Chapter 25: Chapter 25

JEANNE'S POV

Cherry has slept off.

Laying her gently on the bed, and covering her with the blanket, I go and meet Jayson.

He's already made himself at home, I can see that, as he's currently eating Maria's lavish delicacies at the dining table.

Bringing out a chair, and sitting beside him, I fetch a large helping of pasta and chicken sauce, and begin eating too.

Cleaning his mouth, with the napkin placed in front, he drinks his fruit juice, clears his throat and asks, "How's she, what did she say?"

"Well, for now coast's clear, you can stay." I answer, although I don't tell him everything she said, so he wouldn't be worried.

It seems he's done eating, because he stands up and says, "I think I need to rest, I'm already tired and it's getting late."

Nodding I call Maria and tell her to guide him to his room.

I continue eating when suddenly another idea pops in my head.

Bingo! I think I've just officially turned to Jayson's and Cherry's matchmaker sent from heaven.

CHERRY'S POV

Next Morning.

I wake up and remember the dreams I had last night, that Jayson came to my house, and all at once my memories come back and finally I remember the events of yesterday.

God! I'm never coming out of this room, I don't want to set my eyes on him at all.

I check my wall clock, it's just 8:01 am, it's still early, I lie back on the bed again, and I don't know when I doze off.

Hours later, I wake up, check the time , it's 10:45 am, and I sleep again.

*********

Someone is banging on my door.

I immediately wake up, and I hear Jeanne calling my name from outside, "Open up Cherry, are you dead or something."

Sitting upright and checking my time, I see it's already noon, 2:15 pm, oh my, I overslept, all in my bid to avoid seeing Jayson.

God! What's this, I can't even move freely in my house and this will continue for 3 weeks.

Standing up, and yawning, I open the door and at the same time my stomach rumbles loudly.

'I'm fucking hungry.' I think to myself although I don't say anything out loud.

Jeanne exhales loudly, "I thought you were dead." She says and I just give a faint smile, "Good morning, or afternoon rather." I say and she scoffs, "Morning indeed."

"Whatever." I reply, rolling my eyes and yawn hungrily again, I walk to my fridge and take a slice of cake, Maria always keeps and today I silently say a prayer for her in my head.

I munch loudly, "Aren't you going to go downstairs to eat?" She asks and I nod my head saying no.

"Why? Don't tell me it's because of Jayson, and if that's the reason I'm not going to tell Maria to bring any food for you up here. Why are you punishing yourself?" She asks and continues talking but I don't even mind her, "Better stop punishing yourself, behave like a normal person, and stop acting weird."

"Acting weird, I'm definitely not acting weird ma'am. Is he at home? Has he gone out?" I ask.

"Yeah, he went to his branch office here and also he says he has some business to take care of, but he would be coming back soon.

Hearing he's out, I stand up and walk downstairs to the night, I'm really starving.

My food's already served, putting some chicken and chips in my mouth, I eat away without even minding the fact that I didn't even brush my teeth.

Just look at the way Jayson has turned me into a mad person, making me do things that I'll frown upon on a norms.

"Cherry, what's wrong with you?" Jeanne asks looking at me confusedly.

"I'm fine miss." Eating in a rush, I belch loudly, drink my orange juice and stand up and walk away.

"Are you done eating." Jeanne shouts at me, but I don't even reply as I go outside to receive some fresh breeze.

As soon as I step outside, two cars come in as the gates open automatically.

'Oh God! He's already back.

Hissing, I walk back inside, I have to take my bath and maybe read a book or two, them maybe all thoughts of him will finally get out of my fucking head.

Minutes Later..

I'm done bathing, and I put on a skimpy outfit of bum shorts and strapless singlet. I assure myself countless times in the mirror that I'm not wearing this clothes cause of Jayson, but my mind's not so sure.

My phone rings on the bed and I pick it up, looking at the screen I see it's Robin.

Answering with a smile, I clear my throat and speak, "Hey Rob."

"Hi princess." He replies and I blush.

"When will you stop calling me that, huh?" I ask him and he just chuckles and says, "Till the moon turns blue."

That's just impossible, and he knows it, but I drop the talk.

"How have you been? Are you in the state or you are abroad?" I ask, "Well no." "Oh okay." I say and an awkward silence creeps on, I don't know what to say likewise him.

"I miss you." He says hurriedly and nervously, I can feel it from his voice.

"Um, how have you been." I ask him again trying to cover up the last thing he said, cause I don't even know what to say.

He seems adamant and says again, "I said I miss you." "Well, same here." I say frantically and he laughs.

"No need to reciprocate or say it back, I'm just telling you my mind, you've been in my thoughts throughout today." He says and I swoon, why can't I open up, why can't I fall in love with this man? I ask myself.

"Well, I'm not in Orlando at present, to answer your question, what should I get you when coming back?" He asks and I reply, "Chocolates."

"Alright, the best chocolates it is, for my favorite girl in the world right now." He says and I laugh.

We talk for a little longer, and he does a good job in making me smile, and surely takes my mind away from Jayson at least.
