Chapter 32: Chapter 32

Chapter 31

Psyche raised her hand and from there a blue light appeared before it gradually became brighter until Freya was dazed and blindfolded as her disciples went back underground because of intensity of light.

When the light disappeared, Psyche's hair was white and her wings grew bigger and more blue but before Freya realized that Psyche had used her ultimate skill, Psyche flew in her direction but immediately. She protected it when she crossed her glasses in front of her and there appeared a round transparent shield with what was written in another language.

And that was it, the beginning of the battle between a winter demon and a goddess of butterflies who were both the most powerful and dreaded powers of all.

Freya was out of breath because they had been fighting with Psyche for a while but she still didn't take her eyes off it and prepared herself to rush again but before Freya could take a step she was suddenly statuesque in her position when she saw a familiar man. not far away and in the man's hand was a baby.

Freya stopped and stared at Henrick in shock who looked around already full of corpses of people and some of those corpses Henrick knew had grown up in this division.

"Henrick" Freya calls him but Henrick backs away from him.

"What have you done?" Henrick's eyes showed fear and frustration as he looked around at the corpses and at Freya.

"Let me—" before Freya could finish what she was saying, Psyche suddenly appeared in front of her and grabbed her by the chest causing her to stiffen in place.

From there in Psyche's hand her ice powers flowed into Freya's heart which was already enveloped in anger and darkness. Freya knelt on the floor and held onto her chest which was now aching from the intensity of the cold she was feeling. From there in his chest his body gradually froze until he could do nothing but look at Henrick in the distance until he lost consciousness.

"Did you kill her?" Henrick hesitates to ask Psyche who was one of his friends when he was young because they both grew up here in the kingdom of Beifang.

"It's nice to see you again too, and no. She's not dead yet" Psyche replied before looking at Freya who was now lying on the floor and her hair that was once white was gradually returning to its original color. black.

"He killed too many innocents and I'm sure Zeus won't let him go"

Zeus is the god of lightning and he is also the recognized most ruler of all the gods and goddesses left here in the world.

Henrick walked closer to Freya's body and knelt beside her and caressed her gentle face but Henrick suddenly stopped when the 3months old Trevas he had been carrying started crying.

"Is that your son?" Psyche asked and Henrick nodded. "With her?"

Henrick didn't say a word but that was enough of an answer for Psyche who sighed. "So this is why you've suddenly disappeared these past few years? So you ran away from your responsibility as crown prince for this woman?"

Henrick didn't say a word and sighed before staring at Freya. "I can't marry anyone else except her"

"But you have to Henrick" Psyche promised emphatically. "You have to be responsible because not only your life is at stake here but the safety of the whole kingdom we both grew up in"

Henrick bit his lip before trying to hold back his tears. He tried. He tried to fight his feelings for Freya but this was the result. He tried, but it's not enough.

"You have to marry the firlame princess because otherwise they will be enemies of the kingdom especially now that you ran away from your marriage that should have been last year" Psyche said before touching Henrick's shoulder.

"You will take care of her right?" Henrick asked before standing up and facing Psyche.

"Zeus and I will take care of her" Psyche said before pinching Henrick's shoulder.

"Alright"

"You should return to the palace, I'll take care of him" Psyche said

Henrick looked at Freya one last time before starting to walk towards the palace to correct everything he had done. 'I'm sorry Freya, but I have to do this ... For the kingdom and for Trevas' future ...'

-

I silently watched Trevas' back as we walked back to the main courtyard building. For some reason, it’s sad to look behind Trevas as he walks alone. She was quiet, but I knew that everything she learned about her real mother had a profound effect on her.

“Trevas” I almost whispered calling him but he stopped walking and turned to me. He still smiled at me but there were mixed emotions in his eyes that were probably disturbing his mind.

"I'm here for you ok? Whatever you are and whoever your parents are ... I'm here" I suddenly noticed Trevas' serious face and stared at me before walking closer to me.

"You do know how to melt a heart, don't you?" He said and I was about to speak when he suddenly pulled me closer to him and hugged me tightly. He plunged his myka on my neck so my body hair stood on end when I felt his breath touching my skin.

"Are you ok?" I asked him but he did not answer. I just stretched out my hand and combed his hair as he tightened his hand wrapped around my waist.

"You're the first" he whispered but because we were close I could hear his trembling voice. It's probably too much for him to know that the mother he considered from childhood is not what he is and his real mother doesn't know if she's still alive or not.

"Im the first?" I asked, unable to understand what he was saying.

"You were the first to tell me all my life that you're there for anything and who else am I" this time I tightened my grip on him. I don’t know but I get hurt every time I think about all Trevas went through. Her father is busy running the kingdom while her step mom and brother have been poisoning her since childhood and trying to disperse her and I doubt she has friends who accept her being a dark user.

Actually, I was just like him before I met Anna. Just as drak users are discriminated against for having demon blood, so water users like me are discriminated against for being weak. So I also experienced smallness and alienation when I was still in Bauxacel.

"Luke is so lucky to have someone like you to like him" I was suddenly stunned by what he said. He might be lucky, but he wasted my feelings for him.

"But he's so stupid to hurt you like that" I suddenly smiled but my eyes turned red and watered. It felt good to have someone appreciate you.

I don't know how long Trevas and I stayed in our place but we just walked back to the main building when Trevas took care of me because he said I might get sick because of the cold breeze and even though I'm an ice user and I'm not affected by the cold no longer made me howl and followed him into the main building.

Lina was no longer in the living room after we entered. Probably asleep because Trevas and I had been talking for so long.

"We should sleep too, the meeting is still early tomorrow" said Trevas so we went up to the second floor at the same time where the three rooms we were staying were. There is another room on the first floor which is the master bedroom but Trevas doesn't want to use it because it's too big for him.

Trevas walked to the door of his room and I was there at the opposite door when he was.

"Alissa" I turned to her and saw we were both holding on to the door knob of our bedroom door.

"When everything is ok here in Beifang, I myself will come with you back to Bauxacel" he said but I was not surprised that he knew about my plans and I will not be surprised if he already knows that I am Alissa Knoxx 'which is thought by most and dead. He probably asked Lina and me to investigate but I don't really mind because he has the right to know everything.

"You don't have to, maybe I just need your name and staff to"

"No, I will come with you myself. I want to get back everything you did for me" I frowned, I had nothing to help him other than to join him in the war against the barbarians.

"I didn't really do much" I said as he nodded.

"You've done alot Alissa, you don't know what help you can do just by staying at my side" Trevas said before coming up to me and holding my head and messing up my hair a bit.

"Good night" he said before walking into his room.

"Good night" I said even though I knew he wouldn't hear that before I entered my own room.

The next day, I listened intently to the discussion at the meeting with the king and the ruling generals and ministers in the kingdom. There are two generals who are not at the meeting today because they are on the eastern borders and are watching every movement of the Firlame people.

I didn't quite understand what was discussed in the meeting because I was still drowsy. Bwiset na Trevas kasi 'to, ginawa akong' Advisor 'niya daw kuno kaya niya lagi ako sa mga tulong para daw Updated ako sa mga nangyari which is a good thing. The only thing I really don’t want is waking up early.

After a few hours of talking and arguing with the people in the room it was finally over, the meeting was also over but the only thing I remembered from the conversations was about Trevas ’coronation day to be held next week.

I stretched when we got out of the meeting room in the palace hall and yawned shamelessly even though people saw me walking out as well.

I stopped yawning when I saw Lina at the door and blocking the path of lieutenant who was wrinkled as he looked at her.

To be continued...
