Chapter 119: Chapter 119
"Why are they pulling over?" I asked no one in particular because the security man is still with me and the driver.
"Pull up in front of the police car," I instructed the driver seeing at the police car that has Sonia had pulled out of the road with one of the police officers stepping out of the car.
I quickly stepped out of my car and walked over to the police car with the security man walking closely behind me.
"What is going on here, is there a problem?" I asked the police officer who is now bringing Sonia out of the car.
"No, sir," he replied.
"No, then, why are you taking the handcuffs out of her hands?" I asked the police Officer again getting a little confused.
"We have just been instructed to let Miss Sonia go," the police officer replied.
"What?" I asked sounding surprised at how his reply sounded in my ears.
"Let her go? Let her go by whom, tell me, who instructed you to let her go, her Dad?" I asked wondering if Sonia's dad has gotten the information of her daughters arrest already and asked that she be released and I am wondering who called him already given the fact that he is not in the country right now.
"No, sir, it is not her dad, but your dad," the police officer replied yet again given me another surprising but ridiculous reply.
"My Dad? Look officer, do not give me that ridiculous reply, how can my dad ask you to release her?" I asked unable to believe them, I think Sonia is playing some tricks on them now but I am not going to allow it.
"Get her back in there and do not allow this woman to fool you, you are police officers for goodness sakes," I said to the police officers as the office driving already came out of the car to join us.
"I told you, Officer, that Mr Kyle here has lost his senses, and I am thankful anyway that I did not get ahead to marry him, and I also told you guys that he is trying to use me to cover up his crimes, I know his dad would not allow this to get to the people of this town because cannot afford the scandal," Sonia said, getting me more confused and infuriated.
"You cannot let her go, officers, not after what she has done to Kimberly," I told the police officers still dazzled about what is happening right now, as I do not seem to comprehend it at all.
"You call your Dad, Mr Kyle, I think it is best you hear directly from him," one of the police officers said to me.
"We are sorry for wasting your time like this Miss and Sorry for the inconvenience this might have caused," the other police officer said to Sonia apologetically.
"Please make sure to give us the right information next time, Mr Kyle," the first police officer said to me in a rather angry tone, "and if not for your position in the society, I would have had you arrested for giving us false information and misleading the police," he added.
"Do have a nice day Miss, and once again sorry for the inconvenience we might have caused you, Miss Sonia," the police officer said apologetically again to Sonia before they both entered the police car and drove off again.
I could not believe what just happened in front of me that I quickly pulled out my phone and dialled Dad's number, eyeing Sonia viciously too as I put the phone in my left ear waiting for dad to pick it up.
"Hello Dad," I said immediately dad answered the call.
"Did you give some police officers the instruction to let Sonia be released?" I asked Dad over the phone with my eyes on Sonia who just folded her hands staring at me with a smirk on the corner of her lip.
"Yes, Kyle, I did," Dad replied to my surprise, "who gave you the permission to go to the police in the First Place?" Dad asked again almost immediately in that deep voice of his as if I committed a grave sin, leaving me shocked and confused right now.
"Now leave that place and get back to the house this minute," Dad said authoritatively to me over the phone and then dropped the call after that.
"How did it go with your dad?" Sonia asked still having that smirk on her face that got me to lose my mind.
"What have you done this time you crazy b*tch?" I said immediately putting my palms around Sonia's neck unable to control the rage burning inside of me.
"I ask what you have done to my family, what hold do you have on them, on my dad, to make him order for your release even before you could get to the police station, you witch,?" I asked her with my palms still pressed around her neck, choking the life out of her and ignoring the security man who rushed towards me almost immediately trying to free Sonia from my grip.
"Get your hands off me, I want to teach this b*tch a lesson," I yelled at the security man pushing him aside with one arm while I am still holding on to Sonia's neck with the other.
"How dare you mess with me and my family," I said to Sonia in clenched teeth still pressing on to her neck and ignoring her struggle for me to set her free.
"Tell me, Sonia, who are the people working for you?" I asked her too, when I recalled that I had seen no one present at her house when we got there and I do not know who it was that informed my dad of her arrest within a short while for her to be set free again even before we got to the station, my hands still on her neck.
"Let her go, sir, or you are going to strangle her to death, you are not a murder...," the driver or the security man yelled at me, I do not know who it is that said that to me because the both of them are on me now trying to set Sonia free from my grip.
I suddenly let her go, when I heard the word murder, as it replayed inside my head...
