Chapter 86: Chapter 86

"What?" I asked looking from Sonia to Mum, able to believe my ears.

"It is true, Kyle, Sonia called your Dad after she told me about it," Mum told me.

"And you let that happen?" I asked, still surprised by what I just heard, how can Mum allow Sonia to call to tell Dad about something like this without first talking to me about it?

"What do you expect me to do, Kyle, Sonia was furious when she saw the test result, I mean who wouldn't, she is your fiancée, even I was surprised and speechless at the moment that I could not even think of anything, not until your dad ordered that Sonia get the kids here, as he is going to attend an important meeting at the moment, I cannot believe you kept something like this away from me, I am you mother, Kyle, " Mum told me, and then walked over and sat down slowly on the couch, Sonia walked closer and sat beside Mum too.

I stared at them feeling too dazzled to say anything to them at the moment, I only know that this has gone out of hand and I do not know what to do about it at the moment.

"By the way, Kyle, your Dad will soon be here, he said he is going to leave the office after his meeting, he wants to meet the kids, and he has also asked doctor Benjamin to come by the house to take samples from the kids to carry out another test, he wants to be sure that they are truly his grandkids," Mum told me rather slowly, gazing steadily at me.

Oh no, Sonia, what did I ever do to Sonia? I asked within me turning from Mum to stare steadily and furiously at Sonia who stared back at me looking so innocent, what did I ever do to deserve such punishment from this w*tch? I asked within me, unable to bear what I have just heard knowing that Dad will never let this go and I am afraid of what his decision will be concerning those kids.

"Dad..." Sonia cried, standing up immediately from the couch, I turned around to see Dad walking into the living room.

"Dad Kyle doesn't love me, Dad, he does not love me," Sonia cried embracing Dad, sobbing or pretending to be sobbing, I guess.

"That's enough child," Dad said patting Sonia tenderly at her back, "do not worry, dear, everything is going to be alright," Dad consoled her.

I looked at her knowing that she is only acting to gain my parent's sympathy, I feel like I am about to explode from anger and from the rage I feel inside witnessing this deceitful act of Sonia.

"What is this I am hearing, Kyle?" Dad asked me, "you have kids outside and yet you decide to keep it from us your family?" Dad asked walking closer to where I am standing.

I just stared at him unable to say anything, "where are the kids, Sonia?" Dad asked turning to Sonia again.

"They are in one of the guest rooms," Sonia replied him.

"Bring them out here," Dad told her, "Doctor Benjamin is here to take their samples, I need to make sure that these kids are from Kyle," Dad added looking at me, "let me see the DNA test results you have already," dad told Sonia again staring from me to her.

"Here it is, Dad," Sonia said producing the test results from her bra, "excuse me, Dad," I had to hide it here when Kyle wanted to take it forcefully from me," Sonia told Dad because of the way he looked at her when she produced the paper, I am sure he is a little surprised because of where she brought the paper out from, Sonia explained to Dad sounding and looking like she is shy about it but I know she is only faking it.

"It is all right, Sonia," Dad told her unfolding the paper and looking at it steadily for a while, "it is alright, I will have to take it from here, go and get the kids," Dad instructed her.

"Excuse me, Dad," Sonia told Dad, excusing herself.

"We have to return those kids to their home, Dad," I told Dad, finally finding my voice to speak.

"Excuse me?" Dad asked looking at me, "did I hear you say you are going to return the kids to their home?" Dad asked glaring at me, "if those kids are my grandkids, then, this is their home," Dad told me.

"Are you not going to ask how come about the kids?" I asked Dad angrily, wondering why he is acting this way, is it because of his desperation in getting an heir? I think that is the point of all of this.

"It does not matter to me, Kyle, you are a man who is expected to explore, so it does not matter to me how, what matters to me now is to be sure that these kids in question are my grandkids," Dad told me, walking past me now to sit on the couch as well and before I could say any anything Dr Benjamin walked into the living room.

"Hello, Mr Kyle," Doctor Benjamin said walking up to me.

"Hello Mrs Greenwood," Doctor Benjamin said to Mum walking closer to where she is seated, I did not bother to reply to his greeting because I am not in the mood right now.

"Hello, Doctor Benjamin," Mum replied, "Have a seat," Mum added waving her hand to the couch opposite her, and almost immediately I saw Sonia walking into the living room holding Alex and Sandra in her arms leading them into the living room.

"Are these the kids?" Dad asked Sonia and then turned to look at me, I just bit my lower lip and making a fist on both palms, the person I am worried about now is Kimberly, I know she must think I am in on this, and there is Jimmy who I believe is still outside the gate waiting for me to bring the Kids out, why must Sonia do this? Especially on the same day, I spoke to Kimberly about being the biological father of her kids, gosh I feel so miserable right now.

"Yes, Dad," Sonia replied after staring at me for a while.

"They are cute," Dad replied turning to glance at me again after staring at the kids too for a while.

"These are the Kids, Dr Benjamin," Dad told the doctor pointing at Alex and Sandra while he continues to stare from Alex to me.

"I think I see a resemblance here," Dad said standing up from where he is seated and walking towards Alex now.

"You think so too?" Mum suddenly said to Dad.

"Yes, you do feel the same way, right?" Dad asked Mum walking back to sit beside her...

"Yes I do, darling, I told Sonia the same thing," Mum replied Dad too, nodding her head.

"I want to go to my mummy," Sandra said staring at the faces in the living room, I know that they must be frightened judging from the looks on their faces.
