Chapter 31: Chapter 31

“Good morning, granny.” Elsa said as she came downstairs.

“Good morning, my child, how was your night?” She asked her.

“I slept like a baby.” Elsa said and smiled.

“Really?” She asked playfully.

“Yes, what should I help you with?’ She asked as she scanned the whole place.

“I am actually done with cooking the food, all it remains is washing the dishes.” She said.

“Okay then, I will help you.” Elsa said.

“And where is that sleepy head?” She asked.

“As you said, sleepy head, she is obviously still asleep.” She said and chuckled.

“Good morning, granny.” Ellie muttered as she took slow strides down the stairs.

“And here she comes.” Elsa said cleaning the plates.

“Good morning my baby, how was your night?” She asked.

“I had the best sleep ever.” She said stretching out.

“Hmm, what is smelling so good?” She said and sniffed in the aroma.

“Pasta and sauce.” She yelled realizing the food. Their granny just smiled at her silly behavior.

“Oh, grandma, how did you know that this was what I wanted to eat this morning?” She asked as she took a plate beside Elsa and some fork.

“Hey, missy, have you taken your bath yet?” She asked and the fork in Ellie's hand fell.

“Nope.”

“Now!” She ordered while Elsa chuckled. Ellie muttered incoherently as she walked upstairs, “don't eat it finish.”

“Sure.” Elsa yelled back and laughed along with their granny.

“So silly.”

**

“Bye, granny.” Elsa yelled as she exited the house.

“Bye.” Her granny said in return.

“And where is Elsa?” Ellie asked as she walked down the stairs.

“She went to meet her boss.” Her granny said.

“Oh, okay then.” Ellie said packing her into a ponytail.

“Food?” Ellie asked.

“On the dining table.” Her granny said. Ellie smiled and walked over to the place.

“So yummy.”

“I have told you several I am not…” The boy that was talking kept shut because he was lost at staring at someone.

“Wait, is that not your girlfriend?” The boy asked Christian. Christian looked up and saw his girlfriend or rather ex-girlfriend. He smirked and left the guy. He ran towards her.

“Hey, Elsa.” He called as he ran towards her.

She stopped suddenly hearing the voice of the person. She swallowed dryly and her nose started twitching in anger.

She turned around and looked at him. “And what do you want?” She spat.

“I never knew you were back.” He said.

“I guess that is none of your worries.” She said and he smirked at her behavior.

“Even though we are no longer seeing each other, that does not mean we should not be friends.” He said.

“I have said it and I will say it again, leave me the fvck alone.” She said and brushed her hair back. She walked and he followed, she stopped and looked at him. She walked again and he followed.

“What exactly do you want?” She asked.

He smiled and left her. She narrowed her eyes on him not getting any of what had just happened.

“Oh, man, you really got her.” The guy said to Christian as he came to sit beside him. Christian smirked and looked at her from far away.

“There is a surprise awaiting her.” He said and smiled.

“I must say you are quite mischievous.” The guy said. He looked at the guy and smiled.

“I had better go home, my mom will be so worried.” He said dusting off his jeans and left. He got into his car and drove off.

“Oh my gosh, who is this?” Claire, Elsa's friend, said pulling off her glasses.

“Hey, babe.” Elsa said.

“What of boss?” She asked.

“Inside his office.” Claire replied back.

“Okay then, I will go see him.” She said and went to the office.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

“Come in.” His masculine voice said.

“Good day, sir.” Elsa said and smiled.

“See who's here?” He said smiling. Elsa was one of his favorites workers. She smiled.

**

“Why did you fight?” Jake asked as he took a seat beside Jayson.

“Planning my life for me.” He said while Jake smiled at him.

“This old people always look for ways to poke their way into our business.” Jake said. Jayson hissed.

“Don't be moody, let's go out for a stroll.” Jake said as he stood up.

“I think you need to clean up first because you stink.” Jayson said. Jake rolled eyes at him and left for his room.

“And where should we go?” Jake asked as they got to the garage.

“Anywhere.” Jayson shrugged.

They got into the car and took Jake ignited the car engine and drove off. Jayson turned on the audio player and soon after it started blasting with ‘someone you loved' by Lewis Capadi.

“I need somebody to heal…” They both sang along with the singer. The both of them are not fans of rough kind of songs. They are gentlemen who needed relaxing and heart touching songs that could easily move along with emotions. The both of them seem to have the same emotions flowing through but deep down inside of them, they know they were passing through something different each.

Jake having single mother and someone who travels all the time without care and supervision, that was the main reason, she sent him to Shining stars high, since it is a boarding school. While Jayson having to do everything his parents wants, growing according to their plans, not having a say in decisions concerning his own future. He was getting frustrated. All people saw in him was the sole heir to his father's properties, they did not see the Jayson that wanted to be free. But all thanks to them, he stayed humble.

“Hey look at that low-key restaurant, let's go have a drink there.” Jake said.

“Restaurant?” Jayson asked as he was brought out of his thoughts.

“Yeah, that is it over there.” Jake said pointing to the direction with one hand in the steering wheel and the other pointing. He drove right in front of the place and they got down from the car. Jake locked the car and they both went in.

“Welcome to our restaurant.” A voice said in a sing-song tone. They both chuckled lightly and went to take a seat.

“How may I help you?” The feminine voice said.

“This voice sounds familiar.” Jayson thought and looked up.

“Elsa?”
