Chapter 95: Chapter 95
Chapter 96
[He shattered it all]
“You know… I met him first. I met him…” She hiccupped. He patted her shoulders.
“Calm down. I am here.” He whispered. They were both hurting.
She soon released from the hug and sniffed in. She dabbed the tears off.
“I first met him that day. He was in a fatal accident. I had to give him my blood at the hospital. Yet, he did not recognize me. I felt heartbroken. I gave him sometime thinking he would remember me but I was wrong.” She said and released a deep breath.
“Accident?” Jake asked with an arched eyebrow. She nodded positively.
“I don't remember Jayson getting into an accident like that.” He said. She looked up to him and stopped walking.
“W-what do you mean by that?” She asked.
“Jayson and I have together for so long to know he has not been involved in any major accident.” Jake explained. Confusion crossed her face as she heard this.
“B-But I saw him. It was him. He had that oceanic blue eyes.” She said with her hands slowly shaking. She was clearly hyperventilating. He held her hands with one hand, it was quite cold while his hand was warm and cupped her face with the other.
“It is alright. I am here for you. Whether it is him or not, it's alright. Whether he loves you or not, I…” The words cut up in his throat. He swallowed down the words as he stared at her grey eyes. Then slowly, their face inched closer. Their lips stretching in anticipation of what was going to happen. Jake's eyes closed as he took her lips into his, intertwined and they kissed. Ellie had her eyes open for few seconds before closing it slowly as she savored his taste and the emotions sync.
Then they slowly pulled apart. “Because I love you.” He said quietly and she gasped in surprise.
“Yes… I know that it is wrong. But I have always loved you. I am sorry, I just did not realize it earlier. I really love you, Ellie Williams.” He said with apologetic look. She stared into his eyes and saw he was sincere with his confession.
Her lips curved into a smile slowly. “I love you too, Jake Wellington.” She said in reply.
He stared at her with shock written all over his face.
“But…”
“I am tired. I am… just tired. I am tired of fighting for what was never mine. I just want to live my life. I need happiness. And you are the one who brings it to me. What else do I want apart from the person who has always stood up for me, who when was weak became strong for me, who was always there to tease me when I am down. Tell me, what should I do for that person? You are my source of happiness and joy. I have always and always known it. I am really sorry for being a bad friend.” She started crying again. He cupped her face with his palms. “Ellie, it's nothing.”
“No! It is something. You have always helped. You know, I was a B+ student but now I upgraded to A, you are one in a million to me and I will never trade you for anything. I am sorry. I am so sorry that as your friend I did not know you were going through such. I am deeply sorry.” She sobbed out and pulled him into a hug. He smiled sadly and held her tightly.
“I love you too, Jake Wellington.” She said even more clearly. His sad smile slowly brightened.
Jake has always been the first to do each and everything she had always thought someone close to her will do.
From defending her, to believing in her. Then to taking her first kiss.
She blushed slightly as she thought about it.
They soon pulled away from the hug and started walking down the street in silence. The silence even made it more awkward.
“I live here.” She pointed to the gate of her parents mansion. He was marveled at how huge the mansion was.
“Your parents must be one hell of a rich person.” He mused. She smiled and hugged him again.
“See you and have a good night.” She said and before Ellie could turn around. He pulled her in for a kiss which she obliged to with a small smile.
“Good night.” He wished her as he walked away. She waved at him and walked into their compound.
This night was one hell of a night.
**
Ellie fastened her footsteps as she walked towards the door. She yawned sleepily and cleaned her face. She twisted the door knob and came face to face with a raging monster. No, scratch that. Raging human. No, scratch that again. Raging Elsa.
Her mother was trying to plead with her to calm down but she was not having any of it.
“You ought not to have come back.” She heard Elsa sneer at her. She furrowed her eyebrows and took slow, bold steps towards her. She had actually thought of ignoring her.
“How could you, Ellie?!” She yelled at her. Ellie stopped immediately as she heard it.
“How could I do what?” Ellie asked.
Elsa let out a dry laughter.
“Ellie, I know you have always had this stupid infatuative love for Jayson but at least, you could have had some shame and dignity. He asked me out and you went. You should have told him you wanted to see him and at least you should not have impersonated me.” Elsa scowled at her. Ellie breathed out deeply.
“Elsa.” She called out silently.
“I know I have always had that stupid love for Jayson but you insulting me this way is unacceptable.” Ellie said with a calm voice.
“I have watched you take our parents' love away from me, take our granny's love away from me. But I am still trying to make sure you don’t take this real parents of ours away from me and here you are acting like you are the only child. Elsa, let me tell you the truth. You are selfish, egocentric, attention-seeker, a pretender and you are heartless. You tend to put me in the dark while you shine over in the light. Now listen to me carefully, I now have a boyfriend who cares for me, who did not take a bet to date and have s*x with me. So you can keep him, Ohh, or rather them to yourself and fvck with them.” She yelled at her.
“Listen carefully to what I am about to say. It will the first and the last time I will ever say and it will always be so forever.” Her mother stared at them with worry. Their relationship seemed broken without repair. She was really scared for her twins and more so for her mental health.
Then suddenly, the door creaked open and their dad entered.
“I REGRET BEING YOUR TWIN SISTER. I HATE YOU ELSA!!!” Ellie screamed at her and ran upstairs with tears brimming her face.
“Ellie!!” Her mother yelled after her.
