They entered the doctor office all at once waiting for the doctor explanations. The doctor cleared his voice first "am sorry I did not have enough seat for you all but you can manage the ones I have here" he said gesturing to the chairs for them to seat which Gogo Ramatu Baba and Hajiya Kaltumi sat down "My name is Doctor Bashir and am the doctor in charge of Aisha. Well as you all know she have been raped brutally, which I don't think it's a one man job. According to what I see I think she was gang raped or let me rephrase she was raped by two or more people" Dr Bashir said which made them all gasped in shock because all there thought it's just one man's hand work
"Due to the forced penetration used on her, it's makes it difficult for us to do the stitches, which we had to stitch her five times before we could stop the bleeding and close her virginal. As we all know, Rape is a traumatic experience that impact the victim in a physical, psychological, and sociological way, even though the effect and aftermath of rape differentiate among victims, individual tends to suffer from similar things within these three categories. Rape survivors experience heightened anxiety and fear. And I think Aisha is suffering from PTSD which is post-traumatic stress disorder due to what happened to her. I will like you to please avoid anything that will trigger her and push her to having panicked attacks, becareful of what you say or do around her. "Thank you so much Dr, we really appreciate" Hajiya Kaltumi said because Gogo Ramatu was busy crying and thus they walk out of the doctor's office. After a while Gogo Ramatu stopped crying " I think you should start going now since you all have things to do. Thank you so much for the assistance you all have rendered to us"
"It's our pleasure and thanks to Tehzeeb for having the courage to help you out" Mallam Audu said before he continues " I think you should let your husband know by now because he will be worried or call one of your family members to come over" Mallam Audu said waiting for Gogo Ramatu's respond but rather they saw her in tears but she wipe it off
"My husband is late and I don't have anyone because am an orphan, my husband relatives are the reason we're like these because they did not like me even when he was alive, now that his dead they took everything away from us, even the house we leave in they chase us out" Gogo Ramatu said which a new set of tears rush down her cheek, they were all weak from what she said which no one have the courage to speak again, but Mallam Audu being the man speaks up while Tehzeeb was crying together with Gogo Ramatu
"Gogo Ramatu, don't cry and wipe your tears, no one is above trail and Allah's test. He test us when he feels like, He test us in different way from one another, this your own way he his testing you, so take heart and have faith in him. He will never forsake any of us, because he alone have the power to do and undo. You don't have a family then what, he have blessed you with another set of family, take us as you family from now on and I promise we will be there for you In Sha Allah. Let's just keep praying for the best and don't bother yourself, Aisha will be fine by his will In Sha Allah" Mallam Audu finally said, which made Gogo Ramatu to cry even more harder
"May Allah reward you in this duniya and in Janna. You have done for me everything a family could have done. Thank you" Gogo Ramatu said with tears hugging Tehzeeb. Mrs Habiba and Hajiya Kaltumi were out of words because Mallam Audu have said it all, which made Mrs Habiba to be more proud of her husband again, she couldn't have asked Allah for more apart from what he have given her. He blessed her with a righteous husband and a daughter
"Stop crying Gogo, everything will be okay"Hajiya Kaltumi finally said "I have to get going because I need to check on the mall, and the driver will bring Talatu later with lunch and she will spend some time with you before I close, so please stop crying save your tears for another time" Hajiya Kaltumi said trying her possible best to console Gogo Ramatu
"We will start going because Tehzeeb have lectures and Baba will be going to work. I will come back and check on you when I have a change of clothes, please do stop crying and pray for Aisha's well being" Mrs Habiba said
"Thank you all, I promised not to cry again" Gogo said before she turned to Tehzeeb "my daughter start going home so you won't be late for your lectures" Gogo said to Tehzeeb that was clinging to her
"Don't worry, I don't have to go today, tomorrow is there, let me be here with you so you won't be lonely and start crying again" Tehzeeb said not letting go of Gogo Ramatu
"Don't be a baby, I promise not to cry and I won't be lonely since I will go and perform wudu and pray now" Gogo Ramatu said trying to convince Tehzeeb so she could follow her parents. She knows Tehzeeb is tired but she's trying her best not to make her worry
"If you say so Mama, I will come immediately I come back from school"
"All the best, that's better than not going at all" Gogo Ramatu said smiling because she was happy to have a family she never had nor ever dream of having in her life. They bid her farewell and left. Mallam Audu was trying to get what will take them home when Hajiya Kaltumi parked in front of them
"Let me drop you off then I will go to work from there"
"Thank you so much, you have done alot but we will get a taxi to take us home, don't stress yourself" Mallam Audu respond
"No it's okay I can drop you off before going" Hajiya Kaltumi insisted
"Haba please leave it, Allah we are great ful" Mallam Audu said
"Okay then. Safe trip back home"
"Thank you" and Hajiya Kaltumi drive off before Mallam Audu could get what will take them home.
They arrived shortly at home and each and every one of them entered there room to bath and have a change of clothes. When they were through they sat down all, before Tehzeeb talks
"Baba have been paid my salary yesterday" Tehzeeb said to her father
"Mashallah dear, may Allah continue to bless you"
"Ameen. But" she kept quiet
"What happened dear? Speak to us we're your parents" Mallam Audu said
"I use part of my salary to pay the hospital bills for Aisha treatment, since the doctors didn't attend to her untill we pay" Tehzeeb answered fidgeting with her fingers. Mallam Audu draw his daughter closer to him
"It's okay dear, you have done a good thing by paying for the hospital bill. What you did is good and Allah will reward you to when you did not expect it. It's good to help those in need when you have it, don't say because you have it and your poor you can't give out, it's a bad thing. But no matter what even if it's little and you saw someone that's in need more than you help the person, we don't know what tommorow holds" Mallam Audu advice his daughter
"Thank you Baba. So what should we do with the remaining money now because I used fourty thousand to pay for the hospital bill and it's remaining fourty thousand,since my salary is eighty thousand naira" Tehzeeb explained to her parents
"It's okay dear. Do whatever you want with it" Mallam Audu reply
"Umma what did you think?" Tehzeeb asked her mother
"My dear anything you wish to do with the money is okay, in as much as your spending it on a good way" Umma respond with a smile
"Okay, Baba let's pay Mallam Ilaro the remaing money you will give him" Tehzeeb said to her father
"Worry not my dear, I have paid him the remaining balance when you left for work. So don't worry about it again" Mallam Audu smile to his daughter
"Okay, I know what to do with the money now" Tehzeeb said happily
"And what's that?" Both Mallam Audu and Mrs Habiba asked there daughter at the same time
"Don't worry it's a surprise" Tehzeeb replies. They were about to talk when someone barge in into there home. They all turn to look at the door to see who is the I'll mannered person to walk into some else compound like that. They all were surprised to see the person.
"Ka.." Tehzeeb was about to say when the person raised his hand up a gesture for her to keep her greetings to herself
"Keep it to yourself, am not here to chit chat or listen to all your greatings. Audu are you going to keep your daughter at home like these and continue looking at her when all her age mates are in there husband house?" The person said. Mallam Audu was about to respond but he gave no room for that "am here to tell you that she should bring a suitor or I will find one for her, since you can not talk to your daughter because of your wife have tied you around her finger tips, toh she have not tied us and we will talk. I give her from now till one month coming, she should bring a suitor and if by then she don't have a suitor I will provide one" The person said and left leaving all of them speechless
