TAKEN fifty three

Rose wouldn't refuse a party like this, especially one to support her friend's progress. It was a small dinner party with strict invitations to family and friends, but Rose had so much purpose to be here than that. For whoever's information, she brought the party idea to Stella..After she saw her friend horribly crying at her place telling her about Marcus new plan to get rid of her so he could marry pregnant Jenifer in the house. Rose had immediately brought all these idea and she would support her friend through all this.

Flora had help Stella set up, she has no choice anyways. Marcus had been going to work to cool himself down. But, he was home early for the party too. Stella made him promise he would attend.

They all sat down at the decorated dining with food and wine on their table. Rose was the first to get up.

"Let's make a toast to a new life for my friend and Marcus"she raised her glass up

"No. not yet"Stella cuts in. "Just one more guest and that's all"she said. Marcus turned to her and rolled his eyes. He didn't know any other person that should be present that wasn't here. So what was Stella talking about. Was mum here? Did she plead for mum's presence.

"You didn't tell us someone else was coming",Allen cut in.

"She's also very important Allen, she- oh here she comes"Stella said immediately she saw Jenifer at the door. Everyone turned to look at the guest coming in and Marcus could  not help but express the shock on his face. Why was Jenifer here. Why was it Stella that invited her.

"Welcome Jenifer, sorry for the trouble. I just thought it would be nice if me to invite my husband's friend"Stella grinned forcefully at her. She exchange a take smile too as she followed Stella behind."Kept this seat for you. We were just about to start"she pulled out a seat for her. "Be careful"she said slightly holding Jenifer's tummy. Jenifer turns to look at her with suspicion. This was the same heartbroken and angry woman that was at her place. What changed?.  Is she trying to get her on her side?

It wasn't just the victims that felt the tension in the air. Allen and Flora wondered what was going on too. They could see too much signals from Rose and Stella mad Marcus wasn't comfortable too. They knew it would be nothing less than Stella's whole idea. But whatever she was up to. They promised not to interfere.

"Can we make the toast now?"Rose asked hitting her wedding ring softly on the glass for attention. They all raised their cups as the hit them together and took a sip.

Except Jenifer.

Marcus lock eyes with her. One would know that she was not happy with the reunion he was having and that would have caused her not to take the drink. He could still see the hurt in her eyes. He hated that he hurt her this much but he needed to stand on his words and gain his ground. He needed to make a solid decision about his future. He needed certainty and not probability. He even really need done time alone.

"You won't be taking your drink?"Allen asked, noticing Jenifer's refusal. Stella's heaved a sigh of relief at that question, she didn't know how she would ask herself or everyone would be very suspicious. She just needed Jenifer to take a sip from the drink and that was all. This party was supposed to be her lucky moment. She was supposed to be finally free from her troubles, have a new life with Marcus and he wouldn't have to think about Jenifer or the baby. Well that's because they wouldn't exist after she sips her drink. But she wasn't doing any of it. The food was safe, but she wasn't eating any of it too. She had nodded negatively to Allens question and it felt like she was deliberately doing it. Why was she here then? Why did she accept the invite. What she really here to watch she and Marcus make up even with the baby in her.

No. She didn't think so.

"Thank you all for coming tonight"Stella stood to her feet "This party was organized to apologise for my mis deed and to ask Marcus to accept me back. I successfully aborted my pregnancy earlier today and I promised Marcus nothing else will come between us. once again. I'm sorry Marcus"she said looking sincere

Rose was the first to give a thunderous ckap before other joins. After all, done Morales are needed from the organizer as well.

"Let's hear few words from Marcus"Rose said, not stopping the agenda of the party.

"There's really nothing to say". Marcus said immediately. "It was a nice party Stella"he said and then moved out of his seat and walked outside the house. The table was silent. All short of words. Stella laughs nervously to cheer the mood "I'm glad he likes it"she replied with hurtful fake smiles

"Can I see you for a minute?"Rose signalled to Stella, as they both walk away from the living room.

"I would leave too"She said to Allen and Flora as she stands up and go.

Flora turned to Allen and kisses his cheeks. "We are getting away from these Allen. All suspicion has been totally diverted"she said with a smile. He smiled too and kisses her back.

