JAYSON'S POV

My eyes are closed and I see myself hugging her, planting kisses all over her face and she moans in my ears.

I look into her face and all I see is beauty, love and so many unexplainable things. Leaning close i try to kiss her succulent lips, and my alarm rings loudly and I'm forced to open my eyes.

It's just a fucking dream, and it's morning already and so fast.

Oh shit! I curse loudly, and I remember that I have not even told Cherry again about the meeting.

Even though I have decided to lie to the investors, it's not going to be easy and I sigh.

Already 7:00 clock am, and having just an hour to get dressed and prepare for work, I go into the bathroom, take a quick shower, clean myself, rub the lotion Jeanne kept that I'm beginning to like, wear my clothes and I'm set to go.

Walking to the mirror, I pick my styling gel and comb, and style my stubborn full dark hair and slick it all back.

Looking at myself, I conclude that I'm a really handsome guy, who wasted so many years with an ungrateful bitch Talia, and who is currently obsessed with his childhood friend.

Damn! I have a lot of baggage on me.

Walking to the dining and seeing the table lavishly spread, I begin eating away.

I'm really going to miss this feeling when I leave, this cooking, the homely atmosphere, and everybody especially Maria whom I've developed quite a bond with.

Eating, I hope Cherry shows up at the dining table, of not for anything but I just want to see her beautiful face and sexy clothes. I think and I chuckle.

I'm almost done eating my breakfast of pancake and eggs but she does not show up, and I tamp down my disappointment, resisting the urge to ask about her from Maria.

I finish eating, wipe my lips with the napkin placed by the table and take my leave, but not before calling out to Maria in the kitchen and waving goodbye.

I walk into the boardroom where the meeting would be taking place, everything is in place, the projector, laptops and every necessary equipment are all set up.

Soon investors start trooping in, and we begin.

"We have gone so far with our dealings in the business world, and we are grateful for the business connections we have with top rated companies like the Cortex companies and Cherlins corporation also. Speaking of Cherlins, Mr Cortex where is she?" The man speaking turns to me d I gulp hard not knowing what to say.

"Uhm, she, she's actually...." I begin to stammer, thinking of what to say, when suddenly the door opens and to my surprise Cherry walks in majestically looking really beautiful and classy.

"Oh my...." I say slowly to myself, she's wearing a not to appropriate attire for a business meeting but what do I know.

She's putting on a red off shouldered gown with a slit by the left side exposing her flawless skins and straight shaped legs, she's so fucking hot!

"I'm here." She says looking around, and the people in the board room claps as she walks in and takes her seat opposite me.

"Well, morning, ladies and gentlemen. It's really nice to meet you all courtesy of Mr Cortex here, and I so hope we rub minds together and have a very good time." She says calmly and I become shocked.

'She just covered up for me, how did she know about this?' I ask no one but myself and look straight at her, but she's not displaying any emotions as her face is neutral and void.

I can't seem to thank her enough though.

The coordinator begins talking, saying things but I don't even get what he's saying, as my mind is currently occupied with why she did this, and all I can feel is so much happiness and giddiness, as I keep stealing glances at her throughout the whole meeting.

I can't wait to tell Jeanne everything that just happened, gosh!

The meeting ends, and everyone handshakes and soon it gets to my turn to shake Cherry.

I think she'll snub or ignore me, but surprisingly she doesn't and instead stretches her hands while saying, 'Nice to meet you again, Mr Cortex." She smiles, intertwining my hands with hers and squeezing it so fucking hard!

Ouch! I groan in pain, and she smirks wickedly at me, a look that also tells me that everything is not yet over, and she walks away.

I sigh inwardly, and walking outsider the building, I bring out my cell phone and immediately call Jeanne.

I dial her number and she picks immediately, as if she's waiting for my call and I'm not surprised, cause I think she somehow has a hand in what happened today.

"Hey Jayson what's up." I hear her voice on the other end.

"I'm cool, you? How's New York?" I ask her, "Well, I'm fine, New York's fine, everything's fine. So any latest development?" She asks me and I begin to tell her everything.

"Uhm, Cherry came to the meeting today, like she showed up and I didn't even tell her anything."

She starts laughing at the other end and now I confirm my suspicious, that she definitely had a hand in this, "Well, lover boy, I knew you wouldn't man up and talk, so I had to come to your rescue as your wonder woman. I sent her a text message using the company's number telling her about it, so here you somehow have your answer."

"Oh! I thought as much." I say and she chuckles lightly, "So how was the meeting?" She asks me and I tell her what we discuss, the potential investments and every other thing and soon I thank her and she replies me warmly and hangs up.

I need to go home.
