Chapter 64

"It's been a while Anna" said Psyche but mama still didn't take her eyes off me.

“You’re Anna?” I asked him even though I already knew the answer.

"I will explain everything to you later, Alissa" Mama smiled slightly before she turned her attention to Psyche.

I had so many questions in my mind and mixed emotions but I knew this was not the time to talk so I didn't speak.

"Leave for now, bring trevas with you" said mama before she suddenly transformed and for the first time, I witnessed the transformation of an ice user.

He had beautiful transparent wings that seemed to glow but the most noticeable was the difference in color of his wings. On the right it is violet and on the left it is bright blue but instead of looking ‘weird’ it looks more magical.

If Psyche is surrounded by black magic, mama is surrounded by violet and blue.

“Go! Alissa! ” mama shouted, not looking in my direction before she suddenly teleported to Psyche's back and attacked her from there but before mama's attack touched Psyche a big black creature suddenly appeared between them so mama backed away.

My attention was too focused on the fight between Psyche and mama and also because I still couldn't believe that mama was alive I didn't notice Trevas approaching me.

"Let's go" he said to me before I stood up. I don't know what happened next in the fight between Psyche and mama because Trevas took me to the Plaza entance and Lina also followed us.

"I can't teleport both of you, I've used too much magic" Trevas gasped but he still wouldn't let go of me and helped me stand up.

I don't know why but my body seems to be weakening and I don't seem to have any strength even though I haven't used much magic before compared to Trevas. I thought deeply about why I felt this way but before my questions could be answered, Trevas and Lina stopped walking at the same time because of a woman blocking the entrance of the Plaza.

"Lady Mara" He was just standing in the middle of our path and silently looking at us. I don't know why but I have a strong feeling that Lady Mara is not on our side.

I don’t know what Lady Mara’s power is because I haven’t seen her fight yet. However, I prepared myself to fight him but to my great surprise no magic came out of my hand.

I stared at my hands and tried to release magical ice but no matter how hard I tried nothing came out. I also tried to release a flower but nothing happened, the only thing that worked with my powers was my water power.

I frowned but before I could understand what was happening we heard a crash and we all turned in the direction of mama and Psyche who are still fighting.

Mama slipped on the floor and dragged in our direction. She moaned at the pain she felt so I couldn’t stop myself from approaching her. Mama is back to her old form and her wings are gone.

“Ma-”

"What are you doing here? Didn’t I tell you to run away? ” he said seeing him seeing me.

"You're stupid to think that I'll let any of you escape" I heard Psyche say a few meters away from us.

I knelt down next to mama and noticed that Trevas and Lina also approached us. Behind us is the entrance of the Plaza where Lady Mara is still standing and in front of us is Psyche walking closer.

I turned my gaze to Mama and only then did I notice that there seemed to be something strange about her. His skin was transparent as if he were a ghost or a spirit without a physical body.

"I just found out now that you had a child while I was away" Psyche said smiling before mama and I looked around.

“Not only did you pretend to be a mortal named Diana, you also had a child with a mortal?” said Psyche, her voice mixed with disgust. “How pathetic, What’s so good about that mortal Alen Knoxx?”

"You call me pathetic?" Mama suddenly laughed before slowly standing up. "At least I'm not like you who lives in envy and anger because the man you want doesn't love you"

"Shut up!" Psyche shouted angrily before she unleashed black magic in our direction. Trevas suddenly blocked in front of us and created a black magic circle in front of us as a shield so we weren't hit. However Trevas suddenly knelt on the floor and gasped looking in Psyche's direction.

“Where’s Laramie?” Psyche asked. Her teeth were gritted and her eyes were full of anger.

Laramie? The goddess of tears? What has he got to do with Psyche and mama?

"Do you think I'll tell you just that?"

Psyche didn't say a word and just stared at mama. I thought he would attack again but I was shocked when I heard what he said next.

"Luke, bring him here" After Psyche said no, lightning suddenly flashed a few meters from Psyche's stand and there Luke suddenly appeared holding his king's father by the collar who had been taken away by the royal guards.

My eyes widened especially when Luke suddenly threw his dad on the floor. I was caught in my mouth because I didn’t think Luke could do all this.

I suddenly remembered the day I first saw Psyche in the shopping district on our first day here in Bauxacel. Luke was with Lady Mara and Psyche that day so I wouldn't be surprised if they also conspired with Luke in all their plans.

"Luke-" I turned to my mother and noticed that her fist suddenly clenched and she looked badly in Luke's direction.

“Why did you bring your father here? Didn’t I tell you to kill him already? ” Psyche asked seeing king hermes now lying on the floor and unconscious.

"What for? He’s already dying ”Luke said without emotion as if he was not related to the man lying on the floor. There was no emotion in his eyes looking at his father like he looked at me when I asked him for help.

Psyche narrowed her eyes at Luke but she just shrugged and turned to look at us. “Now’s your time to prove your loyalty to me”

Psyche pointed her index finger in our direction before suddenly grinning. "Kill them for me"

"All of them?" Luke asked, still no emotion on his face.

"All of them" Psyche nodded to Luke before taking a few steps back as if he was giving the stage to it.

"Fine" Luke said sparingly before stretching out his hand in our direction and from there in his palm a light came out and I was suddenly nervous.

"Hold on to me" said mama so we all turned our attention to him.

“Hold on to me! Quick! ” he shouted so I quickly approached him and held his arm and Trevas and Lina did the same.

I looked in Luke's direction and I was almost dazzled by the light coming from his palm.

A wave of light disappeared from Luke's palms that I knew could end the lives of all of us who would be hit, so I suddenly closed my eyes and prepared myself for anything that might happen.

“Now!” When mama shouted, I suddenly felt intense power flow from my hand holding Mama's arm but suddenly you also disappeared as if I was just imagining everything.

I kept my eyes closed and waited for our end but a few seconds later the surroundings remained quiet and I felt nothing but a strong breeze.

I slowly opened my eyes and was shocked to see that we were no longer in the Plaza but in a large field with tall weeds.

“Where are we?” I heard Lina's question behind me but before anyone could answer her question, mama suddenly fell down and I was still holding her arm.

"Ma!" I shouted before I chinecked his wrist. I was very grateful when I felt the weak pulse of his vein in his left hand.

"She probably drained her powers out when she teleported the three of us at the same time" Trevas said.

I nodded, I've experienced teleporting and I know what percentage of power is used, especially if you have more than two people teleporting.

I gasped before staring at my mother's gentle face. I can’t help but think deeply about everything I’ve discovered today.

First, minister haviour and minister Laxxon used to frame-up papa but the most mastermind of all is Psyche who I still don't know what the motive is.

I turned to mama who was unconscious lying on the floor next to me. Another thing I found out was that mama was alive and she was anna who I had also been with for a few months but I didn't know that she was mama.

Now that I think about it, Anna's voice was different when I talked to her with my mind compared to mama's real voice and if she was really mama, why would she hide the truth?

Another is about Luke. He told me before that he and his father were involved in framing up papa and it just means that he also had a connection with Psyche but I still can't believe that Luke can do that.

I once became friends with Luke and I was with him for a long time so I couldn’t quite imagine that Luke who was my friend back then was the Luke I had just seen watching his dad gradually die earlier.

I rested deeply. I no longer feel for Luke. The Infatuation I felt with him then had completely disappeared since we last met in Beifang but I couldn’t help myself from being disappointed and regretting the friendship that Luke and I had before. I actually hoped that our friendship was still good but as far as I found out, it seemed vague when that happened.
