Chapter Twenty-Five

ALEX

"Oh! The gown fits you well. I felt like crying" The dressmaker hugged me. I smiled down at her and she helped put it back on the box. “You are just so beautiful.’

I help Kathy put her dress on which is a cocktail one while Keith had a long dress that looks like mine. It was a combination of blue and white. After that we went on a salon and have ourselves pampered. I even have a free massage at the spa. Kathy was giggling and laughing like a little school girl when she tried to dip her feet on the foot spa.

"Hey Kathy, are the lilies and roses ready?"

"Yup," she smiled up at me while trying to suppress her giggle.

"Okay. Next stop would be the cake."

CAIDEN

"To Cade," Nate raised his shot and look at me, "For he finally settled down from his player ways and was now completely whipped over Alex" Jacob laughed while I downed my own shot.

"Hey, don't drink too much dude. Your wedding is tomorrow. You wouldn't want a hangover don't you?" Andre warned me but I just snatched his own glass and downed it.

"I'm not even affected!" I laugh at them but the three of them just glared at me, "What? I'm just enjoying my last night. I'm officially tied to a girl named Alexandra Anderson tomorrow." The three of them laugh while I found myself downing my fourth shot.

"Cade, it's not like you don't want her, right?" Andre asked.

"Of course I like her Cod, no matter what. It just that I'm only worried what Ryder might do."

Andre knew all about it, the deal I had with Ryder that it had a connection on the kidnapping of Alex. The three of them look at me with pity while I just snatched my fifth shot.

"Dude, don't forget that we'll always be here" Jake put his arms around my neck.

"Yeah, dude. I'll always be here to chop you off if you ever made my cousin cry." Andre looked at me seriously while he played with his shot.

"Of course, I won't leave her Cod, ever." I smiled at him while he raised his shot and downed it.

"So what if Ryder did something?" Nate looked at me behind his glass.

"Don't worry I got all that in control. I just hope everything turns out right." I smiled while downing my drink.

"Oh shiz," I hissed while gripping my head tightly with my hands.

We headed home at exactly midnight and headed off to Nate's apartment. He got a stock of beers in his cupboard and the four of us headed in his room for a second match.

We found ourselves emptying all of the cans and I found myself dozing off into the couch and as I wake up, I found myself here in Nate's room all tangled up. I kicked the three out of the bed and proceeded in the kitchen to make a coffee.

I barely opened my eyes when the coffee had been finished. I forced myself up and drank it hastily even though my tongue was burnt.

I passed the other their coffees while I bolted in the bathroom to prepare. It's already quarter to four in the afternoon and the wedding will take place at exactly five pm on a church thirty minutes away from here.

I took a quick shower and shaved. I pulled out my suit, dress shirt and tie and got out of the room with my pants on and shoes. I better put the rest in my car on the way there.

"Cody, Nate, Jake. C'mon we're gonna be late!"

"Hey, we haven't put on our suits yet," Jacob exclaimed while he proceeded down the stairs only wearing his pants. I fastened the last button of my dress shirt and pull my suit up. It was a navy blue color with a strip of white on the sides.

"Just do it now!" I snapped at him while calling Nate and Andre.

The four of us bolted out of the apartment and went inside our cars. I stepped on the gas and as the four of us raced our ways we found ourselves laughing our heads off.

I sneak my head out of my window and screamed, "Woohoo, yeah!"

I bet the alcohol was still on our veins.

ALEX

Last night was fun! We were so elated and ecstatic at the same time. The girls were with me all the time. I was with Keith which was my maid of honor while Kathy is the senior bridesmaid, Coleen as the junior one with Janice which was one of Caiden's colleagues. I was surprise when I saw Andre's name as one of the groom's men in the invitation.

We picked our dress and gone clubbing. A drink or two and after dancing, we went back to our hotel room and had a movie night. We watch Frozen which was beautiful. I felt like singing again.

Maybe you think that I'm too old to watch, but it's beautiful!

We woke up early and after having our breakfast we headed off to the salon to have our makeover. That did us almost four hours to prepare. We proceeded at the back of the church which was just a block or two away from the hotel. We headed inside the changing room which was spacious and put my outfit on the chair. My wedding dress was a royal blue gown with strips of white at it.

It was perfect, I was so happy when I found it.

The twins help me put it on and after that they proceeded out of the room to give me some alone time. I was looking down at my gown, examining its intricate design when I felt someone whispering.

"Hello star…"

I looked up and found myself looking at those familiar blue eyes.
