Chapter 18: Chapter 18

Chapter 18

[Finally Did It Together]

“She said that you should come instead.” The female student said to him.

“What?” He shouted.

“She had the guts to tell me to come?” Jayson said while the rest of the boys laughed at his reaction.

“Boy, go.” Jake said.

Jayson sighed and nodded his head.

*

“Julia.” Was that first word he uttered as soon as the door was opened.

“What are you doing here?” He asked.

“Hey, leave me alone.” He heard from the inside. He pushed the door wide open and went in.

Ellie and Elsa smelt a different kind of perfume present in their room. They both looked up and saw Jayson standing with his hands in his pockets.

Ellie stood up from her sister. He stared at the both of them. Taking in how they looked before they know it, he smirked.

“Take a look at how you look like, the both of you.” He said and they turned towards the mirror.

Scattered hair, obvious signs of fingers on each other face and teeth bite shape on their arms each.

They turned towards him and looked at him.

“Have you forgotten that this is a girl's room?” Elsa asked.

“Girl's room?” Ellie asked. Elsa turned towards her and furrowed her eyebrows in question. All Jayson did was stare at them.

“Girl's room or girls' room?” Ellie asked emphasising the word ‘girls’.

“We are two that are staying in this room.” Ellie clarified. Jayson and Elsa shook their heads at her.

“I will be waiting outside.” Jayson said and turned towards the door. He suddenly stopped and looked at his right, he looked at Julia and exited the room. Julia gulped dryly and looked at the twins.

“Gosh, see how you look in front of your long time crush.” Julia said and started laughing.

“Keep quiet.” Ellie said while Elsa went ahead to fix her hair and clean the slight injuries on her arms.

“Is this how you fight?” Julia asked.

“Yeah.” They said.

“So dangerous.” Julia said and sat on the bed.

“I will leaving now, bye.” Elsa said and exited the room.

Julia looked at Ellie and started laughing all over again.

***

“Thought you wanted to spend the entire time in the room.” Jayson said while she scoffed.

“We are partners and nothing else, get that?” Elsa said spitefully.

“You off all people should know that boys are not allowed in any of the girls dorm.” Jayson said. Elsa looked at him not getting what he meant.

“I mean I sent a female junior to come fetch you and all you do is to send her back to saying I should come instead?” He asked.

“Like gosh, you are way too egocentric if no one has ever told you that before.” Jayson said.

“Thank you for the observation.” She said and hissed.

“Gosh, why are you so rude?” Jayson asked.

“Can we please walk faster as it is getting too dark?” Elsa said ignoring his question.

“And wait, where are we going to do the practical?” She asked.

He stopped on his tracks and turned back to look at her.

“I must say you have got a dirty mind.” He said. “What makes you think that I will take you to my dorm?”

“Who knows.” She simply said.

He shook his head and started walking towards the library block.

“I already taken permission from the librarian.” He said.

“You want us to do a practical in the library? Are you out of your senses?” She asked.

“It is not actually a library, we just call it that.” He said and hissed.

“Just a free place where we sometimes sit to read not people hardly go there since it is quite far and there are places that are close enough.” He explained. He was not someone of many words but this girl is just way too annoying that he has to explain each and every details to her.

**

“Where is your report sheet?” Jayson asked Elsa after he had finished preparing the things they would use for the practical.

“Right here.” She said and brought it out.

“I will measure and call out the digits while you write them down, okay?” He said.

“Yes.” She agreed. He started mixing chemicals and measured them. He called out the figures while she write them down.

“And we are done.” He said as he stretched his bones out.

“Let me take a look at the report.” He said and collected it from her. He went through them with his eyes and smiled satisfactorily.

“High five.” He said bringing his palm forward to touch hers. She looked at him and hissed.

“When you are done with writing yours down, kindly pass it to me in the class tomorrow.” She said and packed her things.

“Bye.” She said curtly and left him there with mouth agape and hands hung in the air.

He brought his hands down and sighed.

“Even the slightest of the person he wanted to befriend so bad is ignoring him.” He thought.

He packed the things he used and placed them gently in to a box and carried it. She could have waited to help him with this things but she left him to his fate.

Taking slow strides towards the store room. He put the key right into the door hole and it clicked open. He kicked it open with his legs and went in.

“Who is there?” He heard someone ask.

“Jayson Smith.” He replied.

“Oh, it is you.” The store keeper said.

“Yes, came to return the things I took earlier.” Jayson said.

“Done already?” The store keeper asked.

“Yeah.” He nodded.

“Okay, then bye.” The store keeper said and collected the keys from him.

“Good night.” Jayson said.

**

“Back so quick?” Ellie said as soon as she entered the room.

“Where did you go to?” Elsa asked.

“Dinner.” Ellie simply replied.

“Huh.” Elsa scoffed.

“You missed dinner today again.” Ellie said.

“Will eat tomorrow.” Elsa said.

“And how did it go?” Ellie asked.

“What?” Elsa asked.

“The practical of course.” Ellie said.

“We did it well.” Elsa said and stood up.

“We are still talking here.” Ellie said as she watched go into the bathroom.

“I don’t know what is always wrong with her whenever we are talking she will be forming proud.” Ellie snorted and laid down on the bed.

“Gosh, I am so tired.” She said and soon after dozed off.

Elsa came out and climbed on the bed too. She yawned and slept off.
