JAYSON'S POV

It's Saturday morning, I'm at home and I'm so bored.

I could have called Talia to come over and spend some time with me, but I have already broken up with her even if we haven't spoken yet.

Deciding to go on a stroll, I shower and dress up, I wear a green lanky top with black shorts and black sneakers. I put on my wristwatch, pick up my car keys and my phone.

I walk outside to my garage, select a car from my vehicle collection and drive downtown, the cool breeze whipping through my hair and I enjoy it immensely.

Having nowhere to go, I park besides a safe spot on the road I come out and start walking idly, not knowing where I'm going to.

I’m having a good view of the city and it's better than staying indoors all day today.

Still walking, I hear my name been shouted from behind, I turn and see a good friend of mine who I've not seen for a very long time.

"Hey Jay." He says, "My man Robin." I reply in salute as we fist bump heartily, laughing and smiling at each other.

"So man, how you doing, what's popping with you?" He asks as we walk over to sit on a street chair besides the road walkway, on getting there I spot an afternoon snacks bar and lounge and i motion for us to move over there.

We go inside and I order some chilled bear and mineral water for the both of us, the waiter goes to get our orders and we resume talking.

"I'm doing fine, better than ever, you?" I ask.

"Same here." he replies and not long after the waiter brings in our orders.

"So how's your new hotel doing now." He says taking a sip of his beer. "It's okay, it's doing fine actually, considering the many expenses I had to make on that hotel, its proving to be worth it." I reply.

Nodding he drops his glass and says, "That is better then, considering the stress you passed through, all the land acquisition problems, lawsuit and other things you went through then." "Yeah I guess." I say finally taking a sip of the chilled beer.

"So how's Talia." He asks and I sigh, I knew he would ask about her, he knows of our relationship, but I was not expecting the question at this cool moment.

"At the moment, we are currently on rocky grounds, I mean to break up with her." I say and he stares at me in shock.

"What happened bro, you guys have been together for over six years now, I mean I thought I would be hearing wedding bells soon, like you both getting engaged and other stuffs, six years men six years is not a joke, I've not even been in a relationship for more than 3 months, sorry to say." He says and I laugh.

"Well, everyone's not the same man, you Robin you can't keep your dick in your pants, how do you expect to last in a relationship for more than 3 months." I say while chuckling heartily, "What even happened?" He asks and I give a lengthy sigh.

"I found out from a reliable source that she's been cheating on me." I reply.

"Well, damn, that bitch is something else, remember that time I told you she came unto me, but you refused to believe me."

"I had the intuition that you were saying the truth, but I just didn't want to believe that she could be able to do such, it's all in the past now, though." I say.

"Cheers to being single then man, welcome to the club." He says raising his glass and I stare at him mockingly.

"Single, you are never single guy, so just raise those your fucking glasses down, and tell me how your numerous girlfriends are doing." I say and he just smiles, well now there's something more to this that I don't know.

"What's with the look?" He asks me and I laugh.

"I asked of your many girlfriends and you just smiled, guy I know you, you would have already started telling me of your sexcapades but you are just smiling, what's up with Clara, Diana, Tina, Clare and others?"

I ask and he drops his hands on the table, looking serious he says, "Well I'm single at the moment, I want to settle down in a serious relationship now, there's actually this girl I've been meaning to start something with, but Jayson man, I fucked up big time." He says sobering up, and I just smile I knew there was something up when he just smiled at my question earlier.

"What happened man who's this girl that you really like?" I ask and he says something that makes me cough out my beer.

"Well for starts, her name's Cherry Collins." He says and I spit out my beer and start coughing.

"Woah, calm down man, what's the matter?" He asks and I just nod my head telling him am okay with a wave of my hand and take some water.

What is fate trying to pull here now? Why is her name suddenly everywhere.

"So what really happened?" I ask him, wanting to know more.

"Well, she paid me a surprise visit and caught me making out with one of my flings." He says and I sigh feeling bad for him.

"Oh man, that's bad you know." I say and he continues, "I know right, like I never even gave her my address, you know I wasn't expecting her, we are not even dating already, but......"

"But what? You guys are not dating yet, so relax man, you have no obligation towards or neither her to you, she might even be with another man as we speak, so chill okay." I say, swallowing bitterly as I say the last part, I've not even met her, but thinking of her with another man has me going nuts already.

"Well, actually she sees our relationship as nothing more than friendship, she calls me her friend already, but I want more than that, man that woman is every man's day dream, I really want her, God!" He exclaims and I chuckle.

"You are so funny LC, you mean you want the cold hearted Cherry Collins, the media talks about, someone that doesn't even smile as they say." I say and he brings out his phone as he says, "And who says she doesn't smile?" He asks proceeding to show me something on his phone and I realize it's her photos.

He even has her pictures, and she's smiling so beautifully here, "When did you take this?" I ask.

"We actually went on a date together the first time to know each other better, she smiles to people she's close and free with, and I can proudly say I'm one of them." He says his eyes twinkling in excitement like a kid.

"Let me see more photos of her." I say and he hands over his phone to me.

Wow she is one pretty lady though, her smiles making her look more gorgeous than ever. Scrolling through the gallery I even see they took a selfie together, Robin is really a lucky guy.

"I think I'll need to use the restroom, I'll be right back." He says as he gets up from his stool and goes away.

I like this pictures of her smiling and I decide to send some to my phone before he comes back.

When I'm done, I insert my phone back into my pocket, and arrange my self well.

I see Robin approaching the table with two cups of what I think is coffee. Phew! He was fast though.

"Here have some coffee, I decided to bring some when I came out from the restroom." He says and I collect it and thank him.

I hand his phone back to him and he says chuckling lightly "Can you see that she smiles like the morning sun in all its glory." He says and I just smile.

His phone immediately rings and he picks it up, "Hello princess." He says and I furrow my brows in acknowledgement.

Laughing he continues talking, "I won't stop calling you that princess, so you are in LA with me right?"

Turning and not wanting to intrude in his conversation, I bring out my phone and scroll through the pretty pictures of Cherry I collected earlier, there's just something beckoning with this lady.

"Bye sweetie." I hear Robin say as he disconnects the call.

"Who was that, one of your flings here in LA?" I ask and he says, "Actually that's Cherry, she's currently in LA also."

Nodding I check my wristwatch and see that time has really gone fast, we order more beers and keep on talking.
