Kyle Greenwood’s POV
"Hold it right there, Sonia, I said when I sighted Sonia in front of me as I walked out of my room leaving Kimberly and her friends in the room.
I can't just take it in anymore, I can't keep watching this drama go on like this, and I think it is time to put an end to me and this Sonia marriage of a thing so that I can focus my attention on my kids and Kimberly, to me, they are my real family.
The hatred I see in Kimberly's eyes towards me is heartbreaking, I do not know how much of that I can continue to take, so I think it's time I summoned the courage I need so that I can talk to her.
Playing with Alex and Sandra just one night showed me how much I am missing as a father and I am wondering what life will be if I eventually have Kimberly as my wife instead of Sonia, thinking of it alone is overwhelming.
I do not think it will be easy getting Kimberly on my side though, but I have to try and if I have to do this, I have to, first of all, get Sonia out of the way, I know for a fact that she is marrying me because of my family’s wealth and not because she loves me as she claims she does and somehow if I can get her to talk about it, I may as well have evidence so that my parents will see her for who she is and put an end to this marriage thing.
I made sure to put my phone on record mode so that I can record I and Sonia's conversation.
"Sonia, I am talking to you," I called angrily as she kept on walking majestically towards the living room, I need to provoke her so that she can say something reasonable to help me with my plan.
"What is it, Kyle?" She asked stopping and turning to face me.
"What was that display in my room for?" I asked, trying to sound angry so that I can provoke her.
"Excuse me?" Sonia asked angrily, furrowing her brows at me.
"I do not appreciate you calling Kimberly names," I told her spitefully.
"Oh, so you are here to fight me because of her, that slot," Sonia said and again this pissed me off for real, I am quite angry with her for calling Kimberly my mistress earlier but calling her a slot is out of the question.
"Watch your language, Sonia, that woman is not a slot and she is a better woman than you will ever be," I told her again filled with rage for real this time.
"Seriously?" Sonia asked walking closer to me.
"Yes, Sonia, seriously and if I were allowed to choose between you two, I would choose her ten times over, you know why? That is because she is a million times worth more than you will ever be, besides I know you do not love me, you are only here because of what you can get being my family's daughter in law, that's how cheap and shameless you are, and Kimberly would never do a thing like that, I bet if you where in her place you would have used your kids to rip me off by now," I told her sharply, and I meant what I just said to her.
"You know what, Kyle, you are right about that, if those kids were mine, I would have used them so much to drain you of everything you hold dear," Sonia snapped and I think I have hit the spot where I wanted her to spill the bean.
"Oh my gosh, Kyle," Sonia said and scoffed at me, biting down her lower lip at the same time, pulling some strands of hair away from her face furiously, I remember she does this whenever she gets very angry
"Come on Sonia, say something useful, I need you to say something useful, " I urged her within me as I glared at her.
"You know, I used to think that I loved you before but I think I am wrong, and you know what, now I do not feel a thing for you, and that is the truth," Sonia finally said and continues.
"In a matter of fact, Kyle, I am only marrying you for your family’s wealth and you are right about that, I mean who wouldn't, there is so much I can do with your family’s money you cannot begin to imagine it, along with the power that comes with it, that is why I can never be like that tramp, your mistress, who does not know how to use the tool she has," Sonia said and continues again and I am glad that I am recording this.
"And if you think for a second that I care about what happens in your life, darling, you got it wrong, cause I don't," she said sarcastically this time, folding her arms under her breasts and eying me with a smirk on the corner of her lips.
"I know that you don't, I have known that a long time ago actually," I said to her, nodding my head too, feeling happy inside of me that she is saying this.
"Good for you, Kyle," she said, still with that mocking smile at the corner of her lips, " but your parents, they do not know, Kyle and I will make sure it remains that way, I am going to use them in every way possible that I can and I am going to make this marriage so unbearable for you that you would wish you have never come in contact with me and I will make sure to manipulate your parents to torment you for me," Sonia said glaring at me.
"Oh yeah?" I said, wishing she could say more.
"And what was that thing you said the other day? You think that you will make this marriage hell for me?" she asked again and then, continues
"Oh no, Kyle, it is I who is going to make it so unbearable, that you will forever regret Crossing my path and you know what? You will beg to leave but I will never give you the opportunity to, and once I get my hands on that money of yours and your family's power I am sure going to hold on to it until my last breath," Sonia said rather spitefully.
