Chapter 59: Chapter 59

Chapter 58

I took a deep breath and was about to attack Minister Haviour when suddenly someone covered my mouth and darkness engulfed me.

For a moment my vision darkened and I found myself standing in the garden outside the palace hall.

The one that was covering my mouth came out before it walked in front of me. I didn't immediately say a word when Trevas and I caught sight of him, who was looking at me seriously.

"I can explain…" I tried to smile but Trevas still didn't lose his serious look at me. We are here in the garden next to the palace hall, There is no one else here besides us but the noise coming from inside the palace hall can be heard.

"You lied"

"Not that I want to, I just don't want you to worry-"

"I have the right to worry about you Alissa and I have the right to know if you're planning something dangerous like this" I just bit my lip.

He sighed before someone handed him something. I looked at what he reached for and realized it was my dress that I had hidden earlier behind the armor stand.

"Do you have any idea what could have happened if I hadn't followed you and escaped to the storage room?"

"Uh… speaking of which, how did you teleport inside the storage room eh isn't there enchantment surrounding that room?"

"I know how to disable such enchantment because there is also such in the storage room of Beifang" before turning my gaze to the book I was holding.

"It contains all the information I will need to prove that the case against papa was just a frame-up" I said because I knew when he would ask what this book was for.

Trevas nodded before looking away. “You don’t have to lie to me about his kind of things, It only made me feel like you don’t trust me enough”

Suddenly I was surprised at him. He wasn't looking into my eyes but I could see in his face that he didn't really like the lie I did to him. I should have just told him the truth in the first place.

I opened my mouth and was about to speak when I heard a familiar voice. Trevas and I looked at the same time in the direction of the noise and there we saw Minister Haviour and Minister Laxxon who also seemed to be from the building of the Department of Investigation.

“We’re screwed” said Minister Haviour. I never heard Minister Laxxon answer when Trevas grabbed me by the wrist and pulled me away.

"Hide that" Trevas pointed out in the book I was holding, so I quickly inserted it into the magical bracelet I was wearing.

"Where are we going?" I asked sharply that this was no longer the way back to the palace hall.

“We’re going home, We can’t risk anyone seeing that book in our hands”

"Wait, Lina-"

"He was in the carriage before, we drank a lot of wine" Trevas replied so I just let him pull me to the carriage.

I was still wearing black combat clothes while trevas was pulling me but we didn't meet much because the dancing inside the palace hall was not over and in case we met a palace servant, Trevas immediately teleported so that we could not be seen.

When we got to the car park, Trevas suddenly stopped so I stopped too. “Why did you-”

I couldn’t continue what I was saying when I looked in front of us and saw Luke leaning there in our carriage and looking at us without emotion.

I frowned especially when Luke started walking towards us.

"Aren't you supposed to be at the party, prince Luke?" Trevas asked calmly but I felt his grip tighten on my hand.

"I can ask you the same thing" Luke replied in his deep voice, his face still devoid of emotion as Trevas looked around at us.

Trevas's eyes narrowed even more. “We’re leaving”

Luke didn't answer right away. He turned his gaze to me and my hair seemed to stand on end when he also stared at me for a few seconds.

"can I ask what is the crown prince of Bauxacel doing here" Trevas asked earnestly before pulling me behind him as if hiding me from Luke. "you wouldn't want a rematch do you, prince luke?"

"Not really" was Luke's calm answer despite Trevas' threat, still not taking his voice away from me.

"I just need to talk to you, Alissa" I frowned. Luke's face was serious but there seemed to be some emotion in his eyes that I couldn't explain.

“Say what you have to say, I’m not-”

"What is it?" I’m cutting into what Trevas is saying because it seems like what Luke has to say is important. We have nothing to lose if I listen to what he has to say.

Luke didn't speak for a moment before turning his gaze to Trevas. "Can you leave first?"

Trevas opened his mouth but before he could speak I preceded him. “Say what you have to say. I’m not talking to you unless he’s with me ”

Luke sighed before nodding and looking at me. "You've changed"

"So were you" I narrowed my eyes at him.

He was silenced. He probably also realized that of the two of us, he was the one who had changed the most. He is no longer my old friend Luke.

"If that's all you say, we don't have to talk anymore" I was about to walk to the carriage but I couldn't take a step when Luke suddenly spoke again.

"You shouldn't have come back here" he said almost in a whisper but the surroundings were quiet so Trevas and I could hear him.

Luke stared at the floor as if deep in thought. “Go back to Beifang”

I was suddenly surprised. “Why? Weren't you forcing me to come back to Bauxacel when we last met? You told me to come back here and live in the palace with you right? And another, It was your father who requested that I be the representative of Beifang ”

Luke didn't say a word so I was suddenly irritated. “What? Are you afraid I'm going to book all the royal family's accomplices in f-framing up the Knoxx family? So you want me back to Beifang? Are you afraid I will find out the truth? ”

"Sometimes, it's better that you don't know Alissa" my blood boiled even more and my hand was shaking with annoyance especially when I saw Luke's emotionless face.

"Well not in my case, my parents were killed Luke, I can't keep quiet until I know the truth" I close my eyes and take a deep breath. It seemed like I wanted to attack Luke and kill him right now but I calmed myself down. They don’t deserve a quick death, They should suffer.

"If you're here to convince me to go back to Beifang and not pursue my plan, you're wasting time" I didn't wait for Luke's answer and walked to the carriage, Trevas followed me so Luke was left standing alone. there in the middle of the road. He remained in his place even when our carriage started moving out of the palace.

**

“Master…” I could see the trembling of Minister Laxxon and Minister Haviour's whole body as they knelt in front of the person sitting in the chair made from the roots of the trees. They are in the middle of the forest and only the light of the moon serves as a light around them.

“So… The daughter of Alen and Diana knoxx is really alive?” said the man sitting there in the chair made of root. He was in a dark part of the forest and the moonlight did not shine so I could not see what he looked like. Only his frightening and terrifying voice confirmed that someone was sitting in that chair.
