"But Mummy"
"Don't but me. For God sake Ibrahim will you keep quiet" Hajiya Kande shouted before turning to Hadiza "and you take your things inside and we will talk tomorrow" Hajiya Kande said before walking out on both of them
"Sorry Deedee, wipe your tears. That ass hole don't deserved your tears. I will make sure i show him his place" Ibrahim said trying to console his only sister. He helped her with her luggages to her room "go in and freshen up tomorrow we will talk, don't over stressed you're self okay" Hadiza nodded without saying a word because if she does she knows she will start crying
Hadiza was walking down the stairs to the dinning room but she was lost in her thought and almost fell down when she felt two strong arms wrapped around her because she thought she's going to fall down "hey watch where you're going sis, or did you want to get yourself injured" Ibrahim said calmly before releasing his grip on her after he saw that her leg was stable
"Thank you bro"
"Let's eat before we go out" they both sat down on the table and served there self's before they begin eating, half way through there breakfast Mummy came out of her room "Good morning mummy" they both chrouse at thesame time
"Morning" she answered without any trace of smile on her face immediately after the breakfast she went to sit on the parlour to watch her Zeeworld series
"Mummy" Hadiza said faintly but she got no reply from her "am sorry mummy" Deedee said tears flowing down her cheek but Hajiya Kande did not look at her until her cries begin to disturb her
"Come here daughter" she said opening her arms for her "it's okay, stop crying or did you want to be sick?" Deedee nodded "then stop crying" Hajiya Kande said using her hand to stroke her back. When she saw that she's not crying again she picked her up to sit beside her "daughter I want you to tell me the truth, and nothing but the truth" Hajiya Kande said in a serious tone but Hadiza couldn't bring herself to spill her husband secret
"Am sorry mummy" she said about to cry again
"I did not asked you to cry. And if you don't want to talk about it fine. But why will you come back in the middle of the night? if you know you don't want to talk or did you want to kill yourself?" Asked Hajiya Kande
"No mummy"
"Then why? Or is it because he slapped you?" She nodded "I know it's bad for a husband to raised his hand and slapped his wife because that's not the proper way a responsible husband should act. But that does not give you the license and guarantee to run back home just because of a slap. I wonder what we will be saying now if something bad had happened to you" Hajiya Kande said a bit angry with her "am seriously disappointed in you. I thought we trained you well"
"Am sorry mummy. Please forgive me I promise that such thing won't happen again"
"It's better not. And what of Nawal?"
"She's with her father"
"Because you don't have sense you left her there, or because your have an issue with your husband that why you left her there and you have the guts to spout rubbish that you don't want the child again. Ya Allah Deedee where did you get this habit from?"
"In Sha Allah, this will be the first and the last" Hadiza said in tears, it's now that she's regretting her action by leaving her only child behind just because she's blind with her anger
"Good. You can stay here for today then we will go and meet Marmie because we can't keep her in the dark"
"Mummy please don't allow marmie to know"
"Ah she have to know, you know I don't keep things away from her Cox she's the only sis I have"
"I know but please just this time around"
"That means you will be going back to Abuja this instant"
"Haba mummy,he should come and plead first" Ibrahim intervene
"Is it you am talking to or what? Ibrahim mind yourself with me this morning if not you won't like what am going to do to you this morning"
"Sorry mummy" he said grumbling before he left the parlour promising Deedee that he will take her out
"Go and rest, later we will go to Marmie place". Hadiza was about to talk but mummy did not allow her " that's it, or I asked the driver to take you back to Abuja. Choose" Hadiza knows she don't have any other option rather than to agree and go to her mother's place
Later during the day the driver drop Mummy and Deedee at Hajiya Kaltumi's house. Marmie who was busy watching film together with Gogo heard Taslim of Mummy but Hadiza was still outside. When mummy entered and notice she's not following her she called her "daughter come in" that takes Hajiya Kaltumi's attention from her sister's face to the door waiting for Hadiza to enter because she knows very well it's only Hadiza that her sister called daughter and behold the queen entered leaving Hajiya Kaltumi flabbergasted because it's not been long Hadiza went back to Abuja
"What happened? And why is she coming in together with you? Or did you both meet here?" Hajiya Kaltumi asked her sister Hajiya Kande all the questions at once
"Calm down Yaya(refers to elder), we're coming together"
"But why?"
"Long story cut short,she arrived yesterday night" thus she told her sister everything without thinking twice Hajiya Kaltumi slapped Hadiza twice which none of them in the parlour expected that
"Haba Dan Allah (why because of God), what did she do now that you will slapped her?" Hajiya Kande asked a bit angry with her sister
"Hajiya please take it easy, she have accepted her fault that why she didn't come here first because she knows you will be very angry with her" Gogo tried to calm Hajiya Kaltumi
"How will she come back that late in the night? Is she not afraid of what could have happened to her?" Hajiya Kaltumi said
"Am sorry Marmie please don't be angry with me. I beg you in the name of Allah don't be angry with me" Hadiza said crying but Hajiya Kaltumi didn't listen to her rather she stand up and went inside her room which Hadiza crawled to Gogo's place "mama help me and plead with her please" Hadiza said in tears which Gogo hug her patting her back "it's okay, she's just afraid of what might happen to you. Let her be for now before you go in and meet her. Accept your fault and plead with her" she nodded, which Gogo stand up and follow Hajiya Kaltumi to her room while Hadiza went to put her head on mummy's leg"mummy please plead with Marmie for me" Deedee said weakly
"Don't worry daughter she will come around" Mummy said using her hand to stroke her head after some minutes mummy asked her to go and plead with Marmie. At first Hadiza was reluctant until Mummy gave her the full assurance that her mother will not do anything to her before she walks in. Immediately she opened the door to her room she got on her knees and crawled to her mother's place "marmie am sorry, I promised not to do such a thing again. Please don't be angry with me Cox if you're angry with me even Allah will be angry with me and the Angels will cursed me" Deedee said weeping. Hajiya Kaltumi used her hand to show her to come over which she did and she embrace her.
