Chapter 47: Chapter 47
Jason.
I heaved a sigh of relief as soon as I picked up my sword from the floor, and pointed it at Alexander before he had the chance to go get his sword.
I thought I was going to die when he had his sword to my throat, but luckily Ashley save me just in the nick of time.
“Sorcery. I can see you have gotten some sort of help from a witch I assume,” Alexander said, while I pointed my sword at him.
“Are you surprised?” I asked as I tried keeping a tap on his every move.
“Not really, but I would say for a moment there you had me fooled into thinking you had a bit of bravery. But now you have made me know that you are nothing but a coward. I mean what type of victory do you hope to achieve from defeating me through the help of a witch,” he questioned.
His words bruised my ego a bit, but he would be crazy to think that I was going to fight him all alone.
No man in his right sense would want to single-handedly fight with Alexander unless he of course has a death wish.
What he thinks of my fighting style does not matter to me, what matters to me is that I kill him and become the alpha king by the end of today.
And I already have him in a position that would be difficult for him to escape. All I have to do is to ensure that my sword cut him no matter how small.
“Well, if it helps you relax, I am not getting help from any witch, the only person helping me out here is your mate, Ashley,” I said without thinking about the implication of what I had just said, as I was desperate to say things that would hurt him.
“What did you say?” Alexander asked as he looked surprisedly at me.
I seized that opportunity to try and attack him by swiping my sword toward him numerous times, but he was quick to dodge all my attacks.
“So you don't know, I am not surprised though, I mean why would she tell you her deepest secret when you never made her moan hard like she does when I fuck her? I said tauntingly to him.
I watched as he struggled to keep his wolf in control, any alpha wolf would be furious to know that his mate has enjoyed the company of another side of him.
I knew I had to keep pushing him as I was liking the effect my words were having on him. and I thought of ways to taunt him more.
“Well let me educate you about your mate before I kill you, it so happened that she is an element manipulator, which means that she can control earth, water, fire, and air. She assured me that she would assist me in killing you when she learned that you were alive. Using her powers to take the sword off your hand is one of the many tricks that she has in store for you,” I said as I followed his gaze to see that he was staring at Ashley.

Ashley
I don't know why I always get the chills when I feel or see a stranger looking in my direction.
The way he randomly shifts his attention to me, even though his face is hidden within the face he is wearing, my heart beats and yawns for him.
I am starting to think something is wrong with me, how can I be attracted to someone I don't even know.
I have never felt this way with another aside Alexander. The thought of Alexander slowly crept into my mind as I wonder what he would be doing at this very moment.
He is probably wrapped up in the warmth of another woman and may have completely forgotten all about me.
Even though I feel hurt and neglected by Alexander, there is this little bit of hope within me that keeps assuring me that I might be wrong about what I think of him.
That my Alexander would one day come for me and his baby and together we will all be one very big happy family.
Thinking of Alexander completely took my mind off the stranger ss I felt I was cheating on Alexander by thinking of him too much.
I was already getting bored with the whole combat that seem to be taking forever to come to an end.
One of the major reasons I was losing interest is that I was eager to see my baby. I wonder where Jason had kept him and Oliver.
I could easily help Jason kill the stranger and get this whole shit show over with, but I have never used my powers to kill anyone before now.
And perhaps I feel I should only use my powers for good, and since Jason was the one that called for a fight, he should be able to handle his shit himself.
I have to look for a way to escape in other to go and look for my baby before Jason finishes his fight. I looked around me to see if there was an easy way out without being noticed by anyone.
But there were guards everywhere and they would want to stop me if I made any move.
Left with no other choice, I stylishly removed the chains that were wrapped around my legs and they dropped freely to the ground.
The chains were never locked by the guard Jason sent in the first place, I had threatened to kill the guard's entire family if he dared to lock them and the guard did my bidding without much persuasion.
After that, I started the rain chant and within seconds rain clouds started gathering and a few minutes later, it started pouring down heavily.
This made the whole place disorganized as people ran to take shelter, even the guards couldn't bear the downpour and they quickly ran to seek shelter.
I looked at Jason to see that he still had his eyes fixed on the stranger and I seized that opportunity to run away.
I ran towards the pack house to find out if any of the servants knew where Jason had kept my baby.
I ran as fast as my legs could carry me and I was only a few feet away from the pack house when I saw Oliver running away from the pack house with a baby.
I instinctively started running towards him and quickly took the baby from her in excitement to see that it was my baby boy.
I could recognize him with the birthmark on his neck. Alexander has a similar birthmark, though Alex's looks faded.
“Oh, how I have missed you my baby I said while hugging my baby on my chest tightly and defending him with kisses.
I could hear Oliver whisper some words to me or was she shouting, but I was too distracted with the joy of being reunited with my baby to hear what she was saying.
Just then an arrow flew past the head of my baby and landed on Oliver's chest.
She gasped and fell to the floor finding it difficult to breathe.
“Oliver!”
I screamed as I looked around to see where the arrow was coming from only to see that we have been surrounded by Derrick and his men.
Derrick was armed with a seord while his men had various weapons from swords to bows and arrows, while a few others were carrying a log of well-sharpen-edged wood.
Derrick's expression was blank as if he did just see his only child struggling to hold on to life.
“You are a monster,” I screamed at Derrick and his monsters.
I was so confused about what to do as I fell to the ground, with my baby in my hand, I pulled Oliver to myself with my free hand while she kept wincing in pain.
“Oliver, please keep your eyes open for me, please don't close them,” I said in a panic as tears starts flowing from my eyes.
Derrick and his men kept closing in on us and just when I figured out a way to save myself and Oliver, I saw arrows flying in from different directions.
