Chapter 20: Chapter 20

Axel and Narcia's friendship bond grew stronger within the months. The school had reopened and true to his words, Reign had left the apartment.

I need a new friendship circle. I'm tired of my current one. I need to explore. He thought to himself.

"I'm tired of this sour relationship between both of us. It's either we talk it through or we take a break from each other. This is becoming toxic." Narcia said to Reign in his apartment.

"Whatever you want, you can do. I need a fun girl, you're just boring and I think the break will do us good. At least you can learn to relate well with the less fortunate." He spat.

"I don't know what Brittana or whoever spewed that nonsense to you, but when you realise your mistake just pray, it's not too late Reign. Just pray." Narcia added as she walked out of the apartment.

I'm no longer going to cry over him, I've done enough of that. Narcia thought as she walked off to her apartment.

Even though their relationship had gone sour, she was still fond of Kayla and checked up on her and Nora regularly. Nora had confirmed that Reign had changed, and it was affecting his child.

"Any luck talking sense into his thick skull?" Zaid asked her as she entered the apartment.

"Nope, still the same." She said plopping down next to him on the couch.

"He's changed so much, he's not himself anymore," Zaid added affected.

"We pray he comes around, but we're gone on a break now. And I think it's best for both of us right now." She said

"Are you fine with that?" He inquired.

"Honestly, I thought I won't. But I'm actually fine." She smiled.

"That's nice, I wish everything falls in place okay?" He added.

"Thanks, Zaid, you're a good friend." She said ruffling his hair.

"Not the hair." He groaned as Narcia runoff.

"Hey," Narcia said picking her phone. "Heyya." Axel greeted.

"Hey, Xel." Narcia greeted.

"What's up?" He asked lying on his bed.

"Nothing new, just heading to my room." She shrugged opening the door to see her friends waiting for her.

"Xel, let me call you later, something just came up." She added.

"Alright Princess, talk to you later." He added hanging up.

Narcia sat on her bed and looked at her friends who were waiting for her to spill the beans.

"...So, we've taken a break from this toxic relationship. If we're meant to be, we'd find our way back but if not, well it was fun while it lasted." She explained.

"But are you alright?" Zhavia asked.

"Shocking enough, I'm pretty well, j guess my tears are too tired of crying over Him." She smiled.

"I'm sorry this had to happen to you." Her cousin consoled.

"Its fine Myra, I'm fine," Narcia added.

"So, what's going on with you and Axel, you guys have grown pretty close," Anya asked wiggling her eyebrows.

"Anya, I just broke up with my boyfriend sympathize with me." She said teasingly.

"Oh sorry, so what's up with you and Axel, spill," Anya added again making them burst into laughter.

***********

"Sorry." Reign said as he bumped into someone. He was in a hurry to go meet his friends that he didn't notice the person.

"Reign?" A female voice called as he lifted his head to the shock of his life.

"Marcy?" He called clenching his fists.

"Are you stalking me or what?" He spat.

"No, I go here too." She explained.

"Whatever, have a nice life." He added about walking off as she held his arm. A zap of electricity went through him.

"What?" He asked clearly angry.

"H-how is ----" "Don't you dare ask how she is cause you fucking left Mar, you left and stay far away from me and my daughter." He barked as he stormed off to wherever he was going.

Marcy bowed her head down as she walked to her room. She knew she was at fault and deserved every treatment he gave her. But the pressure she was getting from her family was so bad that she had to leave her child behind and force herself to say she wanted nothing to do with them.

"You okay?" Daya asked her roommate as she entered the dorm.

"I run into him." She replied.

"Reign?" She asked as her friend nodded.

"He was mad right?" She probed further.

"Yes he was and I kind of deserved it, how I wish I could turn back the hands of time," Marcy said as she sat on her bed.

"Enough about me. How's the plan going?" She asked Daya.

"Pretty well, in a short time to come, Brittana would not know what hit her," Daya added.

"Mason deserves justice, that's the least I can do for him." She smiled sadly.
