Chapter 14: Chapter 14

Mondays in Nigeria is one of the most hated days of the week. Most people don't even smile on Mondays knowing they have to resume another stress-filled week while struggling to beat Monday morning traffic after having a relaxed filled and cosy weekend with the family. The idea of abandoning it for work can be quite frustrating. Most kids even come up with a fake illness just to avoid school.

Every other person out there is either heading to work or school but the reverse is the case here, I am here in the living room trapped with Alex who was clad in a pair of joggers.

"What do we do today now that the business deal is off?" I munched on my toast bread and took a sip from my hot chocolate.

"What do you think?" Alex walked towards the dining table to have his share of his breakfast.

"I don't know, you are the boss," I shrugged and stared at the crazy statics of people that have lost their lives to covid-19 in the television.

"And you are the assistant to the boss, so c'mon." He winked at me. "Spill."

"Well, I feel like since we don't have anything to do and we are in a new city, we should do what any other person on vacation usually do."

"Nice, where do you have in mind?" His brown eyes pierced my soul. I could get lost in his eyes.

"About that, I will leave that for you to answer." I stirred my tea and took another sip.

"Okay, there is this new club a friend of mine just started and he has been inviting me for long." He rested his jaw on his hand.

"And?"

"And, I feel we should check the place out tonight."

"Do you really think there is coronavirus in this country?" I nudged my head at him.

"I don't think so, as a matter of fact, the government are only using it as an excuse to embezzle money." His voice trailed off as he stared at the television.

"So are you saying there is no covid-19 in the country?" I tilted my head to a side.

"I never said there is no virus, I only said it is not as serious as they making it seem. They  collected money from the united nations and squandered it on themselves and their family." He paused to take a bite of his toast, making a crunchy noise.

"What annoys me the most is the fact that they just accumulated the death rate with people that had no trace of the virus in their system before dying. It is sad, to be honest." I gave an exacerbated sigh.

"Just stop stressing yourself about this country, she is not worth dying for." Alex touched my palm and urged me to eat on.

The dining table is exquisite. The walls are covered with a shimmering gold paper and in the middle of the ceiling above, the centre of the table is decorated in a Celtic design woven in gold and green fabric itself. And on the table, there are toast bread, omelettes, watermelons and grapes, tea, and waffles.

"So, what are your hobbies, Tife?"

"I love writing, and making friends." I grinned.

"Yours?" I threw a berry in my mouth.

"I love chasing the girls." He wiggled his brow playfully at me while I hissed loudly.

"What? Is that a bad thing?" He wiggled his two fingers in my face.

"I have no choice over what you do." I shrugged my shoulders and moved on to the eggs.

"I know you don't like your job." He blurted out all of a sudden, making me pause my food.

"How do you know that?" I raised a brow and hugged myself.

"Well, I feel like you accepted to be my assistant because of the money. We weren't even in talking terms when I employed you." He sat closer, staring at me with rapt attention.

"How come your guess is accurate?" I bit my lip.

"I just pay attention to details, no big deal." He winked at me while I smiled.

Every little thing he does makes my heart flutter. The hostility aura he used to have is long gone, leaving a sweet gentle lad with me.

"So what's your dream job?" He swallowed his food, making me watch how his adam apple bobbled every time.

"Food consumption specialist." I winked.

He burst into laughter and hit the table repeatedly. "Seriously?"

I grinned, "okay fine, I studied mass communication and I would have loved to be a writer or work as a reporter but I couldn't get a job hence the reason I'm stuck with you."

"I don't know if I should be thankful for your inability to get a job. But that will only make me selfish and inconsiderate." He stood up and tucked a strand of hair behind my ear.

I chuckled and flushed at his close proximity with me.

"At some point, I regretted working for you. But now, I think I was destined to do this." I leaned into his strong arms as he massaged my shoulders.

"Hmm," his voice sounded rusty as his breath tickled my neck. I let out a soft moan when he continued kneading my shoulders.

I stood up immediately and clung to him like my life depended on him. We stared at each other for some time without saying a word. His long lashes fluttered as his eyes spoke to mine. He angled his face slowly, and he paused when he was inches away from mine.

His face is perfectly sculpted like a geek god. Nose pointed, strong jaws, beautiful brown eyes, long lashes, curly hair, smooth bronze skin, every fucking thing about him turned me on. Every memory of my boyfriend melted like hot butter in the pan and I closed the distance between us and tasted his lips.

His plump red lips were soft and chewable like a freshly baked bread from the oven. I closed my eyes, inhaling his clean, aftershave scent as I sucked at his lower lips. His hand found my hips and slowly lifted me to his waist without breaking the kiss. It was soft and slow at first before proceeding to a fast and urgent kiss. He grabbed a fistful of my hair and bit my lips so I can moan out, and the moment I did, he immediately slipped in his tongue. He tasted of honey and chocolate.

We continue kissing without breaking as he manoeuvred us to his room. It is my first time entering it and it looks beautiful and magnificent with tinted glass so we can see the outside world easily.

He fumbled with my clothes instantly, throwing everything on the floor except my underwear. He tries to kiss me again when I stopped him.

"Alex, what are we doing? I have a boyfriend and I'm not your spec." I tried to push him off me but he didn't budge.

"Just stay put and enjoy this moment, you can't deny that pleasure, can you?" He cocked a brow.

"No, but-" I stood up immediately.

"Sh!" He kneeled on the bed and shut me up with index finger and bit my earlobe making me squirm under him.

He tries to kiss me again but I dodged the kiss, grinning. "Be calm, Alex." I tease. I pull his shirt over him and pushed him hard on the bed with a finger.

He sinks down the king-sized mattress and I fall gracefully beside him before straddling him. I tried to take charge but he kept stopping me.

"Let me do this, it's a slow process and I want you to enjoy every bit of it." He kissed my lips, moves to my jawline, neck, and collarbone, kissing every inch of it.

I also peppered his muscles with kisses as I placed soft butterfly kisses down his chest and abs while I moulded it.

"Tife." He whispers my name, I can hear the desperation and groan in his voice and I can tell her is enjoying every bit of it.

"Your turn," I said and watch his eyes gleam in happiness.

His hands instantly flip me over violently. He buries his head into my neck and his hands roam over my body. Our breathing becomes fast and rough.

"You are irresistible," he says while kissing my chest and inhaling my scent. His hand comes up to my bra and he doesn't attempt to undo the strap.

"Wait a minute, what are you doing?" I stared wide-eyed, watching in stupefaction.

"Why don't you chill so you can have the best moment of your life." He brown eyes showed glints of mischief that I began to wonder what was going on in that pretty little head of his.

He grabbed the middle of my brazier and yanks it. I heard the fabric rip into shreds and gasp at what he just did.

"This is just the taste," he says, before sliding his tongue in my naked bosom. That Monday morning wasn't like any other morning. He took all of me this time and savoured every moment of it.
