Chapter 52: Chapter 52

**Evening**

“We will be taking a total of 75 students.” The principal said and disappointment crossed the faces of the students.

They had been called to the announcement hall in order tell them about the fun fair they would be going for.

“But that does not mean that the students here won't have anything doing.” He said.

“They would be free for the week. They will also engage in lively activities. We are only going out of the school premises for some time to celebrate our win and also to help relieve to some examination fevers.” He explained.

“Students that will be going will be called, understood?” He asked.

“Yes, Sir.” They replied.

“Good.” He said.

“You can leave.” He said and they all walked out.

“Elsa, where have you been?” Ellie asked her sister as soon as she entered their room. She ran towards her and held her hands.

“I was summoned by the principal and guess what? I was chosen as part of the people that will be going.” She said and Ellie's hands that were on her dropped.

“Really?” She asked.

“Yes.” Elsa said and moved away from her.

“Oh, okay.” Ellie said, obviously unhappy.

“Ellie, I know you want to go. I also don’t want to go but what can we do?” Elsa asked.

“It’s okay.” Ellie said.

“I will just stay here and study more, I guess.” She said with a sad face. Elsa sighed and stretched out.

“Eaten already?” She asked.

“Yeah.” Ellie simply replied.

“I will be in the bathroom.” Elsa said and went into the bathroom.

“Of course. You will be the one to go. Not like I am as lucky as you are when it comes to dealing with people.” Ellie thought and a tear rolled down her eyes. She is the type that loves anything that has fun. She is carefree. But then guess fate is so unfair to always favor her sister at everything.

She slumped on the bed.

“Don’t tell me you were not chosen?” Jayson asked Jake.

“Nope, I wasn’t.” Jake said.

“Why?” Jayson asked, not liking the idea of only him going with the crowd.

“Not like I wanted to go anyways.” Jake shrugged.

“Really?” Jayson asked.

“Yeah.” Jake said and laid on the bed.

Jayson stared at him.

“I hope that I get someone who I know. Not some girls.” Jayson thought aloud. Jake smirked.

“Guess you will be surrounded by them.” Jake said.

“Oh, please.”

“So you mean you were chosen?” Betty asked.

“Why wasn't I chosen?” Tessy lamented. Crystal smiled at her and looked away.

“Guess only Shawna and Crystal will be going then?” Betty said.

“Yeah. I have to go prepare since we will be leaving early tomorrow.” Crystal said and left them.

“But I really want to go.” Tessy cried.

**Next Morning**

“Hope you have seen your partner?” The vice principal asked.

Some nodded while some moved around in search of their partner that was paired with them.

Jayson stood with hands in his pockets. He was waiting for his partner to come meet him.

“Who is number 12?” He heard someone asked.

He looked at his barge and saw that was his number.

“Here I am.” He announced. Elsa stopped talking and looked at him.

“You are number twelve?” She asked with an eyebrow raised.

“Yeah.” He said and rolled his eyes.

“Okay then. Guess I have no choice than to stick with you.” She said and walked over to him.

Christian stood there with his partner.

Why wasn’t she paired with him?

He looked at how they stood together. He scoffed out angrily.

Shawna stood with Crystal. They were paired together but her eyes were on a set of persons.

She was thinking that she would be paired with Jayson. But it seems like her sins were unforgivable that her enemy, as she would like to call her got paired with him. Her insides were boiling in anger as she stared at them.

“Get into the bus.” They all heard. They quickly walked and hopped into it. There were three buses that will be taking them there.

It was just a place for fun. Pulling up tents and being in the forest, exploring all. They have made arrangements for the students safety. It was going to be a wide and adventurous week.

The other students who were not opportuned to go were still having their large intake of sleep and rest.

The drivers ignited the bus engine and soon the drove off.

“Elsa.” Ellie called out. She had just woken up. She yawned and stretched. When she got no reply. She looked at Elsa's bed and saw well-laid.

“Gone already?” She thought.

She scoffed and went to do her daily activities before hopping out of her room.

Jake was jogging around as he did not go with the other people. Then he saw Ellie coming out of their dorm. At first, he thought it was her sister, Elsa but then he looked at the way with which she walked and he instantly recognized her.

He smiled and jogged over to her.

“Ellie.” He called out.

She stopped and turned towards him.

“Jake.” She called out surprised.

“You did not go with them?” She asked.

“Nope, I didn’t. Not like I wanted to go.” He said shrugging.

“Oh.” Was all Ellie said.

“So where were you about to go?” He asked.

“Café and after I will go to the library.” She said.

“Meet you at the café then. We will study together after that. Is that okay by you?” He asked. She thought about it for a while and nodded in approval.

“Okay, it’s a deal.” He said smiling. She nodded and walked off.

Her cheeks were blowing hot. He smiled happily.

“Thank goodness, she did not go.” He thought.

“So you were not chosen to go?” Aria asked her roommate, Maureen.

“Yes, I wasn’t.” Maureen said.

“But I thought you said..”

“I am sure I will be chosen.” She mimicked her. Maureen scoffed and continued combing her hair.

“I need to go out. Hungry right now.” She said.

“At least wait for me.” Maureen said.

“I am really hungry. Meet me there, please.” She said and exited the room.

As she got outside her dormitory. She saw Jake and Ellie talking. She stared at them and after Jake walked away, she increased her pace and literally ran towards Ellie.

“Ellie.” She called and Ellie stopped walking.
