all this time but I would like to distribute my time between you and this pack. If you can accept me as a single mother, I can go back to you guys."

Hurt flashed in Clarie's eyes. As a mother, she could feel the pain of her daughter. Thankfully, they both were very open minded people. So being a single mother never bothered them. Clarie replied affectionately, dropping the cup aside,

" Of course! You are our baby. Nothing is going to change the fact."

Damien felt relieved after their words. At least, Ariana wouldn't be feeling outcast anymore. Although he loved her like his own sister, he knew that Ariana had sorrows for being an orphan. Viona jumped off excitedly, muttered before running for the stairs,

" That's settled then! She is going to live with both of us. I will help her pack her clothes."

Minutes afterwards, Viona came down with her luggage, and passed it to Ariana who was ready to leave with her parents. Damien came to speak to her and gently kissed her forehead. His words laced with emotions,

" Remember, Ari! No matter what happens, you will always be my sister, a member of this pack."

Ariana bursts into tears and embraced the guy who gave her more than she could deserve ever. She promised between her sobbing,

" You too remember, Damien. You will always be my family."

In a blink of an eye, it was the day of Brian's wedding ceremony. Damien didn't want to participate but with Viona's consistent blackmail, he had to go afterwards. Regardless of their disappointment on Brian, Viona couldn't ignore the fact that Brian was her brother.

The backyard of their pack house looked like a grand Royal Event. Mr.Rogers spared no effort in decoration for his son's wedding. Besides, he was going to announce Brian as the new Alpha after their vows.

The Royal Couple appeared together, hands in hands and stole the attention like always. The pack members all bowed at them respectively as they all heard about their victorious win against evil Lucas. Hence, they no longer despised Viona for being a hybrid. Besides, it was Alpha Rogers fault for having affairs with vampire lady.

Damien let her sit down on the chair. His expression was always this cold ever since he came to this wedding. Viona was four months pregnant now. Her protruding stomach was visible now. So people were giving her envious glares especially the ladies. Damien murmured lowly,

" I am going to get you some drinks,okay? Don't walk or go around."

Viona nodded with a smile and really enjoyed his excessive pampering ever since they had their baby. She waited for him to return and wondered about Brian.

Did he really forget about Ariana so easily? Was her brother too greedy to have his power that he abandoned his mate, child completely?

She thought and sighed heavily before rubbing her stomach, a weird habit that she developed from her pregnancy.

" How far are you?", Alpha Rogers voice snapped her out of her thoughts. Viona looked up to see her father, sitting next to her chair, his eyes laid on her stomach. His look wasn't cold like before, a gleam of adoration could be seen there.

Viona bit her lips tightly. It was awkward to have a normal conversation with her father after years of his cold treatment. She replied, pursuing her lips together tightly,

" 4 months only.."

Mr.Rogers nodded with understanding and spoke after a moment of hesitation,

" Can I touch her?"

The cold, heartless man had finally spoken to her softly, a voice that she never heard when she was living in this pack house. Subconsciously, tears began to threaten from her eyes. But she held them on force, murmuring after a gulp,

" You can!"

Mr.Rogers put his hand on her stomach for a while. A big grin spread on his face when he heard the heartbeat of his grandchildren. It was a feeling that he never felt before. After he heard about the tragedies Viona faced, he felt guilty for everything including her complicated married life. But he had no words to say sorry for his mistake. The scars were too deep to heal and he couldn't mend the mistakes anymore.

" Twins!", Alpha Rogers exclaimed, his eyes turning big in happiness. Even Viona was surprised at first then smiled back to ask curiously,

" How do you know?"

Mr.Rogers shrugged, putting back his arrogant face,

" Just say the Alpha thing! I am happy for you, Viona. At least, I will have the privilege to see my grandchildren before death."

Viona nearly blurted that he had other grandchildren coming too. But then she realized that it was Ariana's personal choice to leave Brian, she didn't say anything. She only smiled a little before looking away with tears in her eyes. For the first time in life, she had this strange feeling of having a father, the care and affection. Perhaps, her children will break the cold bridge between them.

Several minutes later, Brian and his soon-to-be wife were heading for the wedding stage. A priest was already there to perform their wedding rituals. Brian looked deathly pale as if he was going for a war of death and life. Silvia was consistently smiling to marry her childhood crush finally.

They both climbed on the stages together. Brian in dark clothes looked stunning except for the grim look on his expression. His eyes pulled over to scan the crowd, spotting Viona alone without the most expected person by her side. Until today, Brian thought that Ariana was going to ruin his wedding. At least, he believed that she would rush over here from her jealousy. But she didn't even bother as if there was nothing between them.

Brian's heart felt heavy, pain consuming his soul slowly. Although their bond was broken, the affection, love his heart felt for her was still there. Did she really give up on him?

The thought of watching her with someone else,his own child will call dad someone else possibly, everything made him insane inside. Nothing felt important to him except them, a smiling Ariana, her sweet smile. He had missed her terribly these days.

The clock was tickling already, pointing at the right time to start the final wedding. The priest began to chant the vows and asked Brian first,

" Brian Rogers, by the blessing of Moon Goddess, do you take Silvia as your lawfully wedded wife?"

For the very last time, Brian pulled his eyes over the exit, praying that a figure would pop out but nothing happened. His heart was disappointed again so much that he breathed hard shuddering.

As the guests waited in reigning silence to hear his response, Brian stuttered raising his head to stare deep into Silvia's questioning eyes,

" I do not!! I can't, Silvia..I..I am.. sorry..."
