"He is alright now, you don't need to worry about him," Doctor Sam replied.

"That is good to hear, can I go and see him? I mean, I need to check up on him,"

"I am sorry, Kyle, but that is not going to be possible,' Doctor Sam said.

"Why is that?" asked, "Is it because of Mrs Kimberly?" I asked again, guessing that should be the reason.

"No, it's not that," he replied.

"If that is not the reason, then, why can I not see him?" I asked looking at him, "Or is it because of my parents?" I asked again when he said nothing.

"Not that either," he replied, getting up from the chair.

"Then what? Why won't you let me see the boy," I asked, trying to sit up on the bed.

That is because I have discharged him," Doctor Sam said.

"What? Did you discharge him already? Is he good to go or did Kimberly ask you to discharge him?" I asked sitting up properly now on the bed.

"You have to lie down Kyle, you need to recover,"

"Why did you discharge him so soon? Did my family put you up to this? I asked ignoring, still sitting up.

"This is what my mum was asking you about earlier right?" I asked looking at him still.

"Don't worry, Kyle, I made sure the boy is going to be fine before discharging him," Doctor Sam told me.

"They made you do it, right? My parents made you discharge him so soon, tell me the truth, Doctor Sam," I asked again fuming with anger, knowing that to be the main reason why they are gone so soon, now I will not get to see Alex, I wanted to see him before he leaves and my chance of explaining things to Kimberly is ruined too.

"Listen to me, Kyle," Doctor Sam said sitting down on the chair again, "The truth is that your parents asked me to discharge the boy quite alright, but Mrs Kimberly also wanted to leave this hospital as soon as possible, the reason for that is what I do not know, I tried asking her myself, but she wouldn't tell me either, so it is not entirely your family's decision for Alex to leave the hospital immediately," Doctor Sam said.

"Besides, if Alex wasn't doing well, you know me, I would not have allowed him to go, the only thing is, Alex still needs to be observed at least for the next 24 to 48 hours which I have specifically told Mrs Kimberly to do so and also if the need arises, I gave her my phone number to call me or better still take him to another hospital, but in all, Kyle, you do not need to be worried about the boy, he will be all right as far as I know, "Doctor Sam added.

"Did you say Mrs Kimberly wanted to leave as soon as possible?" I couldn't help but ask Doctor Sam again.

"Yes, Kyle she came to me very early this morning and asked for the discharge papers, what I do not know is if your mum or anyone pressured her to do so," Dr Sam told me.

I stared at him for a while, I can tell that he is telling the truth, I wonder if Kimberly did not leave this hospital as a result of the cheque Brian gave to her earlier and the treatment she received from Sonia or probably my mum, I think she must have also spoken to Kimberly.

"Did my mum speak to Mrs Kimberly?" I asked Doctor Sam just to make sure of it.

"Yes, Kyle, she did, I met them in front of my office talking last night, after I finished checking up on you," He replied.

That should be it then, my mum must have said something to make her want to leave the hospital as soon as possible, my family made her leave or probably her hatred for me, or both even, I said within me.

"As I said, Kyle, you need to take care of yourself now so that you can get back on your feet as soon as possible, it's time to put this behind you and move on, besides you do not know them before, do you? And thank goodness the boy is safe, safe with his family now, that is the most important thing, right?" Doctor Sam said gazing at me.

"I need to go back to my office now, Kyle, I have an appointment with a patient, I'll send a nurse to check up on you, " Doctor Sam said before standing up to leave again.

"Excuse me, Doctor Sam, I am going to need your help, I know this is against the hospital rules but I would like to ask a favour from you,"

"And what would that be? Doctor Sam asked, pausing by the door.

"I would like to have Mrs Kimberly's address or contact information if that is possible the both, I need to speak with that woman again," I replied.

"And why is that, Kyle? If I may ask, is there a problem?" Doctor asked again peering at me.

"No, Doc, there is no problem, it is just that I feel like there is a need to explain something to her, it is about something Brian did, the truth is she came searching for me earlier to give me back a cheque my family gave to her as compensation, I need to apologize to her for that because it did not go down well with her and I also need to apologize properly to her for what Sonia did to her," I told Doctor Sam.

"I will see what I can do, Kyle, as you know, it is against the hospital's rule," he said after a brief thought I guess because of how long it took him to reply.

"I know, Doctor Sam, that is why I called it a favour, do not worry, I will be very discreet."

"Alright, Kyle, see you later," Doctor Sam said before leaving again.

I heaved a sigh of relief, it's a good thing Doctor Sam agreed to give her address to me, and I am relieved too that her son is okay according to Doctor Sam.

I need to get better and I need to find a way to reach Kimberly, I need to apologize for what I and my family did, and most importantly, what I did to her in the past, it is a good thing she has a family of her own now, even so, I still feel the need to apologize properly to her for what I did in the past.
