I nodded but I still couldn't answer when mama suddenly grabbed her chest and complained of pain.

"Are you ok?" I asked her but she just shook her head before starting to stand up.

I helped her stand up and held her arm but I suddenly let go of her when I saw that her hand gradually became transparent.

"Ah" mama sighed before watching her hand become transparent.

Everyone stopped fighting when they heard the shout and looked in our direction. I saw mama open her mouth and was about to speak when we heard Captain Jared shout a few meters away from us.

"Behind you!" Mama looked behind us at the same time and my knee almost gave way when Psyche and I caught sight of each other.

He was already standing and smiling at us. He stretched out his hand wrapped in black magic in the direction of mama and me before it quickly flew towards us.

That black magic flew very fast towards us and I'm sure that was the end of me and mama but I was wrong.

My attention was too focused on my impending death so I didn’t notice what was happening around me and I didn’t notice a familiar woman running quickly towards our direction and I just realized that Lina was in front of me.

My eyes widened and I did not immediately understand what was happening until I saw that there was a black object stuck in Lina's chest and little by little blood flowed from there.