"It's okay baby, am more worried about your safety, even though your not to take the risk to come back that late. But no problem the deed have already be done, but next time don't try that. The misunderstanding between you and your husband should be settled not that you will run away from it, I know it's not a good idea for a husband to beat his wife, but this is his first time and I know he regret it. So next time even if you're angry with him or something else don't take the risk of traveling late, it's not good and your a lady, please be cautious. And I will talk to your husband too, this should be the last time he raised his hand to slap you, I can tolerate anything else but I can't tolerate beating in a matrimonial home, when you're not a punching bag or fire wood. And you I won't asked what happened between you both, but I hope and pray you settle your differences. Am sure your in-laws will be worried over there now if they see Nawal" before marmie could continues the door to her room was open and behold Nawal run in to hug her mummy
"Mummy" Nawal said sniffing
"It's okay baby. Stop crying am here and am not going to leave you all alone again" Hadiza said hugging her daughter. Nawal stopped crying before she went to hug Hajiya Kaltumi
"Grandma"
"It's now that you know of grandma right?" Hajiya Kaltumi said with a frown before she smiles and hug her little angel "who did you come with?" Asked Marmie
"Uncle I" Nawal said which Hadiza and Marmie look at each other before they stand up abruptly to the parlour
"But Ibrahim how could you go and bring Nawal, am very sure you threaten Hadiza's husband to"
"For God sake Mummy, how could we leave Nawal in that idiot hand when Hadiza is here. I can't take it that's why I went to pick her up"
"With whose permission?"
"Must I asked for permission before I will go and pick my daughter, I don't think so. And Hadiza is going no where since that idiot raised his hand on her" Ibrahim scoffed
"Masu sister da daughter ko Sanu (you that have sister and daughter right, well done). Before I open my eyes and closed it take that girl back to her father's house"
"Am sorry I can't, I don't think he deserved them both, and have warned him not to step his foot in this house unless he wants me to involve AA whose decision will be worst than mine, knowing him well"
"It's not upto that son. It's okay you can leave now,i will talk to mummy" Hajiya Kaltumi intervene because she knows its Ibrahim's small work to tell AA and he being injected with soldier's injection he will do the unthinkable, it's better it's stopped between them and Ibrahim, thus Ibrahim left foaming Cox they have touch his sister (imagine oooo Ibrahim of all people that usually slapped Tehzeeb like nothing). Immediately he left Hajiya Kande face her sister
"Marmie why will you allow him to go Scott free?" Hajiya Kande asked a bit angry
"Calm down Kande. You know very well Ibrahim and AA temper are not something we would like to join together, because them both joining heads together will be like a volcano out burst, please let's just take care of the issue before they will include there father and his the worst he won't blame Hadiza till his through with that boy before he comes back to question her" Hajiya Kaltumi reasons which Hajiya Kande sighed she knows what her sister said is true
"Daughter I just hope you learn from this, because you know your father and brothers very well. There temper is not something someone will like to see. Who knows how Ibrahim threatened your husband before bringing Nawal back, I did not even know he travel"
"You think he would tell you his plan? Stop day dreaming" Marmie said before she face Deedee "and you if your husband called you, if you like don't pick and settle things because you're the only one that will quench the fire,Cox I don't think Ibrahim will allow you to go back to that house. So it's better you know what is good for you and look for the way out" Hajiya Kaltumi said
"Humm, we gave birth to them but if they behaved you will think they're our mother's and father"
"Our own is just to pray for the best"

"That's what happened" Tehzeeb said finally
"I think you should give him a chance, one can't prepare his luggages on the day his traveling, so I think you should give him a chance. Moreover there's no harm in trying"
"Have heard you. But I will still think about it"Tehzeeb sighed
"It's okay. All the best" Khady smiled looking at her. They finished there lectures and went home. Tehzeeb just arrived at home and before she could see her Umma she heard the voice she comes to detest speaking"where are they come out" he shouted like a lunatic, Umma that just finished praying look at her daughter before she walks out but Tehzeeb hold her Hijab so she couldn't go out "let me go before he cause a scene here"
"What is it?" Said Umma immediately she set her feet outside there room
"Am here to tell you that that girl is getting married" Kawu said without shame
"Since when did you become her father and who is the husband?" Umma asked with venom
"Mallam Illaro" Kawu said shortly
"Over my dead body. He can only marry her when am not alive but when am still breathing it's impossible and you that come here to bare the useless news, go back and tell him I said over my dead body and you both should not try me" Umma said as calmly as possible because people where already gathering that's rents house for you
"Is it me you're talking to like this Habiba?" Kawu said indicating himself
"And who are you? I asked who are you? Are you someone I should know or be afraid of?" Asked Umma
"I can see you have grown wings but i will soon cut it off"
"You can do nothing, it's the house you're after and it's have been given to you so please let us be" Umma said before she ambled back to there room leaving Kawu outside
"You see the reason why I said you shouldn't have gone out to meet him"
"Don't worry am ready for him and that stupid thing he said, let him continue day dreaming because such thing will not happen even if all the men's on Earth have finished" Umma said which Tehzeeb just keep quiet because she knows her mother is not in the mood to hear anything now so she decided to tell her about Bashir in the evening by then her mood would have changed
