Chapter 15: Chapter 15

Naomi always recited those words to calm herself down. That man shouldn't know she lives here, because she has moved several times due to being chased by debts.

She had just breathed a sigh of relief, but suddenly her phone rang again, and again she shuddered in horror at her own phone. She tried to hold herself from holding that phone until the call went off by itself.

After the call had been cut off, Naomi slowly approached her phone and picked it up to see who was calling her again. And unexpectedly, the number wasn't the number which previously called her.

To be precise, the current number which called her was a different person from the previous one.

She was too curious, her heart beating like crazy, she called the number again. She waited for the number to pick up the call, but it didn't pick up.

She was just about to hang up the call but finally, her call was picked. And not long after that, a voice greeted her. She fell silent at the voice which then called her name.

She recognized this voice,

“Hey…” he called out, causing her gaze became so cold,

“So it's you…” she said, who was trying to be nonchalant with Alex. She didn't expect Alex could call her after two weeks ago the two of them met. She thought Alex had given up on pursuing her, but it seemed that such a view was wrong,

“Yes… it's me. How are you? I'm impressed you recognized me from my voice."

"Where did you get my number?" Naomi concluded, ignoring his warm greeting,

"I've been looking for it," he answered,

"If there's nothing important to discuss, we'd better end this convers-"

“W-wait,” Alex beg who had already pulled his body forward due to reflex,

"You don't intend to block me do you?" he continued,

Naomi raised her left eyebrow, "You gave me a good idea."

"It's useless to block me because I will look for you wherever you go,"

"You sound like an insane stalker," she said coldly. Right now she was trying to be nonchalant about him. She will continue to act like this until that man is tired of chasing her.

That's what she thought.

"I don't mind you calling me that," Alex said with a crooked smile. He smiled with the warmth was starting to spread up inside of him. He didn't mind she called him anything, because Alex thought it was very pleasing to him,

Naomi laughed wryly, "Are you happy if I call you that?"

"Yeah, I don't mind," Alex said without knowing that Naomi was sick of him.

"How long have you been like this?" Naomi asked as she leaned her body against the white wall of her room,

"Until you come back to me,"

"You know that it would never happen, right?" Naomi asked with a face that clearly showed her displeasure at his words,

"It's bound to happen," he said quickly,

"Because we will definitely meet again," he said with a strong emphasis.

"In your dreams," she said before she hung up. Naomi was upset now, why should she be faced with two men who are both crazy like that? She couldn't understand what was her fault would be if she had to get involved with that two men. Naomi sighed before she decided to put her phone under her bed and started pulling the blankets for her to go back to sleep.

Sleep was a good thing for her bad mood.

Meanwhile,

Alex was smiling at what he was seeing. The girl he had been adoring for so long was on his laptop screen. In his sitting position with his back against his bed, he couldn't help but smile as he looked back at Naomi's CVs. There was no feeling of boredom even though he had been staring at the CV continuously.

He just called Naomi, and he was disappointed that she didn't pick up the call from him. At first, he had given up and planned to give a break for tomorrow so he called her again in the afternoon, but who would have thought if she would call him back. During the call with Naomi, Alex couldn't hide his lopsided smile even though Naomi was being so cold to him. He held his laptop screen which still had her picture on it. He stroked it gently as if he was gently stroking Naomi's face,

"I can't wait to meet you,"

"Thank you, ma'am..." Naomi said in a friendly manner to a woman who was the last customer before she and her father decided to go home because the wares had run out.

"It's nice our wares are run out all the time..." she said who was nodded by Benny,

"You're right..." he said as he watched Naomi start to tidy up the benches and the trash around her. Benny really wanted to tell Naomi what he wanted, but seeing how busy Naomi was, he decided to keep it and chose to discuss it when they were at home,

The two of them got ready until they finally left where they were selling. And along the way, the two didn't talk much, until a call came into Naomi's phone. She paused for a moment to take her phone, while her father gave a code to her from him to carry the cart and she nodded,

She saw on the screen that the one calling her was Seira. She picked it up and put the phone to her right ear.

"Yes, Seira? What's wrong?" she asked after Seira greeted her,

"Are you busy right now?" Seira asked, she stared at her father for a moment before she shook her head,

"Not really… my father and I were walking home after we were selling,"

"Oh... that means you're on a way to home, right?"

"Yes, Seira... what's the matter?" asked Naomi curiously.

“Umm… I wanted to tell you something, but I want to do it when you were at home. Just call me later when you get home..." said Seira who was nodded by Naomi. The call was cut off and Benny looked curious as to what she was talking about and who she was talking to,

"It's from Seira, dad, well... she said there was something she wanted to tell me, but later when we got home," she said, which Benny nodded understandingly.

Naomi saw Benny's hand pushing the cart. Aware of his daughter's intention to replace him pushing the cart, he gripped the handle of the cart and shook his head,

"Don't replace me ..." he ordered as he wasn't wanting to be denied. Naomi nodded in understanding and chose to walk with her father. Along the way, her mind kept thinking about what Seira was going to say to her. Because she was thinking too much, she didn't realize that she had arrived at her house.
