Chapter 66: Chapter 66
Tessy said and chuckled. Shawna could feel her heart in her throat already.
“Got you.” She grinned and ran towards Shawna. Shawna exhaled deeply and hit Tessy playfully on her shoulder. Like she scared the shit out of her.
“Gosh. You scared me.” She said, holding her chest as she tried to regulate her breath.
“Gosh, you were so scared. But you are really heartless. Like you did something like that and did not let me know. And also, you should have at least let her write like maybe five to six papers first but you decided to do it the first day. You are such a bad girl.” Tessy said, grinning.
“Actually, to be honest, it was not Ellie I wanted to implicate, it was actually that stupid and egocentric sister of hers.” Shawna uttered spitefully.
“Whatever. At least one of them had to take the bait.” Tessy said and they both laughed.
“Seems like someone’s bad luck is worth celebrating over.” A voice said and they both stopped what they were saying and turned to look at the person. They scoffed and relaxed a bit when they saw it was Crystal.
“And were you told that we were the one responsible for her misfortune?” Shawna asked with a raised eyebrow.
“And to add, so we can’t laugh again.” Tessy added.
Crystal walked closer to them and said.“ Shawna, why will you do something like that?”
“And how come you are so sure that Shawna was the one that did it?” Tessy asked and raised her eyebrows.
Crystal chuckled and said, “ I don’t need evidence to know the fact.”
“Well, let me burst that big bubble of yours, I did not do it. Do your worst.” Shawna said and scoffed, she clapped her hands and stepped forward.
“Well, I guess your target was not Ellie but Elsa. Unfortunately for Ellie, she took the bait.” Crystal said sadly.
“Look here, babe. I did not do it. Got it?” Shawna said in a clear tone.
“Shawna. Your obsession is getting the best of you and it is getting in the way of your thinking. It is getting to your brain, hope you realize soon.” Crystal said and turned to leave then she stopped.
“You got what you wanted.” She said and left.
“I did not.” Shawna shouted after her.
“She did not.” Tessy yelled also and they both burst out laughing.
“Snake. That is what you are.” A masculine voice spat. They both stiffened because the voice did not sound as friendly as the others sounded and as familiar as the earlier ones.
“You should thank your stars that Elsa was not dragged into this or affected. If not… you would have been the one crying and begging in the principal’s office.” Christian seethed.
“See who is here. It is Christian. Elsa’s ex-boyfriend and… yes, Elsa’s secret protector.” Shawna said after coming out of their little shock zone. He narrowed his eyes on her and tilted his neck to a side a bit.
“Let me make this clear to you, Christian –“ she poked his chest with her index finger. He looked down and pushed her fingers off him. “- I won’t get intimidated by you. I asked you if you wanted to get your girlfriend back, you refused at first then you agreed later on and then again you backed out. Tell me, what is the color of your problem?” She asked and shook her head.
He smirked and said, “If I want to get her back, I won’t use such manipulative ways. But you… what should I say about yours?” He pretended to be thinking.
“oh yeah, now I remember. He.. he does not even look at you nor smile at you. To crown it all, he ignores you and does not want to see that face of yours that full of make-up.” He said with spite, rounding his index over her face. She looked away and scoffed.
“Hey, Christian…” he raised his hand, shunning Tessy.
“Stay within your limit, minion.” He spat.
“You…”
“Let me tell you something, don’t you ever think of doing something like this Elsa. If you think of it or even dream about it, get ready to get expelled.” He threatened and walked away from them without letting them talk.
“Who does he think he is?” Tessy scoffed.

Crystal saw Jake and Ellie seated inside the café. Jake was passing food to Ellie. She seemed to beam a little smile and collected it. She stopped and exhaled deeply. She needs to get a hold of herself and maintain a good posture. After she was sure that she could move, she forced a smile and nodded. She walked towards the café and went in. There were few students there. She looked around and saw their table. She went to meet them.
“Jake.” She called out as she pulled chair out and sat down. Jake nodded his head as he drank water. Ellie looked up and sighed.
“Crystal.” Ellie acknowledged her presence.
“Ellie, so, how are you feeling?” she asked as she held her hands in her palms. They were cold. Elle smiled and said, “I’m fine. Stop making it look like I am sick or my boyfriend just broke up with me.” She teased and Crystal smiled at her.
“So, what did the principal say?, like are you getting suspended or…” She asked.
“She is not getting or suspended.” Jake cut her off.
“Oh, that’s good. But…” she trailed off.
“I will be writing separately. The principal said they were going to prepare another time table for me. I will be writing in a room with maximum supervision.” Ellie explained.
“Oh, okay.” Crystal pursed her lips.
“Hey, don’t make me look pitiful.” Ellie said and pouted her lips.
Crystal laughed and hit her playfully, “C’mon, cheer up, baby.”
Ellie chuckled. At least she had someone who is always there to make her happy whenever she’s sad. For the first time, she had someone who believed and stood up for her. She smiled and looked Jake and Crystal, she was definitely not going to trade them for anything.
“We are going to make sure that you pass.” Crystal said and made a gesture that someone makes whenever they win or score a goal.
“Gosh, it is 6:30 PM already. We have biology practical tomorrow. Gotta go prepare.” Crystal said and hurriedly stood up.
“Good night.” Ellie yelled after her. She waved her hands at her without looking back.
