Chapter 107: Chapter 107
As we reached the front desk, the woman there in a black and white uniform that had the manager tag on her black jacket's uniform. She smiled as soon as she saw us. "Hello, good evening. How may I help you?"
"Hi, I made a reservation for two under Simpsons." Jake answered her.
"Ah, yes. Just go straight up to the top floor. Your name is written on the table."
"Thank you." He replied, and we started towards the stairs that led to the top floor.
As we reached the top, I saw that a VIP sign in blue lights was hanging on the top of the entrance. No wonder it had a fountain of chocolate at the middle. The tables were lesser than the ones on the ground floor and it seemed to be filled with couples.
Two waiters were standing at the back in their black trousers and white shirt uniform, waiting to serve customers. We immediately saw our table. Simpsons was written on a card and placed standing on the second table on the right. We walked to it and Jake pulled out one chair for me to sit.
I sat down and he walked to the other one opposite it to sit down. As soon as we did, one of the waiters walked to our table, holding two menus. He passed one to Jake and one to me. We took it as he greeted us, "Good evening, Sir, Ma'am. Please have a look at our menu and let me know what you want."
"Okay." Jake replied as I answered with, "Alright."
He stood there waiting for us as we both scanned the menu. It was a black on the back with the word, 'Menu' written in Golden color. I opened it and saw that the inside was white in color with golden writing. It had the dishes arranged from starter, main dish and dessert. That was how high class and porsh the restaurant.
Several delicious dishes were there and many that I've never tried before. I closed the menu, already knowing what I wanted. Jake was looking at me as he handed his menu to the waiter. "What do you want, baby doll?"
I turned to the waiter and handed him the menu. He took it from me as I gave my answer, "Peppered Crab, Spaghetti Bolognese and a chocolate souffle."
"What about Drinks, Ma'am?" The waiter asked, and I gestured to Jake.
"I'll get what he's getting."
"Alright. What about you, Sir?" He asked, turning to Jake.
"I'll get what she's getting for the food and as for drinks, we'll have a red Chapman."
"I willl get them right away, Sir." He replied then turned around to walk through a door.
"You really know how to choose your desserts, a chocolate souffle." Jake commented, looking impressed as he looked at me.
"Yeah, it tastes really good."
"Do you know how to make it?" He asked, looking curious.
"Oh, I keep forgetting that you can also cook, and to answer your question, no, I haven't learnt it yet."
"Yeah, I can teach you how to make one. It's not as hard to make as people make it out to be."
"That's cool, thanks for that, babe." I grinned as the waiter walked out of the door, pushing a cart.
The cart had our dishes on it along with red roses and a golden crown placed on it. The waiter reached us and started placing the dishes on our table. One plate of crab for me, one for Jake, one plate of Spaghetti Bolognese for me, one for him and one Chocolate Souffle for me and one for him then one red Chapman for me and one for him.
As soon as he was done, he picked up the crown and placed it on the center of the table. He picked up the red roses and placed them in my hands before giving a slight bow to us and pushing his cart back to the door.
Jake stood up from his seat and picked up the crown. He stepped closer to me and held out his right hand for me to take. I placed my left hand in it and he pulled me up. He captured my gaze as he placed the crown on my dark curls. He then placed his hand in his pocket and pulled out a square black box.
His eyes went back to mine as he placed the black case between us and opened it. "Maxine Roberts, will you do me the honor of becoming my wife and my Queen?"
I felt a smile stretch on my lips, showing my front teeth. "Yes! Of course!"
He grinned at my response and wrapped his arms around me in a hug. I hugged him back, smelling his sweet, masculine scent mixed with perfume as my head rested on his broad chest. He pulled back and took the ring out from the box then took my left hand and pushed it down my ring finger. My smile widened into a large grin and he lifted his eyes up to mine. I could see and feel his love through our bond.
