Chapter 30: Chapter 30
JAYSON'S POV (CONTINUED)
"Next Month." I say with a gasp, I'm so going to die of hunger.
She smirks and says, "Too bad, rich folks like you don't know how to make their own meals."
"Oh, you think, well I'll show you." I reply with a playful frown and she raises her eyebrows at me, and that's when I come to my senses.
Oh God! What did I just say? Instead of begging her to cook something or at least assist me, I decided to prove to her I can do something, I know and she also knows too, that I can't.
Surprisingly, she stands up and walks towards me and I curse inwardly and ask, "Can you at least help me a little?"
"No, I can't, I'm sorry."
Still deciding to try my luck I become demanding, "Please, just help me out."
She looks at me, arms akimbo and starts talking sarcastically again, "Oh, come on, are you scared. You scared of the gas cooker, the pot, the spoon, the plate? huh?"
Coming forward and placing her hands on my shoulders, she pushes me forward into the kitchen and positions me near the stove, "Here, this is the match, that's the electric blender. Over there you can see noodles, rice, pasta, and some seasoning and oil. There's lots of foodstuffs to go round, so jus make whatever you want to eat and don't scatter my kitchen okay." She says.
"Uhmm, how...." I try to say something but she cuts me off again while taking an apron from the kitchen rack, "Lest I forget, this is the apron, so you don't stain yourself, and I'm sure you don't know how to wear it, so let me just help you."
Coming closer to me, she goes to my back and carefully ties the apron round my back, tightly and securely.
While she's doing this though, my mind forgets all about the impending cooking task ahead, and instead I feel her breath fanning mine, her neck is stretched up so close to m e and I feel like turning her round, and kissing the heck out of her, but I control myself, before I do something stupid.
As if she knows what's going on in my mind, she turns, raises her eyebrows whole looking at me and say, "Don't think naughty, boy." She smirks and I groan loudly not minding what she'll say.
Rolling her eyes dramatically, she walks to the door but not before reminding my that, "If you need anything...." She begins saying and my heart leaps for joy, "Don't call me." She finishes and leaves and my shoulder sags in disappointment.
What do I do now? I look around, walk in to the kitchen store she pointed earlier and see a bunch of plantains on the floor, picking it up, I guess I'll start by frying this ones first.

CHERRY'S POV
This is just the beginning.
I know he can't cook, and this will definitely teach him a lesson for coming to house.
I go to the living room, laughing silently as I remember the shocked look on his face when I told him to cook for himself.
Well, let's see what he's going to cook.
I turn on the TV, tune into my favorite station and increase the volume, so I won't hear any noise from the kitchen.
Whether he cooks well, eats or doesn't eat at all today, it's not my business.
Taking my eyes from the TV, I pick up my phone, check some important messages, answers some calls and finally settled down to play some mobile games.
Checking the time, I see that some minutes has passed, and I'm finally hearing some noise from the kitchen despite the loud volume of my speaker.
Ignoring the noise, I continue pressing away at my phone, but the noise keeps getting loud.
I might be cold but If anything bad happens to him, I'm going to be held responsible and becoming disturbed, I stand up and walk into the kitchen.
I open the door wide and see smoke everywhere.
Coughing, I spot the frying pan on the gas cooker and splashings of cooking oil all over the counter.
Where's Jayson self? I ask and turning around I get my answer because I spot him on top of the kitchen stool, holding a stainless frying spoon, and for someone cooking, he's actually very far from the food.
"Jayson!!" I call out, and he responds with a hum.
"What are you doing? See everywhere is filled with smoke, the windows closed. Do you want to suffocate to death?" I ask him and he doesn't say a word.
"Can't you hear me, and why are you very far from what you are frying? Just look at everywhere." I say pointing at the haphazard looking kitchen I suffered to clean today.
"I'm, I'm scared of that." He says pointing at the oil currently splashing everywhere.
Walking towards it, I reduce the gas and turn to face him.
"Get out from there please." He says worriedly and I just laugh.
"Why should I?" I ask, "Can't you see too, or are you blind, the oil is splashing everywhere and I've not even began to fry anything." He says pointing at the pan in fear.
Chuckling I say, "Well, one advice you should remember next time, don't let water even if it's a little drop get into a hot oil okay." I say and picking a kitchen rag, I off the gas cooker, wipe the table clean, open the windows to allow breeze come in and smirking at him I take my leave.
"Suit yourself." I say lastly and walk out.
Walking back to the sitting room, I laugh and at the same time. I regret sending Maria and the maids off to vacation, but they need it and besides it's something I do on occasion.
I begin coughing and trying to calm myself, I perceive smoke coming again from the kitchen.
Oh God! What has he done again.
Walking to the kitchen, the smell becomes so strong, and opening the kitchen door wide, I'm shocked at what I see and I scream, "Jayson!!!!"
