Chapter 33

My suspicion was correct, Antoine was the dressmaker on this boutique. What I didn't expect was that he was very famous in the whole kingdom of Beifang because of the beauty of his works and sometimes it is said that the people of Bauxacel visit him to sew clothes. That's why I wasn't surprised when I saw the beautiful sketch of the dress that Antoine designed for us.

I held it in my mouth and in amazement looked at the sketch of the dress on a magical paper in front of me that Antoine had designed for me and I noticed that Lina reacted the same way when she saw hers. Even Trevas and lieutenant Jared I saw raised an eyebrow before staring at the paper floating in front of them so I was curious and peeked at them.

I first looked at Lina. It is a red dress and has a high slit and a low neckline. It has long sleeves and a long trail at the back while there are gold designs on the chest and neck for a bit less revealing the dress. As I was looking at the dress for Lina I also turned to the sketch of the dress for lieutenant Jared because they were side by side and talking.

Like Lina, Lieutenant Jared's dress is red and he also has gold armor on his chest. I don't know why he still needs armor, we're going to a party but I just shrugged and peeked at the sketch of Trevas' dress but my eyes suddenly widened when I saw him.

I pulled the floating magical paper closer to me and put aside the sketch of her dress and when I had to dress in a suit like the dress of Lina and lieutenant Jared.

"Why do we have a suit?" I asked Antoine chill sitting on the back of the sofa in front of us.

He shifted his gaze from his newly manicured looking nail to mine and raised an eyebrow at me. "Aren't you partners at the grand ball?"

"We're not"

"We are" I turned to Trevas because of his answer. "We are?"

"Why? You don't want to?" Trevas asked before lowering himself and placing his elbow above his knee and looking at me.

"Of course I want to" he suddenly smiled at my answer and that's when I realized how ugly you listen to what I said. Of course I want to?

"I mean, I don't want to but I don't want to" I continued causing him to look back at me and raise an eyebrow.

I was caught in my senses. I shouldn't have spoken.

"What do you really want?" Trevas asked with a laugh.

"You're the one he wants" I suddenly turned to Lina and looked at her badly but she just laughed at me before facing Lieutenant Jared. "You, you're the one I want '

I saw lieutenant Jared shake but he bit his lip so hard that it seemed as if he was trembling and holding back a smile.

"Do we need to get the clothes on?" Trevas asked Antoine.

"I'm sorry for your highness, but you have to pay first" Antoine promised but instead of getting angry like the usual reaction of a royal, Trevas just laughed before leaning back on the sofa.

"Send it to my courtyard before Saturday night, the head of the funds manager will take care of paying all the bills" said Trevas.

"It's settled then?" Antoine asked before shaking hands with Trevas and slapped him on the arm as if they were very close but my forehead frowned even more when Trevas didn't growl and even laughed at what Antoine whispered to him.

After we got to the boutique I thought we would go back to the palace but instead of the palace we went to the opposite side of a lake located in the middle of the kingdom. There is a high fence surrounding the lake to prevent anyone from falling but there is a ladder down to a deck where there are boats.

"Why are we here?" I asked as I followed Trevas down there to the deck.

"Let's have lunch"

"Lunch? Here by the lake?" I will ask.

"Try Alissa, eat the fish there in the lake" Lina said laughing behind me and next to her was Lieutenant Jared who had been quiet for a while but I wasn't surprised. I know lieutenant Jared is the type of man who is not talkative.

"I'm asking a good question, aren't I?" I promised Lina but she just laughed at me and teased me.

"We're going to take a boat to the boathouse restaurant" Trevas said before someone handed what was there to the man standing next to the boat.

I looked at the lake and there I just saw a building in the middle of the lake. It's just one floor but the wall is made of glass so I can see from here the customers looking out at the blue lake.

We boarded the boat but I was surprised when instead of paddling the man Trevas talked to earlier, he just sat behind us and the boat we were riding in spontaneously started. I looked out over the water and peeked at what was driving the boat and there I saw two large seahorses.

When the boat stopped on a deck I immediately got off and looked up at the boathouse restaurant in front of me.

‘Hailey boathouse restaurant’ that’s what it says above the door.

We went inside and sat at the table in front of the window so I could see from here the beautiful lake.

A woman came to our table and took our order. Her hair was brown and it was a bit curly while her eyes were pitch black. I looked at the nametag on her chest and saw her name was 'Kaylie'.

Kaylie read our orders before she nodded and walked over to the kitchen so we were left four at the table.

We didn't wait that long for the food to arrive but we talked a lot. I didn’t realize that in the short time the four of us had been together was the amount we had gone through.

After we ate, lieutenant Jared came back because he had to go to the training camp, so we decided to go back to the palace even though Lina was trying to go to the famous Maxica Academy because of the palace -like palace on its campus.

"Until now I'm still annoyed with Alastor" Lina suddenly said in the middle of our conversation as we were inside the carriage back to the palace.

Trevas stopped and turned to lina before raising an eyebrow as if telling her to continue talking.

"Everyone hates you" said lieutenant Jared who had been quiet for a while. Just really about Lina he suddenly chattered.

Lina slapped lieutenant Jared's thigh because they were side by side while Trevas and I were side by side in front of them like we always were. Lieutenant Jared sighed because Lina hit him but he didn't say a word when Lina raised an eyebrow at him and just caressed his thigh.

"Who can't be annoyed don? Very arrogant, inherited from his demon mother" said Lina before crossing her arm over her chest and leaning on Lieutenant Jared's shoulder mat.

"No offense Trevas" he chased before signing the peace but Trevas didn't speak and just smiled at him so I frowned.

"Seriously, aren't you even angry with everything Alastor and your mother did to you?"

Trevas turned to me and our eyes met before he shifted his gaze to his hand on his thigh as if it were a very interesting thing.

"Of course I hate them" Trevas said sparingly but I was still not convinced. I can see how he puts up with those two women even though they are too bad and if I was just with him I would have buried those two in the ground a long time ago.

"Then why don't you fight back?" Lina asked so I turned to her and saw that even lieutenant Jared who was next to her was also looking at Trevas as if he also wanted to know why it was like that if Trevas was patient with the people who hurt him.

I have never seen Trevas retaliate against people who are in arrears with him. Even among the citizens of Beifang who hate him for being a dark user he does nothing

Trevas sighed before leaning back. "Of course I tried to fight back, but almost someone died innocent because of that"

We all fell silent because of what he said and waited for him to speak again.

"I was 3 years old at the time ... No one knew I was a dark user but I accidentally changed my appearance when the queen-mother tried to lock me inside the manticore cage behind the palace"

"She did what?" I shrugged my question and couldn't help but raise my voice. He imprisoned Trevas in the manticore's prison? He imprisoned 3 YEARS OLD Trevas in the manticore’s cage?

"I changed my appearance before I was even approached by the manticores but I couldn't control myself because of the anger I was feeling so I could almost kill a girl." I suddenly remembered what happened to Freya because of the anger she felt at the death of her parents.