"Seriously, Sonia?" I asked, "and what do you hope to achieve by doing all that? Torture me? Torment me? and for what? For power and money?" I asked her, "what about your life, do you not care about being loved by your husband or having a happy family of your own?"I asked again wondering why she would be so shallow and selfish as to not care about that.
"No, Kyle, I do not care about that in a matter of fact, and in case you haven't noticed, I care about myself more, I do not care about having a loving husband if that is what you are asking me of, I have long gone past that, I thought once that it could happen but not anymore, Kyle, they never exist anyway, take your family and mine, for example, there is no such thing as a happy family, it is the money and power that keeps them going, so I wonder what you will be doing with that woman, Kimberly, if she is the woman you say you love, I tell you, darling, you will be tired of it after a couple of months, so I will be saving you the stress," Sonia said to me, putting on that smirk on her face again.
She turns and wanted to leave but turned to face me again as if she remembered something.
"You know what, Kyle, you should count yourself lucky though," she paused and continues, "no, your parents should consider themselves lucky that they have already gotten the grandchildren they so much desire to have because I was not even planning on giving them one," Sonia told me and I am surprised at her statement right now.
I never saw this one coming, "you mean you do not mind if you do not have kids of your own?" I asked just to make sure of it.
"Yes, Kyle, do you think I am going to ruin this sexy body of mine just to bear kids for you and your family?" She asked and scoffed at me.
Oh no, I said within me, my parents would go crazy when they hear this part, and I am happy it is all on record, she did not care about having kids of her own in this marriage if it had happened, not that I was willing to get her pregnant anyway but for her to say that herself, it came as a shock to me because I never imagined she can say a thing like that.
"Why are you so surprised, Kyle, did you think for once that when I told you I loved you that I meant it?" She asked peering at me.
"No, darling, I never meant it, I was putting on an act, you know me, I like to act and that is what I am going to do in front of your parents today, I will make sure this marriage takes place this month and you know what, those kids of yours, they are going to suffer just as I will make you suffer, you and that stupid mistress of yours, you all are going to regret coming into my life, I promise you that, Kyle," Sonia told me spitefully and glaring at me too, I think she meant every bit of word she has just said.
Thank goodness I decided to record this, I am sure going to use this to stop this marriage she thinks she has under control, let me see how my parents will continue with this alliance after listening to this, I need to just exercise some patience and wait until my parents finish with Kimberly, I am going to call them and play this record so that they can see Sonia for who she truly is.
I can't believe that I have liked her before as a friend, I did not know she has such a dark heart as this, I do not care now if Kimberly accepts me or not but one thing I am going to make sure of is that Sonia Never Get What she Wanted by being my wife, my kid's lives are on the line too.
"You are speechless Kyle, is there a problem?" she asked me, suddenly changing her facial expression, she is pretending now as if we were only having a friendly conversation earlier, I wanted to ask her reason for this sudden change when I heard footsteps and I think that is the reason for her sudden change.
"Come on, Kyle darling, let us go, we should not be keeping mum and dad waiting, and do not worry everything is going to be alright, because I already forgave you for cheating on me," she told me again with a bright smile now on her face, patting my cheek as well.
"Oh, you are finally out," she said, looking ahead, I turned around to see Kimberly and her friends working alongside one another.
They are the reason for Sonia's sudden change, and I know why she changed her act, she wants Kimberly to think that we were just chatting, and from Kimberly's look, I think Sonia succeeded.
"I will not take it easy on your mistress, Kyle, so bear that in mind," Sonia said whispering in my ears, and then kissed my cheek after that, "Let's go, darling, let's go... Mum and Dad are waiting..." Sonia said aloud again so that Kimberly and her friends who are standing behind us could hear her, and then, continued working majestically again in front of me.
I stood still and waited for Kimberly and her friends to walk past me before bringing out my phone from my pocket and then stopping the recording I played it again just to be sure of it, "got you, Sonia b*tch," I said to myself before putting the phone back into my pants pocket.
"It's time to play..." I said to myself again and then, followed behind Kimberly and her friends...
