Straight to hell!

Petra is the first to behold the sight before them. Kayola blinks repeatedly but does not move. She is trying her damnest not to show her trepidation. Warinth is standing right beside the man she saw arguing with Warinth a few minutes ago. He is looking at her with a burning gaze and Kayola knows why. Petra is paralyzed with fear. It is as if she already knows what is about to happen.
“Is that the bitch?” the mean-looking man asks Warinth. Kayola will later find out that his name is Devilio.
“That is Kayola, and do not call her names,” Warinth replies sadly.
Devilio howls like a deranged wolf for a long time, and this sends shivers down Petra’s spine. “Warinth, by the time my men and I are done with her, calling her names would be enjoyable to her,” He then winks at Kayola who is still sitting quietly on the floor.
“Devilio, I will give you all my slaves, and I will give you all our farm produce for the next three months. Please, do not take Kayola.” Warinth begs and Kayola feels terribly sorry for him. She can see that he is helpless.
“Please, Alpha, do not take her, she is the only thing I have got.” Petra also pleads.
Devilio, unmoved by their pleas, replies, “Warinth, you and I both know that if I want all your soldiers, it won’t take me anything, and I can get all your farm produce for the next three years at the snap of my fingers. And as for you, old woman, I do not have feelings, neither do I have human emotions. Therefore, I do not care about what she means to you. I want her for myself and I am taking her with me!”
At his words, Petra transforms into her wolf and moves towards Devilio to attack him, but Kayola, with the speed of lightning, stands in between them and whispers in the ears of her aunt, “Aunt Petra, I love you too much to let you die in the hands of this bastard. We both know that one swipe of his strong paws at your neck will kill you instantly. I have already lost Mom and Papa; do you want me to mourn over you, too?”
“Kayola please, don’t do this, please.” Petra pleads with tears in her eyes.
“I gotta do this.”
She turns to look at Devilio and bows, “I am all yours, Alpha, you can take me away, but please, do not hurt any of the wolves of the Peasants pack.” As she speaks, she does not fail to notice Warinth’s struggle to hold back his tears and his indignation.
“You have no right whatsoever to tell me what to do, you bitch!” Devilio screams at Kayola and drags her out of the room, pulling her arm so hard that she thinks it will snap. He and his men march out of the Peasants pack and Kayola looks back, catching a glimpse of Warinth holding Petra. When they finally exit the pack, Devlio makes Kayola stand in front of him and he hits her on her face with his palm; the force is so hard that she falls to the ground. He then pulls her from the ground and ties her hands together, binding her to his horse. They all ride slowly and leisurely until they reach the Rogue Territory. Even Sebastian gets to ride one of the horses. He does not even give her as little as a passing glance. By the time they arrive at the Territory, Kayola is tired, exhausted, and very thirsty.
Devilio moves closer to her and whispers in her ears, telling her all the bad things he is going to do to her. He swears that he will make her life a living hell and that she will regret the day she was born. Kayola is as quiet as a donkey; she does not even react to his statement, and this makes Devilio very happy.
He orders two of his soldiers to take her to the Pit of Hell, where prisoners are kept and tortured with hunger and thirst. The pit is very about fifteen feet deep and just wide enough for Kayola to sit and rest her back. She is thrown down there and thankfully, she does not break any bones. She is starved for the rest of the day, but her sleep is peaceful.
The next day, at exactly eight a.m. , the pit is open and the rays of the early morning shine on her face. She winces and tries to get her eyes adjusted to the light. A ladder is pushed down to the bottom of the pit where she is and one of the soldiers grimly commands her to climb up. She obeys him and within a few minutes, she is at the top of the pit. She looks around and sees a lot of soldiers, and counting them with her eyes, she realizes that they are almost two thousand in number. She sees Devilio seated in front of them and as she does, her heart skips a beat. She is dragged as usual to where he is and made to kneel before him.
“Hello, Alpha Kayola,” he taunts her, and all the soldiers laugh heartily. “Did you sleep well?”
Kayola does not say a word.
“Well, it looks like you do not want to talk, but don’t you worry; a few strokes here and there will get you screaming,” he whispers evilly. She is immediately pulled to the center of the field and is made to lay on a large table. Devilio watches as one of the soldiers whip her. As the first stroke lands on her back, tears sting Kayola’s eyes, but she fights them. Then comes the second stroke, then the fourth, the seventh, and the tenth. Each time the whip lands on her body, it comes with a burning sensation, and Kayola cannot help but cry. As the soldier keeps flogging her, she becomes numb to the pain, and her whole life flashes before her eyes, her Papa, her Mom, Aunt Petra, her beloved Keevan, and all the wonderful times they all had. The tears keep falling and she does nothing to stop them.
“That’s okay,” Devilio commands and the lashing stops. He walks right to where she lies and says, “You refused to scream; I will make sure I break you, you bastard! I am doing this for my grandfather, whom your father and grandfather killed. I killed your father, and I am going to kill you too. However, I will not make your death so easy.”
He turns to the two soldiers in charge of detaining her and says, “Take her back to the dungeon, and give her nothing more than two slices of bread and a cup of water!” At his command, Kayola is taken back to the pit, and her white vest is stained by the blood pooling at her back as a result of the lashing. She eats the food ravenously, but it does nothing to satisfy her hunger. She cries from her heart and whimpers till she falls asleep.
She is woken up by a very loud noise; it is the sound of people celebrating. What could the Rogues be celebrating?
