Chapter 12: Chapter 12

“If you are going to kick me out just for some orphan girl, you are going to regret it.” She warned and glared at me.

“I’m going to talk with Nina,” she growled and left.

“Don’t mind her. You are not going to see her face ever again.” Noah consulted me and looked up at his brother. They both looked like they were communicating something in their mind. I can’t guess if I’m in a state as I could faint at any moment.

“Sydney, you need to drink my blood. You will heal soon.” Jacen finally broke the silence. But why do I have to drink his blood? Is it safe for a witch? I looked at him with a doubtful look.

“Don’t worry, it will heal you soon. There are no consequences.” He bit his wrist and kept it near my mouth. I don’t have the resistance to his blood now or I can’t heal. I drank his blood without thinking and he grabbed me tightly by not letting me fall to the ground. But soon my strength returned. My injury will take some time to heal, but I’m not going to faint. I feel like I regained my powers again. Slowly but strongly.

“How are you feeling?” Jacen asked me after some minutes.

“I’m feeling so well,” I replied, looking at my arms, which are healed slowly. The peeled skin is started to patch up very slowly.

“We need to go to our mother. Pamela will tell some lies to her and make some fake sympathy.”

Noah seriously stated.

“I’m coming too.”

“Yes, you are, but not by walking.” Jacen firmly told me. I was about to ask, what do you mean by not walking? Before I opened my mouth, he carried me in his arms.

“Hey. I can walk by myself.” I said with my face turning red.

“Not in this state...” I didn’t resist him because I feel so secure and safe right now. We three reached the hall where Nina and Pamela were arguing.

“Oh, no.” Nina ran towards me, seeing my injuries and blood all over my face and body. Jacen dropped me to the floor carefully.

“I’m fine now. Nothing to worry about.” I assured Nina by seeing her face. She’s in the state of having tears. I’m not that weak. I killed the minotaur. Soon Nina turned angry and I can even see her fangs. She’s not angry at me, but Pamela.

“Lydia gave us the responsibility to take care of Sydney. What if she died by your mistake? You always treat your guest like this. Don’t you have any sense. Lydia is our close friend. How can you do this to her niece?” Nina growled at her. That’s when I realized I’m not the only one who was injured because of Pamela but there will be many other victims like me.

“It’s just a part of the training and she survived, so what’s the matter?” How can she talk like this? This witch has a heartless soul.

“Get out.” Nina calmly said these two words.

“What? You are just talking like your sons. You know I don’t have any other home.” She got panicked.

“You are not married. That’s the reason I’m allowing you to live here for many years. But all you did was to give more problems to everyone. Now get out.” This time Nina makes herself so clear. Hurt flashed in Pamela’s eyes. I don’t know how many problems she gave to everyone, but for my aunt and me, they are kicking her out.

“That’s my last word. Get this witch out, Jacen and Noah.” Nina ordered her sons and they are so glad to do it. I’m glad too. I won’t be having her as a trainer for the rest of the months.

“I need to talk with this one alone.” She asked, pointing her fingers at me. Still, I’m not getting any respect from this evil witch.

“Are we stupid to let her go alone with you?” Jacen laughed at her words.

“Tell us whatever you want to tell her. We two will be here with Sydney.” Noah said, standing in front of her.

“Fine. I just thought you are an orphan and nothing more, but you got some powers which I had never seen in many years. The blue flame isn’t a simple one, it’s a rare one. I don’t know who you are? But I’m going to find out.”

“Time over. Now get out.” Jacen moved forward by opening the front door.

“I will have my revenge on you,” she told not only mentioning me but also Nina, Jacen, and Noah. I’m not aware of the rare power she is mentioning about me, but I don’t care. I don’t want to see her face again.

“Mark my words. I will...” she didn’t finish talking but Noah interrupted her.

“Okay. I marked your words in the air, but it’s disappeared now. Goodbye.” Noah slammed the door in front of her face. Nice move.

“Did she behave like this to everyone who came to have trained with her?” I asked once everything got solved.

“Yes. But she has crossed her limits today. That’s her end.” Jacen answered, leading me to the couch. I looked at my arms, which were fully healed without a single scratch. The day I met Jacen he was talking about tasting my blood, but now I drank his blood. It’s all ended up good. I’m healed and I’m feeling way better than before.

“Now who will teach me?” I frowned at this sudden thought.

“Nina will think about this, but it will not be horrible like this and I won’t be leaving your side,” Jacen promised me, and Noah nodded.

“After kicking her out. Everything’s back to normal. Why don’t we go hunting tomorrow? I promised you, Sydney. Do you remember?” Noah asked me with a brightened face. Both of them promised me this a day ago.

“Yes. I want to see how you hunt? I’m ready to go.” I gave a big smile.

“Done. We three are going tomorrow.” Noah announced. then I remembered of blood bag which Jacen always carries with me. Noah isn’t like him in this thing.

“Don’t bring your small blood bag. Okay?” I demanded Jacen.

“Yes madam. I won’t “