*It wouldn't be possible without you. I never thought would scale through this. Kind of like a twist. I should have been dead by now"he chuckled. "Hey, I can start arranging the tickets now"

"Yeah. about that"Flora's mood changes. "I.. Yvonne. I'll be going over to her place"

Allen's jaw dropped, he wasn't expecting that Flora was finally going to choose Yvonne over him. After all her help. Can someone just be that extra nice?

"You're choosing Yvonne?"his voice broke

"Haha" Flora burst out laughing. "Look at your face Allen. Aw. You're so sweet" she teased his cheek and continued laughing. "I'm sorry it was a joke"

"Don't play with me"Allen warned. His heart really skipped. He didn't know what he would do without her help. What if things with Stella bounce back in the future. He needed Flora. He wanted Flora by his side. Issues or not.

Stella mad Rose wait in Stella's room lamenting on their failure of getting rid of Jenifer.

"Your problems might just continue Stella,I have no other plans anymore" Rose said.

Stella gulped down her spit as she groaned out loud. "We still have to kill her Rose. Think of something, she needs to get rid of her baby!"She was full of anger, why was everything not working out. Was she that terrible for God to support?.

First she was caught cheating, her partner Allen was not caught. Then she was traced to her past and still Spencer was forgiven by Marcus, She tried aborting and he didn't even stop her. No he also had someone else, carrying his baby? How was it possible for her to live with all this trouble. Jenifer or her baby has to die!

"How about you invite her again? Not in this house though"

"Do you think she would come? I mean she already suspects us"

"She looks like she's so interested in your husband. And now she thinks your own baby is gone too. Just tell her you need to cut a deal with her about Marcus since you cannot do anything about her pregnancy. She would definitely come" Rose said with a smile.

"Gosh, how can you be so smart!"Stella laughed.

"I don't even try" Rose replied and they both laugh hysterically.

Jenifer and Marcus stood staring into thin air as none of them said a word to each other. She had joined him few minutes ago and they still hadn't said a word. Jenifer knew Marcus wanted to ask a lot of questions about her presence here, but she wasn't going to just assume. She was going to let him say something before she leaves.

"You shouldn't have come"Marcus broke the silence and then turned to look at her, when she did the same he took his face away.

"You broke up with me and started a new family with your wife. I should be happy for you" she said but it didn't sound like she was.

"I just want to be alone, away from everyone. I've got too much shock and tension in my head. It's a lot to handle you know" he said and gave a huge sigh.

"You can relief you stress with me Marcus, like you have always done. Your wife is still in pain, but I'm not" That sounded very seductive in his ears and he would definitely fall for it if he wasn't so determined about abstaining from women problems.

"Thanks for the offer. I'll pass"he replied her and they both went silent again. Jenifer was looking for what she could say. She didn't think she would be able to get him back if he's so serious about this. He deserved better than a woman pregnant for someone else.

"Stella was at my place yesterday. She knows about us" Jenifer announced.

Shock was written all over Marcus face as he turned to Jenifer and raised his brows. She must be kidding right. How would Stella know about them and still invite them. If Stella does know about them, he was guilty too and had no reason to be upset with her. How come she knew. Why did Jenifer clear her doubt!

"And you told her it was true?" Marcus was infuriated

"I lied at first, but she was pestering me about it. I had to open up. It looked like we were gonna have a huge fight. I really had no choice"

"Stella would never be this quiet if she knows about us!"

"Maybe she has other plans. I'm very serious. She was at my place yesterday!"

Sweat gripped Marcus. Stella would truly have other plans. And Rose was here too? What if they both knew about it. They wouldn't hesitate to make a scene and force him to forgive her. He needed to play smart and handle everything with levity, like he should have done from the onset

"Just be careful with her" Marcus said. All his nerves told him his wife wouldn't be this patient if she didn't have other plans. If truly Stella knows about it then it is either a call to blackmail.

"Oh my. I thought you left" Stella burst out of the house as she approached them. "Thank you for coming Jenifer" she gives her a hug. "Marcus and I are really honoured" she loves to stay with Marcus and gave Jenifer a smile.

"I would take my leave now" Jenifer said as she walk out on the couple. Stella turns to Marcus and kisses him on the cheek. With what he just heard from Jenifer, he didn't think that kiss was genuine. It literally meant something.
